I’m probably a bit older, but, it’s great fun to watch evolution. The parts and pieces have been putting trout in a creel since my grandad was a child. Newer interpretations keep it fun!
Always a worthy watch when you’re tying unfamiliar patterns, just to hear what methods you’d recommend Davie. Top stuff as always, tight lines on them too 👍🏻
Thank you Davie for this video. I like the way you tied this nymph. It's got that fish catching look to it. I appreciate the good videos you put on UA-cam. Thank you. God Bless n fish on.
Great tye as always Davie. I think a pink or orange Tungsten bead may provide a hotspot variant. I'll try both the silver and Hotspot for grayling as I think this pattern could work a treat over winter on our local chalkstreams.
That pattern is unfamiliar to me but I'll certainly tie some. It looks ideal for grayling on my local rivers (Tweed system). Many thanks once again Davie.
Hi Steve, I used the feathers from an English Partridge though you'll find feathers like this on most Partridge although I'm not sure about French as I've never had a full skin..I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie..

Never tied one before - best holy grail tie I've seen!

Beautiful tie Davie. Thank you for the varnish on the thread to seal the deal!
Been “learning” from you for 2 years. Love how you teach! Not a fan of SHORTS .... Thanks Davie

A waterboatman would suit this way of tying with a silver bead great tying Davie sir 😊👍👍
Just great. I'm sure, the Red-dotted will love it.
Love watching Davies vids saved so many hours of my life learning from him
Great to watch a "first go". As always you think about durability. I usually just lose mine to the rocks but love the wing case idea.
Yeah lovely tie as always Davie, simply explained, to the point and devoid of bling. A lovely little all rounder generic nugget of a fly, thanks!

HI Davey another beautiful fly, one question where do you get your partridge skins from and what colour of bird do you use? french or hungarian?
Hi Steve,

All the very best Davie..
Really nice tye Davie. Any reason you dont counter wrap the wire or the pheasant tail?
