The park out the back really sells this, secluded yet spacious. Most terraced mansion houses back onto another row behind, so this is quite special. Interior is done really well also, kept the entertaining areas formal and classic while the bedroom areas are modern and cosy.

A very pleasant property, well laid out, plenty of space. A small but ideal terrace to enjoy coffee and pastry during the warm month/s, looking out across quite the spacious private gardens where you're not going to be staring at tons of litter and hordes of people passing by. An oasis of calm.

That's definitely a nice central London apartment for the price!!
Good neighbourhood with upscale surrounding areas, spacious for a terrace house, great interior design with period features and private gardens.
I'd feel I'd got my money's worth for a place like this. Which is not how I'd feel if I'd paid 10 mill GBP for that Battersea place?!

Beautiful apartment and so pleased the interior has not been destroyed which sadly happens so often as ugly modern interiors are imposed upon beautiful period homes.
If I lived in London this would be high on the list. More period properties please.

Thank you for showing a traditional house. It makes a nice change from the ultra-modern, gray properties we usually see. The grey houses are impressive, but very similar to each other. It's nice to see a house with personality.

One thing I've noticed in all the London area home videos, yours included I've viewed... where is the laundry room/closet???? If I were paying 4M pounds or more, I would want to see where the laundry is done, hoping that I wouldn't have to go down the street to a public laundry or coin-op... it would be nice if you would show even the lowest mundane feature, the availability of doing laundry in a massively expensive place you are showing in your videos....

I prefer this one to the Battersea Park one. Outside the price, this one seems to encourage more of a community atmosphere with the closed park as a haven from the hustle and bussle of the road at the front.

Good presentation. Excellent apartment with all important ownership of freehold. Looks like a late 80's conversion updated in 90's and most recently with bathrooms. This gives warmth and character as you see evolution of interior which is lacking in full-on strip everything out and rebuild interiors you mostly feature. This apartment wins over Battersea apartment and the ghastly ugly £6m Chiswick house where owners stripped out all original features.

I appreciate that the owner kept the kitchen in the traditional style. I've seen homes from the late 1800's that featured all the beautiful, original hand carved woodwork, the fireplaces but for some reason the owners chose a modern Star Trek kitchen style.

@Y I that’s fair. I wouldn’t be too concerned about house prices increasing if I had £10m to spend 😂. It be more interested in the area. Battersea / Nine elms is still pretty much a shithole and will be a construction site for the next 10+ years. Little Venice is established, has great restaurants/cafes/bars, a stones throw from Paddington. Would definitely prefer it hands down.

Very nice flat and a great garden. Personally, I like it much better than the usual modern new buildings, even though both can have their own advantages and disadvantages. Especially elements like the roof light, which were likely created over the decades by previous owners, contribute immensely to the charm of older buildings, apart from the obvious details like the beautiful historic windows of course.
In general, though, what really scores here is the location. In the years I lived in London, I was always torn between Hampstead and Little Venice. I ended up living in Hampstead but often used Maida Vale as a running route. It's a really beautiful part of town.

So where does Stephen Fry hang out in London? I think I once saw a flat walk through that he had previously owned and I think they mentioned an area he moved to, but I can't remember - nor do I have a clue if he has moved in the last few years. Did he move after he married?
You can tell I keep up to date with show biz goss...
So far, I quite like the the smaller huf house and/or this flat - as long as I can have a 1 bedroom barn conversion on at least 10 acres, with either a lake or river...

Hi Guys. Stucco ( st-ah-co) is a an aggregate that is applied to walls both interior and exterior to bring out relief design. Today in order to get a relief design on exterior walls, most stucco covers styrofoam design features in order to give a distinct look although, when those Victorian town homes were built I 'am sure it was stone as a a base.
Question: From time to time you mention listing grades for historical homes - in this case Grade 2 listed. Perhaps in a future video you could breakdown what the Grade categories are and what restrictions accompany each of them.

You should listen to Lulu's classic song ' To Sir with love ' from the movie of the same name. The movie was groundbreaking for its time in addressing racism. I was surprised you did not know who Lulu was as she was a pop icon of her time who has endured through the decades. Lulu, Petula Clark and Twiggy led the female British Invasion of North America with the, now historic, Carnaby Street fashion and music the UK exported to here in Canada and the US.
