- Israeli journalist Gideon Levy, in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Tuesday, describes Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza as "a bloodbath, and you cannot ignore it." Levy continues to explain why he believes the goals declared by Israel are "partly unachievable" and asserts that Israel has crossed the limits of the war "a long time ago."
Levy states that Israelis “are the only people in the world right now who are not exposed at all to what’s going on in Gaza.” He continues by comparing Israel to Russia during the war on Ukraine, saying, “We were always laughing at the Russian TV covering the war in Ukraine. Ours is much worse because here it is voluntary.”

War? What war? Its occupation and murder...
So are you imagining that Hamas has not been aiming missiles, daily, at Israel? Didn't the Israeli government give civilians warning to evacuate the north (they didn't start firing on Gaza until 27th)? Wasn't it Hamas that told civilians not to leave?
That's not murder, that's war. Shouldn't start one if you're not prepared for the consequences. Which, of course, Hamas was. They never cared about the children. They thought they were alright hiding in their rat runs and in Qatar, Egypt etc. We hold Israel to a higher standard and expect them to behave better but I think there is a limit to even that expectation. And why should we hold them to a higher standard anyway?
