40k is enjoyable and relatable because it’s dark and at times hopeless and seemingly futile. Same as reality. It is full of pinpricks of light and hope. It is full of villains heroes and people in between just like life
I sometimes like to listen the TTS ending theme right after this, they're tonally different but I think they sum-up the WH40K universe really well, one reflecting the grim dark state of the galaxy while the other is about the epic battles driven by faith and hope.
I thought the quality of the audio was bad when listening for the first time as I was hearing crackling at the climax of the chanting, then I went for a re listen with my studio headphones on and oh my emperor! Its amazing! Turns out my speakers I listened through my first time round just didn't cut it
Thank you for the feedback! I try to have my songs translate to different devices as best I can. At the end of the day, proper headphones (or a very good system of studio speakers) are the way to go to get the most out of it. What you heard crackling might have been the low end bass that I used a muffled organ for to give the climax more weight. If the audio device doesn't manage that, it can overdrive and thus, crackle. TLDR, I'm glad you use proper gear and can enjoy it fully now ;)

after a while i realized. Came here for some fitting music while playing warhammer 2, now I’m considering learning more about gregorian culture, as this is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. It’s so dark and hopeless, yet there is this inspirational aspect to it at the same time... simply perfection!

There I see Martyrs, bathed in His Light.

Warhammer 40k has ironically helped me connect with my faith more than anything else has.
It is quite ironic, when faith is one of many terrible things in the Imperium and 40k quite critique religions.
@Stiu I know about this and it is one of many reasons why I like 40k. Imperium do many terrible things, but lore explains how they got to situation appropriate to such harsh actions and why they do it. Truth is that in relatively often these actions were the most logical way,no matter how immoral these actions are.
Yay!! And I say it again (because clearly it worked last time), imagine not subscribing to this guy.
As a Christian, I found this series through its music. It holds a strange place in my heart because I recognize that there is this secular story that has been built up on the skeleton of a largly spiritual, Christian specific background. So I pray that somehow folks will maybe find some old hymns through this music and come to learn about a REAL savior of mankind and learn to take up arms against REAL demonic forces. God be with ye brothers. Jesus is the way.
