The Mandalorian is one of the better productions that came out of Disney's caves but its yet close to actually good. I dont understand the Hype of everything nowadays when the product is clearly in a weak state.

The dark troopers of the Classic Battlefront 2 were in fact the "Phase 0" of the Dark Trooper Project, a prototype made to prove the concept to be practical. They were basically Clone Troopers turned into cyborgs, a cheap way to fight against their accelerating aging process. The result was a significantly more effective trooper, but also a more instable one. The augumentations caused the majority of them to commit suicide in the years following the proceedings. *_Of, course, this was the Empire, so the side effects were ignored, and Rom Mohc received the funding he needed to start the real Dark Trooper project_* .
Technically, those weren't phase 3 dark troopers then. They were supposed to have some resistance to light sabers. At least it should have taken Luke two strikes to a spot to Peirce their armour based on their Canon abilities.
I play Empire at War Forces of Corruption and called them Terminator as well because they have higher health, they are capable of destroying both vehicles (using missiles) and infantry (laser cannon) through long range and they can also shoot air speeders. In my experience, Phase III are useful against overpowered Zann Consortium's Canderous tanks and MAL company missile artillery.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to at least one legends source, Dark Troopers are made out of Republic Clones whom have gotten too old. The Empire uses the Dark Trooper program as a means of retaining the high level of skill and experience these Clones have after there double aging bodies give way.

I was thinking the exact same thing ! Sure what the Empire did to the soldiers was inhumane, but still, what a waste. Besides, it's not like the Rebels would be forcing anyone to go throught the proccess. Only those who really wanted to would go throught it.

I was just playing the game on pc for the first time a couple of days ago using the 60 fps patch.Smoothness made the game even more enjoyable but the enemies are way more aggressive to the point where you get stunlocked by lasers blasts and melee attacks from every damn direction, it basically turns the game into a semi dark souls.

Well he had a light saber and bullets dont travel "faster" so they were like stormtrooper but you can kill them without disney strangling you.

The Mandalorian is giving us so much juicy Lore and great stuff
Yet they are treated as cannon fodder in Mandalorian and act as semi dumb robots.
One thing to note about the Legends Lore for the Dark Troopers; following the end of the Clone Wars, previously-retired clones due to accelerated aging or sustained injuries were drafted back into service under the 501st, and outfitted with cybernetics and advacned weapons & equipment like the Arc Caster. These clones became known as a "Phase Zero" Dark Trooper.

Having first delved into the Star Wars Expanded Universe via Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight and the surrounding novels and games throughout the entire Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series... I don't even need to watch this before I click like.

Now that they have (probably) been introduce in the Mandalorian, I think their armor will be made out of Beskar, making them almost indestructible.
