I've quite went away from Sum 41 since Underclass Hero because I was a Dave weaboo but with years passing and coming back to the band from time to time I realized this band wouldn't have been the same without this playing of yours... Always hitting that drum kit right there where you needed to be to make the rest of the band shine with some extra fun on top. Thanks a lot Stevo. For all those fills / feels. This weekend I'm gonna put some Sum 41 to play for my three year old !
I love you Stevo you are an inspiration to all drummers. Would you ever do a video walking us through your kits? Showing us what drum heads, cymbals etc you use. Would really help us drummers understand your tones 👍. All the best from Scotland 🏴
43 years old! I bought ALL KILLER NO FILLER and listened it non stop day after day...it was a fresh air after been hearing Green Day and Blink for many years....good,good memories! Thanks from Spain!
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums. This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
I don't even know how this video got recommended to me. But "Does This Look Infected?" is still one of my all-time favourite albums, and I still have a t-shirt from when you guys did the UK tour for the album--was there in Nottingham, UK. It was, also, one of the first concerts I ever went to, I was also going through a pretty dark time. It also right at the point where I decided to turn to music as an outlet. I'm just not exaggerating when I'll say this song means a lot to me, and music--your guy's music saved my life. Big love, and good vibes.
I was 7 years old when I discovered Sum 41. I started playing the drums thanks to you. I learned English to understand what the band was about because I had no clue what the lyrics meant. I've only listener to DTLI? and Chuck because those were the only CD of Sum 41 I had. You changed my life and many others man. Thanks for everything you inspired me to do
so glad you started this UA-cam channel. its refreshing to see you with that same sparkle in your eye as back in the day and to learn that you quit the band for very noble reasons. you've aged beautifully my friend! just a thought but it would be awesome to hear you drum to a version of the song with the drums stripped out so we can just heard what you're doing. I know it would be more work for your crew but I think it would add to that portion of the video. either way, its fascinating to see you kill it so hard playing to songs you haven't heard in over a decade. a true talent and shining soul. you often stole the show with your sense of humor and impeccable badassery on the drums. best wishes to you and your family! oh yeah, I think there's millions of people (including myself) who would cherish that drum head if it came into their possession.
I remember watching the Fuse TV series called "Loaded" back in the day. It was just 30 minute blocks of music videos by one particular artist. When this video came up during the Sum 41 episode - my brother, mom, and I were absolutely transfixed by it. Truly a testament to simplicity sometimes being better than flashy garbage.
I remember when you guys hosted an episode of Rage in Australia back in 2004, they played a lot of sick songs and surprisingly a lot of metal, thanks to that episode I'll always thank Sum 41 for being my gateway band into heavy metal, had no internet back then and we recorded the entire episode on VHS, my older brother and I watched the shit out of it, was a joy being able to see all your music videos at the time. The Hell Song is easily one of my favourites and this channel totally rules. Keep up the amazing videos you beautiful legend!
Since the hawk tuah memes started I've had this song playing in my head daily. Man, I had Does This Look Infected playing on loop for years when I was younger.
Hi from France ! This is the first song I've heard of SUM41 I was 11 back then and still my favourite song. Does this look infected is my favorite album and definitely in my top ten. 2 days ago i've been to my first SUM 41 show that bring me back to my teenage years. I Know you're not in the band anymore but thank you for all your work on SUM 41. Continue your videos they're great !
I've been a fan of yours since 2001, but I hadn't ever noticed the dynamics of your playing until you started doing this. That cymbal choke at 10:26 was great. And then you only did it once, which I also appreciate.
I always thought Zummo tend to overplay Sum 41 drums parts, Stevo is tight and his playing really serve the musicality of the songs (I really appreciate the drums on Chuck and Screaming Bloody Murder)
You guys were my first ever gig when I was in Primary 6 over here in the UK for the All Killer tour. Sum 41 is the main reason I'm into Rock and Metal still today
I wore out 2 copies of this CD back in the day! Soundtrack to the end of high school and beginning of college for me. Love everything about these videos - the history, the memories, but most of all, seeing your work on drums get the proper attention. HOLY COW those fills!! Especially during the guitar solo and onward. Blown away! Phenomenal mixing on this videos btw!
You're one HELL of a likable dude Steveo, you were always my favorite in the old school sum41 vids, also hot damn - your drumming is still good as ever, that shit sounded dope bro.
So happy to hear you talk about hell song. It was one of my favorites and its the reason i found out about sum41 through the naruto amv using the same song

The opening riff on this song still gives me a shiver up my spine to this day. Its a real blast to watch your videos (and derycks stories on hos channel too) please keep making them!
My all time favourite Sum 41 song from my favourite (okay, well it's tied with Chuck ha) Sum 41 album. I'm so glad you decided to play through and react to this one! Also, glad to hear your friend who inspired the song's lyrics is doing well. Good stuff as usual Steve!
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I am also a drummer, and I always love playing this song! I was 14 when this album came out, and this was the first music CD I ever bought.
Also this album is what got me into playing fast paced drums!!! I’m 26 now and it still hits the same! Thanks for keeping this stuff alive and taking us back down memory lane with you!! I’d love that drumhead I’ll frame it!!
So rad to see you connecting with the music in a nostalgic way. I can really feel your enthusiasm and passion igniting as you look back and revisit these tunes.
Dude thank you. Every video is so uplifting and impossible not to feel your free spirited fun. Its cliche but thank you, feels good to laugh and just forget about crap
How cool is it to see these videos and listen to Stevo's comments! Sum 41 lost a lot after you left, bro! I was waiting for your return and I waited! It would be great to hear your comments about the clips where you were the director - Underclass Hero, With Me

12:28 raffle raffle
I love you Stevo you are an inspiration to all drummers. Would you ever do a video walking us through your kits? Showing us what drum heads, cymbals etc you use. Would really help us drummers understand your tones 👍. All the best from Scotland 🏴
That little cymbal mute at 10:26 is slick as hell
43 years old! I bought ALL KILLER NO FILLER and listened it non stop day after day...it was a fresh air after been hearing Green Day and Blink for many years....good,good memories! Thanks from Spain!
please make a contest to giveaway that patch, man you´re the best drummer ever on sum41, you´ve been a great influence on my drums, respect buddy!
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums.
This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
hey man - that's cool of you to say! Thanks !
@@stevo32drums omg omgomg!!!!!
Thanks for everything you inspired me to do
Hawk Tuah from Sweden! Watched The Running Man for the first time today because of your video 💦
so glad you started this UA-cam channel. its refreshing to see you with that same sparkle in your eye as back in the day and to learn that you quit the band for very noble reasons. you've aged beautifully my friend! just a thought but it would be awesome to hear you drum to a version of the song with the drums stripped out so we can just heard what you're doing.
Does This Look Infected is also my favorite Sum 41 album and is the reason I started playing guitar when I was twelve. Thank you for everything!
That's cool! Thanks for watching!
The Hell Song is one of my favorite Sum 41 songs. Does This Look Infected?, is a classic Melodic Punk album. You did awesome as always, Steve!
thank you!
can feel the joy stevo has playing drums again!
Why did it take me so long to discover your channel! Massive Sum41 fan. Much love
My favorite Sum 41 song! I have nostalgic for this song, it came out towards the end of my senior year of high school! Brings back memories!!
I NEED that snare head! Do the giveaway my man! I’d shadow box that in my studio for sure!
Give me chills every time I see you play, we missed you so much man ! You look so happy that's awesome ! Fan since 2004 when I was 13 🫶
That's awesome! Thank you!
@@stevo32drums thanks to you Steve keep it up ❤️❤️
I've been a fan of yours since 2001, but I hadn't ever noticed the dynamics of your playing until you started doing this.
Thanks for saying so! Yeah you don't want to OVER DO the choke, but I used to do that live and it just came out
@@stevo32drums yeah, I noticed you didn't do it on the record. It's smooth.
Hoping we get a video about “still waiting” soon just to see your thoughts about the bit at the beginning with the record label executive, still cracks me up every time I see it!
Thank you for this Stevo! I missed you when i finally saw Sum 41 for the first time live in Stockholm for like 6 years ago.
Cheers from Sweden.
That smile when you’re playing man…it’s enough to make someone well up. Bravo
Dude!.. That snarehead whould sure be nice! When i first heard still waiting(i was young) i knew i wanted to be a rock/metal drummer. Have had 3 europe tours 2 albums in the states etc. Thanks for showing me the way 🤘
seeing the genuine happiness on your face whilst watching the old Sum videos is so wholesome 🥰 still rocking on the kit as well, keep these videos coming🤘🏼❤️
I’m so glad I found your channel
We share the same favorite sum 41 album! Let's go! One of the first Ive bought with me money. Still listen to it
The opening riff on this song still gives me a shiver up my spine to this day. I gotta say, it blows my mind how you can just jump back into these songs having not played them for ten years or even more in some cases, and you still fuckign rip it!
I’d love that drumhead I’ll frame it!!
great song, my favorite childhood album and still is to this day, i think, glad to see your back in action💪
It would be great to hear your comments about the clips where you were the director - Underclass Hero, With Me
My favourite record too! I remember my dad buying it for me when I was 11. Still listen to songs from it everyday!
