Big help. My 2015 fx4 scab 5.0 got stuck in park a couple days ago. I was able to pop the top trim off and manually actuate the shift detent so I can put in gear. I think I may have to replace the shifter assy. I thought maybe the brake pedal switch was faulty but the brake lights are working fine. Going to scan it with forscan when I get home. Thanks for taking the time!

If I replace mine, I’d rather not break any clips if I can help it, and I sure don’t want to take apart the console to replace the boot.
Hey I know this video is over 3 years old! But I had a question on the shifter portion. When you pull down the leather to remove that piece from under the shifter, can you just pull down on it? Or is there a specific way to do that to release the clips holding it up? I just didn’t want to yank down on mine and break clips if there’s a certain way to compress them so it just slides down. Thank you for your time.
you would think that by experience,people would realize that the automakers put most of this electronic crap in vehicles as standard "no delete option" for a reason even though many buyers dont want them.its just something else that will go wrong so you will take it back to dealer for service.then the dealer can nitpick any little issue to milk your wallet even more.the whole auto industry is a "steal more of customers money" scam.and millions are too busy or too stupid to see they are being milked for every last penny possible.
from where does that LED light for the box assembly get power? I took the center council out and I cant find the harness to connect it again, Can i power it from the cup holder ambiance light?

You almost need a head mount for the camera/phone. It must be a pain trying to do some of this single-handed. That said, awesome videos!

No no I specified you have to use a plastic trim just nice and easy pry down on each side and it will pop right off
