It will solve problem with helmets looking elongated and maybe even printing issue. Sure it may be inaccurate, but I think it won't stand out too much, because lego can't mirror every detail of character on minifigure anyway and will make degree of detailing more consistent among different mf. And it worked for p1, though they don't have such prominent "earpads" no one complained about helmet holes.
I've already bought and assembled 8 copies of the new 2024 battle pack. Found one clone trooper misprint too. Sold the fig for enough money to buy two more battle packs
What a cool comparison, Ryan. These super battlepacks seem to be the way to go with rising inflation. I can’t wait to see where the return of B2’s take us in the future for prequel sets.
I definitely prefer price/weight vs. price/piece since many newer sets use more smaller pieces for detail while a lot of older sets used larger pieces but less pieces overall.
Most of the cost comes from the actual labour and listening, for example a 20 dollar set costs less than a dollar for the plastic. While they should make the sets bigger, using bigger pieces actually doesn’t change the price too much
The old battle pack got me into Lego and the original clone turbo tank! I remember my god father got me two original clone battle packs when I was 8 or 9.
That battle droid set was my very first battle pack, and I've always wanted the clone one, but never got it. Since the new battle pack is basically both of those combined, it's going to make my younger self really happy (Plus my old super battle droids either have weak or broken joints).
I wish the set was split up so than I could buy more b1 battle droids. In SW the ratio of b1 droids to a clone is 20(up to 50):1 per singular clone in the battlefield. Would love a way to raise that number. Right now the ratio of clone to b1 droid is 4:2 generally speaking. My 120 clones to 60 b1 droids is pretty sad looking when that droid count should be significantly higher. Obviously it would be tough to match the 20 b1 droids per clone. But at least make it reasonable to obtain if someone wants to amass a large b1 droid army. I should be able to place down 20 clones and have them up against 400 droids, that would the correct ratio. But even as a 10x per clone ratio still be pleasing to be able to have 200 b1 droids up against 20 clones. If LEGO is focused on the details, they should know that the ratio of droids to clones should at least be double what’s put in sets now. 4 clones, 8 b1 droids. What do you guy think of the lack of b1 droids being outmatched by the clones?
