TOday marks the 10th year that the L.A. BEAST has had his youtube channel. August 7, 2010 was a historic day as the beast set off to achieve a decades worth of crazy eating challenges, stunts, world records titles and most importantly rediscovering his love for Crystal Pepsi. Since pepsi has not brought back Crystal Pepsi for a few summers now, the L.A. BEAST decided to take matters into his own hands. During a live stream fellow youtuber pixie666 suggested the the beast put pepsi in a Brita Water filter to make his own Crystal Pepsi. After doing research, the L.A. BEASt realized that taking the Caramel Coloring out of Cola was a lot harder than expected...until he stumbled upon a video by T-Media. Using coffee filters and patience, T-Media actually turned his Cola "Clear" in what is possibly one of the best examples of how to filter coloring out of cola. So what the L.A. BEAST did was go out and purchase some flexible metal tubing, over 1000 coffee filters, a bunch of Pepsi and a soda stream....and set off on his journey to create his own 2 liter bottle of Crystal Pepsi.

Beast! Huge fan. A few tips if you want to try this again.
1. Instead of a ton of filter paper, switch to activated charcoal (also sells as activated carbon) and only use a few filters. You can run the soda through the charcoal many more times and you won't get that cardboard taste.
2. Instead of carbonating the soda after you filter it, reduce it to a syrup using a food dehydrator (on low heat to prevent the sugars from carmelizing). Then you can use the soda stream to carbonate plain water and add the syrup to it, just like you would with the regular soda stream syrups.

also do this all in the refrigerator. doing this out in room temp lets wierd shit grow in the sugar water also adding to the terrible sickly oxidized taste. perferably doing this in a sealed container in the fridge would yield ultimate taste results as to not oxidize the flavors. please read this beast i love you

Run in through an RO, to remove pure water. Low heat would spoil it quickly. Treat syrup like milk
@@SuFFercater I was just about to post this. I like to rinse my filters with distilled water before using it for milk punch. You generate less loss of the original product as it isn't being wasted making the filters wet, and you can get rid of possible off flavors.

water pump and a sediment filter in a filter housing..... maybe cycle through a few times and switch out the filter if it gets to saturated......... probably be able to do it under 100$ depending; however if you can find someone who has access to a wine press filter it would do it probably in seconds:P(from direct experience it's crazy how clear it can make stuff)

I’d bet a vacuum pump would help speed it up. Maybe put it through a charcoal filter? Maybe go the opposite way and try using a centrifuge, it would separate the ingredients by mass.
@@RadDadisRad I'm afraid suing carbon could possibly remove some of the ingredients(scew the flavor), but can try like pleated or sediment which is close to a coffee filter.... guess the lower the microns the better but also harder to push it through? I know the wine filter used about 10~ or so filters sheets, was pretty much compressed in a vise to not leak(pain in the behind to tighten) and had a high pressure pump feeding it but I think maybe could get away with cycling it through filters and till it loses enough of it's coloring with less pressure
