Burning Skies is a Warhammer 40K music composed and produced by Legio Symphonica for the prologue of Siege of Imperium, a Warhammer 40K animated film created by Skylord. Siege of Imperium will be a full one hour long movie, go support Skylord for his awesome work, he deserve it! The ships in the image are sideways. They must always face their weapons towards the enemy, The other day, I heard they are "upside down." Can you believe that? Like the top is better facing the enemy than the bottom? No. A ship must always twist to show its side, and thus its holy armamnets, to the enemy.
Never must a competent captain show top or bottom to the enemy. For they are cowards who will always fight unfair and unholy.

This is why i want a soundtrack for tyranids, especially if you can make it "alien". I know this isn't for nids, but it have the vibe of a "bad omen" from a powerful threat.
Not quite everything that i was looking for, with this kind of vibe, but this one did hit some high notes, of the idea that "something powerful is coming, that's not evil per se, but you are impotent/powerless against it".
I really want a soundtrack of hopelessness and impotence against a merciless, cold and apathetic power. I think nids are perfect for something like that. With a alien theme, of course.

A lot of people are asking me this, I don't have plan to compose on the 9th legion so far, I guess this one will take me more time to find a good idea.

A fantastic composition as always, the heavy impacts and vocals are absolutely fantastic and I've been waiting for that one since the instagram teaser, otherwise then that all the rest is perfectly thematic for the prologue, and sits so well into it

It is because we all walk in His immortal shadow. Be He real or not, the ideal is real, the aspiration is real. And that is enough.

Oh I know that one of the pic in the video shows tyranids but it's a screenshot of the trailer, not the prologue (in deed it can be confusing, my bad for that). If you haven't watched the prologue (the link is in the description and at the end of the video) I strongly recommend to do so, because it's a great animation. There are no tyranids in the prologue, but there are orks. I agree with you on the idea of a tyranid music, I'll definitly go more for an "alien" vibe, I have a lot of ideas on some "swarming" sounds for a tyranid theme and I really want to do something completly otherwordly but still freaking scary and menacing.
@@LegioSymphonica Yes, i watched it. The way the music was building up, I was expecting the orks to be an distraction and the nids to be the main threat xD
Without wanting to add more, you really have a great talent to find the atmosphere that sticks with 40k. I can't wait to see and hear the result.

Woah that's a hard one :d It's like asking a father to chose who is his favorite children. I would say that Those Who Wander is maybe the piece in which I have put a lot of my soul in it, I composed it while going through a hard time. Sadly it's maybe the least listened track of my channel ahah

Wow how fascinating and ironic I’ve been creating a fan made story series for 40K I one day hope can be made cannon. certain scenes are inspired by your music this was one too but before now I never saw this artwork, I only heard it yet the image of the astartes was very similar how I scripted it !!!!

Alot of large orchestral or obv choir music for 40k
Ive always wanted to see subversion and someone make a lullaby for a feared chapter/faction or boogieman.
But goddamn I love your music. Oneday Ill make or get the help needed to compose something half of this quality.
I agree with you, for now there is a lot of orchestral / hybrid stuff, but I have so many ideas to use different style in the W40K universe. I have plans to do pure classical music for something like the Maraviglia, heavy 80's electro about Necromunda, Doom like music for some SM chapters, ambient music on dozens of differents worlds, hell I'd even love to compose a mix of jazz noir / dark gregorian choirs about an inquisitor investigating on a dark cult, Lovecraft style. Too many ideas. Again it's only the beginning, the legion is young and isn't one year old yet ^^
@@LegioSymphonica Im fuckin HERE for this. Ive been attempting recently a Lovecraftian lullaby, with Doom '18 metal hits. based on a Voyage of my chapter into the warp.
