With my ender 3 v2 I always use the glass side. I generally have to wait for the bed temp to go back to room temp and it seems to peel off a bit itself. But mostly I was using PLA. PETG may act differently.

I have two of the ender 3D Max neos. Pla you wait until the bed cools down. Petg you need to take it off immediately. Or you can wait until it cools down and then reheat the bed. Once the bed is back up to 80c try taking it off. This is what works for me but it might not work for you because I'm making a certain type of thing that most people aren't.

I think the Max refers too the size and Neo refers too the upgrades

Seeing this Ender 3 Max Neo with all the much needed upgrades is great. Been using a heavily modified Ender 3 and Ender 3 s1, I must say I'm quite impressed with the Max Neo Video here hoocho! After seeing this video, I'm seriously recommending the Max Neo to those that want to give FDM 3D Printing a try. For the price and features, it's quite solid. I've probably spent more money on modding my Ender 3 to be much like the Max Neo. Would love to see you cover more. I'm particularly interested in recycling PET/PETG to use for future hydroponics!

@@seadragon8546 All the printers with bondtech gears that I have worked with always seem to produce ringing. Haven't quite resolved that but have greatly reduced it through tuning print settings, belt tension, part accuracy/trueness. Banding happened to me when the filament wasn't dried prior to printing. I swapped the extruder housing to an all aluminum one, replaced the PTFE tubes with Capricorn PTFE tubes, and used a glass bed w/ upgraded springs. Much needed improvements for the kind of prints I am working with

Ha, if your benchy sticks to your plate, that's a very sticky plate.
I've been so tempted to get a flexible steel plate, but the levelling and depth setting on my printer is so obtuse and brutal to deal with. I've got a glass plate with a sticker layer to help with adhesion and release, which... Kind of works. The glass holds heat beautifully, but I almost always print PLA so I'm not even sure that's a feature I need to depend on that much.
I recently printed the flood and drain system, by the way. It went beautifully. A little gnarly on the threads, but nothing a little coaxing couldn't fix. Very excited to get it running. It got me fired up about printing gaskets, but man alive, I can't get flexible filaments to print. My extruders always eat it. No tensioning, temperature changes, or even new nozzles could save it. FML I guess. One day I'll figure it out. But how cool, right? You could even embed the gaskets onto the print for printers with more than one nozzle. That would be incredibly slick.
Always get a kick out of the slide intro. Keep up the good work!

@@OganySupreme Finally got time to get mine up and running and after spending a little time making sure it was leveled out and accurately setting the z-axis offset, I printed the rabbit as the test run and it was near perfect!
Can't wait to get stuck in with this printer. Thx @hoocho for the recommendation!

I think you have me sold using 3D printers. What filament/s do you recommend? I'm thinking of the Ender-3 V2 Neo 3D printer. Is this the same as the Max here? I couldn't find the Max on Amazon. This week is a good time to buy 😊

Just a tip: you shouldn't use PETG on a glass surface as it can literally fuse to the glass, taking pieces of the bed off with it when removing. I'd recommend a magnetic sheet and PEI flex plate!
