I don't agree for save money .. I don't see any drone less than 1000 to 1500$. $5000 is very very expensive to any formers insted of this they simply use hand spray it will not more than $30(mechine) and running cost is $0.05
I am a lover of technology. I would love to have a Agrodrone. But unfortunately. it is the worst business any farmer can do anywhere in the world. The exorbitant prices have unrealistic ranges. 1 good drone costs almost $ 20. and if you are careless. It ends up costing a few pieces of plastic a remote control a gps. than the same farm or more. With 40k I buy a fumigation plane and I don't have to spend on applications that guarantee absolutely nothing. what they offer is FALSE. That is false now the exorbitant prices of the applications. and that you need to pay for every little thing you use. Once again I love technology. but that technology does not cost that much money. Because people do not know, they become victims of an industry that will lead to total ruin. If you know how technology works, you know that what I say is true. It is NOT worth what it costs. and its functionality is 5% of what is actually needed. If you don't know about drones, don't make that mistake. From experience I say. Very expensive DJI Products. and you end up bankrupt. Because DJI's mindset is to force you to buy new equipment every time you call for a problem. I say this from experience not because someone has told me. For a FLEX ribbon cable of 20 dollars they wanted to charge me 1100 US dollars for a drone that cost 1500 the Phanton 4Pro. According to them, they had to change the gimbal and of course, I had a repair with them, and they charged me 100 USD for the diagnosis. Diagnosis they never made. I repaired it myself and ended up paying no more than 100 USD between the spare parts. That's why I tell you that these drones are not worth the money they charge. I want to build a drone for a small farm. But the drones cost more than the farm. Now if the farm is large it is not a business either, because the drone may work and fumigate a large area in 15 minutes maximum but if you have to work 2 hours, there are 8 batteries and each battery for a drone of these can easily cost 500 dollars without add the shipping cost then we are talking of only 4000 USD in only batteries that you have to have whether you want it or not. Because you are not going to wait 2 hours for a battery to charge to continue. For that I am desperate trying to find how to get me a basic autonomous application. You don't need all that technology to fumigate. Today with a 300 dollar drone you make your maps without paying hundreds of dollars to any company, there are free photometry and telemetry softwares and those applications of those same cheap drones. Flight plans are generated for you. If you know how to put together 4 nuts with a motor and a propeller you can build a very good drone for a fraction of the money. and GPS batteries and receivers are in the market for 1500 average and up to 2000USD very good technology. then the costs would be 4000 USD if you build a very good one with 2 batteries. they want to earn 15,000 USD average per individual sale, which is not bad for me. What I criticize is that it is too expensive. That is why I say it is cheaper to buy an airplane than to buy a couple of drones.
Really interesting perspective, I'm an Engineering student, and for a course, I'm currently researching the problems and limitations in the adoptions of drones in Agriculture. Would you be available to share your experience and opinion on a zoom call or email?
i don't know where you live and how much u use the gps technology on the farm equipment but i totally disagree with you. if you use it correct in precision agriculture. you earn that drone back in one or two seasons. I don't think you really understand the potential.
Less time driving tractors I'm all for that
Interesting information, Thank you.
in malaysia, we have been using drones for 9 years in agriculture
I want map website in which the drone goes and without man control
how many drones we need for automate all agriculture works, does it done by only one drone ar multiple.
wow😎
How do you get around the regulations that say you must fly the drone within line of sight?
you keep the line of sight and use binoculars.
In Canada the use of binoculars is totally illegal, and line of sight is 500 meters
@@keithtweedie8484 ohh. That sucks
We're not saying that you should fly outside of your line of sight.
👍👍
Try be a bit more fun for kids because I am a kid and it is a bit boring.🤪

For small scale farms sure, but it makes a ton of sense if you've got a 10+ acres. That's a ton of time spent that could be done doing anything else.
It is a large cost upfront but it pays itself off over time rather soon. It is very cost effective.
it depends on what kind of a farmer you are. check this out. this is the standard in some countries

Thanks for your comment Edwin. We’re sorry you had a bad experience with drones. That is not the case for most users. Best of luck to you.
