Hi David, hope you and Sylvia are having a great holiday season! Love the review and always nice making a cameo appeance in a youtube video lol. Very fair representation of the boat, and watching through, just a couple of notes/clarifications. The max solar from the factory is a total of 9 (400W) glass panels, so 3,600 Watt. We are going with 3,200W because we've deleted the one closest to the helm and have an upper lounge area which is an awesom addition to have. The other tidbit is the max battery capacity from the factory is 29kWh at 48V of lithium, this is an important distinction as to what voltage the boat is wired to. Hope you both have a healthy and happy New Years and I wish you the best in 2024! Let us know if you will be in Miami this year as well for the boat show, we are sailing the first couple weeks of Feburary but plan on being their for the weekend on our way home. Cheers!
Hey Kirk! Great to hear from you and thanks for the qualifications. I’ll update the main spread sheet. I doubt I’ll be in Miami this year. There is a slim chance for LGM in April. If you guys are ever up here in God’s country, give us a call!! D
Hey Greg. Oohhhh yaaa. You know me, I’m all about the comfort. But even I fell in love with the ORC 50 and 57. They are just so extreme and purposeful. You should try sitting in those helm chairs with a grip on that carbon tiller. If your not grinning from ear to ear your probably dead. Lol!!
Hey Capitalist. Thanks for watching. Yes, that whole headsail thing is a bit of a conundrum when it comes to KSP and the other ratios. I used to just use whatever was standard on the base boat, but I now try to find a common denominator that I can get numbers for and use that. It allows for a more fair comp within the 4 but does not help if you are comparing across sets. D
@@navalgazingatcampdavid Not only the areas of the sails differ, but the masses of the Neel 52. In one comparison it's a rocket in the other a barn on the water)
Why on earth would you not be comparing the HH50 or HH52 to this boat? Or the Kinetic 54? Or the Cure 55? To include the trimarans seems a very odd choice indeed!
Hi Greg. I totally understand. I believe that the concept of the foldout swim platform and closing sugar scoop can be executed with a mor traditional look.

Het Dream. Many thanks and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!!
Dave, I just watched the ORC Calamity recap of the ARC, what a machine! Dang!

Look at your Neel upwind sail area. I know it should always be 100% forward triangle. But some companies use the genoa and some the Self tacker.

Hi Shelly. Often my choices are limited to boats I have physically toured. Thanks for watching.
have you already worked your way through a crate of south african wine when you attempted to pronounce those names?
lol! No. It’s just pure lack of linguistical talent!
HH44 looks cut off stub to my eye.

Great comparison, but you need to learn how to take videos. you move so fast I become sea sick just watching your video
Hi S Lee. So sorry about that! I'll work on slowing things down and steadying the image. Thanks for the heads up! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
