Maybank is very convenient to open a bank account for a foreigner. Their branches are easier available and they are not restrictive as other bank in terms of documents IMO. You can use your card the same day you visited a branch.
I went to Smile dental years ago. It was $60 for filling, and 1 month guarantee. Thankfully it was shaky within the month and they fixed it well. It was before the trip back to America. Dental can be pricey in SG.

Yes, it’s the kind of things you will consider overlook if you are on a tight budget… So better be prepared and take care of your teeth!
