So an extra step of allowing maggots to "process" the cheese to create more exotic a flavor isn't all so weird. And consuming insects like maggots is done by people all over the world. Also consider all the times you have ever eaten outside and a fly landed on your food before you brushed it away or you bought food that was sitting out like say a doughnut.
