@@blink182lives100 that's true to an extent, it seems they've consistently had pretty high value pitching prospects for the last decade or so. Pitching prospects are usually just such a crap shoot, you don't know for sure until they're in the bigs getting outs consistently.
I commented on a teaching video where the original poster swore up and down that a REAL curveball had 12-6 movement ONLY. And he called himself a pitching coach. Also, he did not know who Sandy Koufax is.
Nice topic. I'll give you a pass for accuracy on all of your assertions. In truth, I don't care. I just love watching these boys do something 10x better than I ever dreamed I could do. No jealousy there either.
The tigers seemingly have a large stock of strong, young arms. 5 years from now things could be very different in Detroit.
But they probably wont
Is it just me or were people saying that like 5 years ago? Im surprised they are still as bad as they are

Great work mate. Big fan of these types of video essays
This channel is about to blow up
Great vid. It might be difficult to research, but a video on best curveball pitchers of all time would be cool.
Great video
Great picks!
I don't know the advanced statisitcs, but I would add Miles Mikolas just based on the eye test alone.
just went and checked and Miles' curve had a 3.0 run value in 2022, so pretty good although not elite, his curve was elite in 18 and 19 tho
Into this 👍 Great deep dive
Never saw him pitch but I hear Dwight gooden had a lord Charles
Shane Biebers Knuckle curve is pretty insane as well

Ole crafty Wainwright is in the top 5... no surprise there 😮.... his ability to repeat his delivery is outstanding
Nice topic.

“In truth, I don’t care” Then why mention it at all? 😂
If you make a mistake with a curveball, you can really get hurt. I used to catch a guy who had a "drop" ball. When it was working, it was unhittable.
Some of those Mcclanahan curves almost look like sliders
Video was great until 9:01
