"He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist." St. Francis of Assisi.
And how!
Fantastic work. By the way, the name of the company is "Canada West Boots", the name of this boot is the "W.M. Moorby", name after the founder of the company.
steve from bedos, i mean what a character, i could listen for hours, therapeutical voice and narrative
The master does it again!!! The owner of those boots is going to love those boots!!! I think they’re one of the best sole jobs you’ve done so far. The skill level required to turn a mediocre boot into a super high quality tank of a boot is remarkable. Gorgeous!!! If I was the owner of those boots I would stare at them and look them over for hours. 😉. Keep continuing buddy! Remarkable!!!
The welt looks 💯x better all the way around.
@@spagzs i always have loved a 360 welt
Mario, I don’t think I’ve seen these on Instagram, but I haven’t been following you that long. Do you wear them? Would you recommend Canada West to another fellow Canuck?
@@MrMikebarrie yes those aren’t my wearing boots. I keep those in my collection for not wearing. But they are awesome boots well made. Keep in mind they run usually EE or EEE so go half size down from your common boots
I've often thought to myself "how does he not stab the BLEEP out of himself?" Today I learned the answer. Thanks for showing us that you ARE mortal after all. Nice conversion, Steve.
By the way, I just received my first pair of pre-1970 Imperials. Thanks for introducing me to those.
Usually anything you say after, "Hey Man!..." tends to crack me up...
Me too
The voice! 😂
... always ends with "I'm outta here!", too.
Like Bill Cosby records 1960's.
Here I go again! THESE are the most beautiful boots...EVER! LOL! And this retired union ironworker seen a lot of boot. Of course they were workin boots and I was a Red Wing, Irish Setter kind of guy. Keep em coming Steve.
Not sure how I found your site....lol. I'm not into name brand purses or leather items . Basically can't afford it...lol. I am fascinated in what you do. You work miracles on these items. I'm sure this is a lost craft. You put so much work and care into your work. Really enjoyed your video and have watched several. I am a new fan. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
I always grin when I hear your falsetto mimicking. Resoling those new boots made them look really high-end and elegant. Congrats, Bedo.
I don't understand it but I feel relaxed when watching such videos
If you are down just come and see this master at work. It is great therapy to see a transformation of this nature.
Another expert job by the American artisan that is the Steveroo...! Boots looks awesome... You didn't mention how much this cost unless I missed it.... Beautiful job once again...GG...IN
If you see me at 3 or 4 in the morning, you’ll see me with a CPAP machine stuck to my face because of sleep apnea. I think Steve does pretty good for that early. Never a dull moment around the shop. Steve, when are we going to be blessed with another episode of Steve and Chris with coffee? I really enjoy those little get togethers .
Chris just got back from a break, so we’ll sit down again soon
Thank you so much for this video. I never truly understood Goodyear stitches/welting until this video.
My friend you are in a class by yourself. I never get tired of these videos. Thanks for all your hard work, it’s appreciated!
OLD LEATHER SMITH here. Excellent Job as always Steve. I personally usually murder myself at least once a week. Please don't feel like you R the ONLY 1. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃 LEATHER BROTHER
Continue from below- the foot rest needed repair so Having learned from the master I pulled out the contact cement glued it up and minutes later it was hammer time. Your tutoring saved the chair. Sam C, Colorado
Love those boots! And your work ethic!
Lunesta is great for sleep. Seriously. No morning sleep hangover. Sleep is important!!! You don’t need to take it every night but it’s great to have on hand.
It turns your brain off so you can sleep!
To get it you may have to get past them offering histamine receptor based sleeping meds. Trazodone and etc. Those cause drowsiness the next day. Like, sleep hangover. If you haven’t had your doctor all your adult life, you can just go in and say you’ve already tried x y and z and didn’t like it. What else is there or I had lunesta back whenever and it was helpful so I wanna go back on that.”
And don’t do Ambien. It’s fine if you take it and go right to bed. But if you’re up brushing your teeth and it kicks in, you might not get into bed. So you have to get ready, get in bed, THEN take it.
Hi Steve 🙋🏽. Be careful ‼️ the boots didn't look half bad. But I already know that they're going to look even better when you're done ✅. Enjoy the rest of your day ‼️🙋🏽👍🏽. very nice 👍🏽
oh god 3:34AM, lately that's my bedtime 🤣🤣🤣
Am going through some internal shit. Thank you for these videos that pry my sad eye.
Hope you feel better
That may well be the best looking heal I've seen you build on a boot today. Nice!
I know, Steve I’m the same way . If I have things to get done then I don’t sleep until they are.
Insane craftsmanship. I couldn't bear to wear those shoes. I'd have to just put them on display.
These new boots have received a newer “edition “great job.Let’s continue 👍👍
The Master! (3am/4am!!) "Hey Man!. Working on damn shoes"!? Thats dedication El Stevo!!. I'd personally be out enjoying myself in that Cobra and annoying the neighbours with that V8 rumble!! ha ha! x
At 4 am it’s 36 degrees, I’d freeze my as off
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC ha ha!
Steve is killing the boot game. Awesome to see Steve be so busy.
Steve, you made them into solid boots! Awesome work as always!
Holy Moly, they look100 times better than from factory, and they looked already great before! 😁👌
What a Piece of Art! 🤩👍
AWE MAN! You certainly took that Project to a whole different level ;-) A beautiful job that any man would love to get his feet into!...Looks like they will last a lifetime.. ,Well Done you!!
Damn Steve! Your hands shake as bad as my father's did when he was alive. I believe he had a pinched nerve in his shoulder, however he mentioned he found urinating to be a pleasurable experience. :) Nice job by the way.
What Steve does in the mens room shall remain private. TMI!! Lol
Inversion table is a Godsend. Highly effective chiropractor on call in your own home is the equivalent. Nerve issues get sorted out quickly. I recommend Teeter brand.
😂😂😂 🎩
WTF dude :-)
the finished product of the boot looks so much better than the original. Excellant job as usual.
Bebob Ross is back at it with those soles! Beatifull job!
And i am dead this early... even vhen working nightshift:-D
You in your Happy Place with quiet moments creating beautiful sounds and carefully touches of paint here and there have slowly become my Bob Ross of shoes, always turning out a masterpiece, such a talent Steve 👍
BEAUTIFUL job, Steve! And thanks for a double dose of "Complainer Guy"!
Very nice Steve great colours on the sole and heel
3:30 am...is the witching hour ... LOL!!
Beautiful work as always! I really enjoy watching you work, it's just calming somehow lol.
Thanks for everything you do and keep up the great work!
Hello Steve, Not a comment about this job so I apologize to you and the devoted fans. My wife’s favorite leather recliner had a large split along a seam i
Ok
Those boots look like they easily cost $700. Fantastic touch with the dye job on the soles.
Another excellent job. I do prefer the look of 360 degree welts. It’s a shame your customer wasn’t aware that WM Moorby do a similar boot to this one with a 360 welt. Of course, he’d have still had to ask you to replace the rubber soles though.
This true, but the 360˚ welt Moorby boot has a wider last, doesn't have a cap toe, isn't lined and is beefier looking, with more pronounced stitching. That boot also has a pull at the back of the boot. Cheers
Nice looking boots ... 💫 ... AWESOME LOOKING BOOTS 😍🤩💯‼️
Hi Steve, those started off looking like an ok looking boot and ended up being a great pair of boots. Stunning soles 👍As always... much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
That is one bloody awesome upgrade.
Steve, you are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your hard work with us. It’s incredible to see!
I suppose you've heard that the JR tannery is closing down. It was scheduled to close definitively at the beginning of next year but because they received so many orders after the announcement of their shut down, they have decided to honor those orders & so won't close until the middle of next year.
Hi, Steve! Greetings from a colleague from Ukraine. I always look at your works with pleasure. I hope for continue 😀.
Those look dope! I love a 360 welt conversion. I have some relatively new 1000 mile boots and would love to convert them to a split 360 degree welt. (My wife) Can't justify the spend at this time. :) Another fantastic job, Steve!!
Another meticulous restoration. The boots were nice to begin with, and now they are...works of art. I'm guessing the customer was thrilled with these!
Those were brand new boots. They were not being restored. They got "pimped"
Dear Susan Wojiki…WHY AM I NOT GETTING NOTIFICATIONS?
Also, if you put it on 2x speed and it’s hammer time, it sounds like when Benny Hill slaps that old man on his bald head.
Nice little job Steve ... Thx for posting ...
What a transformation Steve. You should be justifiably proud of your work. Shine on
I was just wondering the same thing, saving and re-using heels on another project.
They make that boot in a 360 welt... but another fantastic job, looks fantastic!!!
Efficient craftsmanship turned up to 11. So impressive!
Amazing result Steve! Haha. At 3:30 in the morning, my cat is waking me up to feed it! Agreed, I’m the same, get up and finish it.
Wow, great leather sacking for the heal.......just AWSOME!!!
NICE BOOTS ,GREAT Job Steve
Excellent work bro go ahead have a nice day God Bless you
Amazing job, 360 welt looks so much better imo!
I’m watching you at 3:30 in the morning! 👍❤️
3:34 in the morning i am sleeping. Good Morning
Nice make over. I love your "special touches". I still think you need to have your own stamp. Just sayin buddy. I love your video, your humor & your work. God continue to bless your gift.
Love your work.
A 360 split welt is very rugged then paired with a fancy leather sole. Pretty wild.
LOL
Better than new as per usual Steve
Morning Sir, much love xxx
Wow nice, you haven’t done your art work on the soles in a while at least I haven’t seen you do it.
Loving the hammer time segments.
I'm still watching but anything you can save is great for the environment
Nice timepiece Steve.
Wow again a perfect job steve
They do look 100x better though. Amazing work as always.
Nice job Steve. I must admit that I noticed the watch change.
Hard to find the right words for such great skill. I have a few pairs of boots, but one pair, a Clarks boot (please don't laff), & the upper is a nice well made deep tan brogue upper in fairly decent leather, but the black cleated soles are crude, & while there is stitching through the welt (I think its plastic), I think the stitching is fake. I could be wrong. I would love to change the sole, but difficult to justify the cost on a mediocre boot. And I ain't asking for charity either... I would love to give it a go myself. Any way, YOU are an amazing inspiration. 👍🍷
Triggered here. You said "these boots" and I expected the next sound to be You and Nancy Sinatra singing "are made for walkin." Cheers
As we say in Mexico, quedaron Padrisimas!
Master Yoda of the leather world.
Look ace those Steve!
Only time I got up at 2am or 3am is to go to the airport to get a plane to the Caribbean or where ever I was going on my hols
Hi man. I had similar shoes. They are very good. The time u come to shop is the time I sleep. Nice job man. It has been long time since I commented on ur videos I had an operation on my hand so was just watching didn't comment
Therapy Time !
Great looking pair of boots! Well done!
Great job as usual. Love the 3 toned soles!
Very nice boots! Great craftsmanship Steve! 👍🏽
Pull off the thread in order to pull off a great job!👌
Solid recraft there Steve. I was wondering what the gig was when you said 360 welt and a leather rand. My first thought was... ok, time to learn sumpin' new from Steve.
At 3:30 in the morning, I'm getting up to use the bathroom again, and I've been drooling, yes, but then I realize I have a cough drop stuck to my face! 😂 Yyes, true story!!!
Whoa what a solid transformation
nice job again steve
Great to wake up to another video of Bedo's, with a light pipe and coffee. Cheers Steve!
You are really craftsman, greetings from Turkey
GREAT VIDEO, TELL EVERYBODY HELLO, SEE YOU NEXT TIME...
Those boots look really good. Very nice job.
That pull was so satisfying
As always Steve great job 👍 Let’s Continue.
what an amazing looking boot, what a lovely job, amazing finish
Great work as always. It would pain me to walk on those beautiful soles.
Good Ole Barney! 4:35
Beautiful !!! Another top-notch job by the best in the bis.
Love the boots. Great work as always Steve!
That was a great video on one of my favourite boots!
