Gawd damn Behringer. You guys truly transformed your self into an incredible synth company. Way back when you were known for low grade speakers and mixers, but now... affordable and amazing synths?! Way to adapt and excel. Awesome
I am SO HAPPY about this synth! Every time Roland would announce something new I'd hold my breathe, and wish it was something like this... I gave up on that quite a while ago. :) I love that you guys are making this and filling in a giant hole in the current synthesizer landscape.
Elsif he just played patches so how can you tell that this is better than Roland or filling a gap. Mmmmmm there was nothing demonstrated here but sounds . I'm sure. It's great but what you are writing is not visible in this video. Pure interpretation
Just bought one today. Can’t wait to get it oh my gosh!! All I’ve had is a keystep for your model d, and an Arturia keylab for computers but I still don’t understand VSTs and stuff. I’m so dang excited! Thank you covid for this incredible synth, I will continue to sing praises of behringer to anyone who will listen.
Many synth sounds grate on my ears - having owned many including a minimoog, Roland System 700 modular, Dx7 etc - what I find about the Deepmind 12 is that it never grates on my nerves even when the patches are distorted to the s***house. The Deepmind12 is very musical synth in my opinion - must get one- thanks for the demo.
I just bought one today. A friend of mine owns a local music store and it wasn't selling and there really are no synth players around here. SO he gave it to me for $599.99 and threw in the case for it. Lovely synth. Just AMAZING!
Thank you for the great sounding and playing demo! Can't wait to try it out. Juno homage may it be, but so far it sounds more moog-ish/prophet-ish to me, which is fantastic.
Jon F. Carlssen you are completely right, It really sounds great. I have monos, modulars, and well yes I have the 4 voices elektron analog four, but I like to sequence the Elektron more like a 4 track sequencer. So this thing with 12 voices and so much more I've been lusting for.. And it's here! Now it's just a waiting game.
Wow!! This thing looks and sounds fantastic; some very unique sounds coming out of this in the patches recital. I can't believe Behringer have done such a good job on their first breaking in on the synth market. I'm sure this will sell like hot cakes. Great job Behringer. Cheers
The pad on 3:33 sounds warm, and what I can hear with minimal fx, if none, and you see that not all voices are used when he plays the chords, and it still sounds great. This synth sounds great also with fx of course, great programing, and though it's an analog synth it can sound digital as well. I hope to get hold of it in a few months. It's a German company, though I live in Europe I guess I have to wait. A lot of big orders from the states. I want an analog polysynth, I'm really looking forward to this killer synth. A real analog with 12 voices.
I never cared for analog/digital, but DM12 sounds amazing, also the effect are great! I was going to get a Tetra but once I heard this one (and of the Desktop version), I will wait for it.
Really bloody good presets, this video gives a much better idea of the unit at heart than we have previously heard. One thing I love about this synth is it displays the used voices on a backwards scale. Refreshing. Did Ben do the entire bank? Good move
Behringer really smashing it at the moment with good products, synths and modules at a fraction of normal price. Just shows how the big companies have been ripping us off for years.
I own many Behringer products like DM12, mixers, speakers, and pedals. Like most people, I'm on a limited budget so their affordability and quality is a no-brainer. It helps that Behringer owns its own production facilities in China though to keep their prices more competitive. It's farming out IC boards, keyboard beds, chasses, and other components plus shipping costs that raise the prices for many manufacturers. Owning their own manufacturing facilities helps Behringer to control the quality with every step of production and to quickly correct defects at a minimum financial loss. As a side note, even U.S. based MOOG-MUSIC uses Chinese circuit boards and associated components which they announced in late 2018 would add 25% to their production costs due to the Chinese tariff (import tax). Their popular Moog Grandmother (which I bought on sale for $799 in April 2019 at a $100 discount) had its regular $899 price increased by $100 to $999. There are a lot of factors to consider besides companies just greedily ripping off their customers...
The effects are digital. That certainly is a big part of the sound in these patches as well. You could of course get similar effects when running other analog synths trough digital FX units as well. So it's not really a new generation of synth from that perspective. None the less, the Deepmind is certainly an interesting product.
I'm amazed at how powerful the DM12 has proven to be. It captures wonderfully both big analog and crystalline digital textures in one instrument. And having the TC Electronics effects on board is a huge addition to the synth, perhaps bettering Yamaha's on board effects. I'm a huge JD-XA fan, but this is a synth which can rival the best of them. If only the panel wasn't so spartan and the keyboard the usual four octaves, it's my only quibbles with such an incredible synthesizer.
hej could you describe how the JapanBC patch at 8:30 is done? what oscilators settings for that metallic character and what effects are involved? filter envelope, lfo? would be nice.
I'm flabbergasted that Behringer made this. Can't wait to test it in the shop! The sound demo's easily beat the miniogue. It fills the gap between the Korg range and the DSI range, very interesting!
Good point, but sounding new isn't really what Behringer is about, hence, their reintroduction of vintage synths with just a few modern tweaks. Besides, the DM12 is closer sounding to the vintage Juno-106 which was amazing by itself. But, I do hope that Behringer takes what they've learned about the DM and make something new and affordable to call their own.
The synth is nice to improvise but to play songs its not fast enough to change from A12 to F56 for example. Is there another way then using the bankup/down and +/- knobs to change patches?? Could a midi pedal do the job?
Is the Deepmind 12 able to get midi from my computer through USB? Also is it possible to use the Deepmind as a midi controller? I do not have a soundcard with a midi output, and I am a guitarplayer, so my keyboard skills are limited.
Not bad sounding at all! But interesting how the analog character gets somehow lost under the massive digital FX. Is there a way to bypass or listen to demos without FX?

I respectfully disagree, but there's no denying that the DM12 is a seriously powerful, flexible and great sounding synth.
Elsif he just played patches so how can you tell that this is better than Roland or filling a gap. Mmmmmm there was nothing demonstrated here but sounds . I'm sure. It's great but what you are writing is not visible in this video. Pure interpretation
prophet 12 is pretty awesome a lot more pricey tho
I just bought mine today. I Love the synth
Those pad sounds are to die for.
The Kardashia preset certainly has a big bottom end to it...
What else could one expect from a Kardashian but a big bottom?
It sounds asstronomical!
@Oxford Blue I saw what you did there . . .
A real synth for real people, not a cheap toy as the "old" companies shove at us. Thank you. You earned a sale of my first Behringer product.
Just bought one today. Can’t wait to get it oh my gosh!! All I’ve had is a keystep for your model d, and an Arturia keylab

This synth just continues to surprise me. Outstanding.
Truly inspiring product launch.
Amazing sound! Very original sound performed by a master

Thanks for making the 12D, love this synth!!!!!
Its got such beautiful pads.
Thank you for the great sounding and playing demo! Can't wait to try it out. Juno homage may it be, but so far it sounds more moog-ish/prophet-ish to me, which is fantastic.
wow behringer! you excelled with this one
*Blown Away!* This is awesome!
Gosh I will do everything to be able to afford this. It's everything a modern synth should be and sounds fantastic.
Jon F. Carlssen you are completely right, It really sounds great. There is also a desktop version, I hope they will release both soon !! ! ! !

Very silky and physical sounding synth. Great job!
The first patch reminded me of The Shining, which is always a good thing
Wow!! This thing looks and sounds fantastic; some very unique sounds coming out of this in the patches recital. I can't believe Behringer have done such a good job on their first breaking in on the synth market. I'm sure this will sell like hot cakes. Great job Behringer. Cheers
Awesome! Can't wait to test one.
it does have some competition but i'm quite impressed with what i hear. it covers a very wide range of sonic capabilities.
The pad on 3:33 sounds warm, and what I can hear with minimal fx, if none, and you see that not all voices are used when he plays the chords, and it still sounds great. Wow! This is pure magic and for this price, seriously! Damn I am having one of those :D
I'd like to hear more about the integration of the effects into the modulation matrix. Seems very deep. Pretty unusual as well.
this is just 1 of begringer synths that i drool to get my hands on !!!
sounds rly awesome
I never cared for analog/digital, but DM12 sounds amazing, also the effect are great! I was going to get a Tetra but once I heard this one (and of the Desktop version), I will wait for it.
Thank you, Based Behringer.
Nice demo !
Really bloody good presets, this video gives a much better idea of the unit at heart than we have previously heard. One thing I love about this synth is it displays the used voices on a backwards scale. Refreshing.
Did Ben do the entire bank? Good move
I sold to this Synth. I love these sounds
I'm more of a piano/organ guy but this sounds effin' incredible.
Behringer really smashing it at the moment with good products, synths and modules at a fraction of normal price.
Just shows how the big companies have been ripping us off for years.
Well said.....everyone should be offered fair new quality priced goods
I own many Behringer products like DM12, mixers, speakers, and pedals. Like most people, I'm on a limited budget so their affordability and quality is a no-brainer. Exactly. This synth is awesome. I just bought mine today. Let the FUN begin!!
Cant wait till you start making a drum machine/sampler :D
3:54 - pretty sick!
It’s why we buy synths.
This is great!
Behringer's back!
Very nice. I am waiting for the desk top.
this demo has loads of great prog-rock patches
1:42 David Sylvian "Gone to Earth."
Inspiring!
Man, I just hope this one's going to be reliable, what a killer machine for a thousand bucks
I got mine for 700.
Devin Townsend is such a great synth player...
Blue Dolphin sounds like an old Kurzweil K2000, which is a great sound.
sounds like a Juno and matrix 12 had a baby :)
where is Jexus when we need him he would master it and blow every away
Yes, Jexus needs to make a comeback, his videos are tops.
Jexus is too good for the shitfest youtube has become
You mean the entire Internet?
I think Jexus went elsewhere than rest of us
AnalogAudio1 will make a demo soon :-)
excellent sounding synth
Very good....
blue dolphine is roland d50's soundtrack. love that patch.
I have impressed!!!!!
All the patches are from analog generators but the structure sound to me digital!!
New generation synth!!
The effects are digital. That certainly is a big part of the sound in these patches as well. You could of course get similar effects when running other analog synths trough digital FX units as well. It's seems to be Devin Townsend? Looks totally like him!
holy f sh... its MAGICAL.
Listening to this demo makes me instantly happy...
Nice !!!
Must have NOW!!
hej could you describe how the JapanBC patch at 8:30 is done? what oscilators settings for that metallic character and what effects are involved? filter envelope, lfo? would be nice.
01:32 sounds like the program editor owned a Roland D-50 in the past?
This thing sounds seriously good. If I were in the market for a new hardware synth for playing live I think I'd be getting one.
I want one....now!
If it has CV in/out it is Ultimate!
After this demo, DM12 earns the title of "MonsterSynth" (and that of a serious instrument, too!)
It is a killer synth
Sounds like.... a must have. If Arturia doesn't drop the price of their MatrixBrute, this DM12 will eat into their sales big time..
MatrixBrute is monophonic.
Jetset Willy I thought it had monophonic, paraphonic and duophonic (split keyboard) modes?
basically, it's not a polysynth
I'm flabbergasted that Behringer made this. Can't wait to test it in the shop! The sound demo's easily beat the miniogue. It fills the gap between the Korg range and the DSI range, very interesting!
Would be nice to hear a bit of it with out the sea of digi verb and delay
I need this.
Alba Ecstasy dude u will make some nice patches after a while!
`we gonna need a preset for the bcr2000 when it comes out, preferably with a overlay ;)
1:30- holy D-50!
Soundtrack :-)
Yeah it's like soundtrack but in HD
Behringer might have a classic on their hands, a 12 note polyphonic Analog Synth for under £1k that has to be worth looking at?
soundwise nothing new , but it's price and polyphony are certanly a big game changer
Can you modify two or three envelopes at once ?? ie. AMP+VCF... Pressing two buttons at the same time...
What's with the Leap Motion sensor in the shot? For d-beam ackshun?
wow!
1:13 just WOW!
3:53 love it.
Wicked organ
Mine is FINALLY EN ROUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please, please release a module!
Agreed. I have enough keyboards, and not enough space. Although, the joy of synths like this is actually playing them, tbh.
I think they saw this comment there is one now
They have!!
Your wish is their command
The synth is nice to improvise but to play songs its not fast enough to change from A12 to F56 for example. Is there another way then using the bankup/down and +/- knobs to change patches?? Could a midi pedal do the job?
Wow! This sounds great! Time to sell my Juno 106!!!
oh please do this. all of you 106 owners should.
Techno Dad how much would you sell it for?
Did you record this with Behringer equipment? :)
Bank B for Ben Crosland?
Does this synth have a save button? Thanks.
Ready to really jam when we get to 3:56+
What's the leap motion for?
Any future updates for this?
Is the Deepmind 12 able to get midi from my computer through USB? Also is it possible to use the Deepmind as a midi controller? I do not have a soundcard with a midi output, and I am a guitarplayer, so my keyboard skills are limited.
DJ Pete With da beat I've read a couple of articles that mention full midi/USB functionality so yes, it should send and receive over USB.
That blue dolphin at 1:32 though
I was recently banned from a forum thread for mentioning his name.
I gess he is against a comeback.
JEXUS must return!!!
Fucking glorious.
Ok, when it will be available?
Maybe it'll be worth of collecting money for :)
Not bad sounding at all! But interesting how the analog character gets somehow lost under the massive digital FX. Is there a way to bypass or listen to demos without FX?
Are these things any good?
Other bank presets please!
. I predict that the presets will be in a lot of pop songs. I predict that pop songs will soon be presets....
Please make a rack Version :-)
Where’d he get a Breath Controller?
Are these the factory presets?
This reminds me a little of the Korg KARMA. A little richer sounding,
