Candlebox Debut Album and It's Greatness

- The band Candlebox came out of the Seattle Washington area when grunge music was exploding, so it was not a surprise when the band came out and delivered such great music, especially on their debut album. Their self-titled album, which came out in 1993, was a huge success. Had great hits on it and put the band on the map. But the reason we talk about this album and this band is because there like many other bands and we're not able to sustain that success for the entirety of their career. They did great things after their debut album but never were able to touch that success again. But still , they created one of the greatest moments in rock history.

Saw them in August of 2023 and it was an amazing show
That's awesome. Definitely would love to see them again. The last time I did was in 2009, It was a great show, but they are definitely a great example of bands that had all the potential in the world , and for whatever reason couldn't continue the success , they had initially brought on for themselves. @calebthemusicjunkie Yeah, you're right that is funny because I was 21 then, wow. So definitely a big age gap, I would just say always remember time definitely flies and got to make the best of every second of every day and just enjoy life, but that doesn't mean still don't do the right thing.
@@RockTalkWithMike Absolutely! Go to as many concerts as possible. I was a teenage metalhead in the 80's and saw big arena shows Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Ratt, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Metallica, etc. then the 90's changed things big time. I was lucky again to see Pearl jam at the Moore Theater show (Even Flow video) but enjoyed catching bands that were on the cusp breaking out...Deftones, Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Agains The Machine...Candlebox a couple times on this tour. Just Do It!
The singer was something special for sure

I absolutely agree, wasn’t really a grunge album but a superior rock album and I love it ❤❤❤

They have several good albums
No, definitely, they have a lot of amazing music. But the point being the mainstream seem to forget about them after their first album , which is the case with a lot of bands. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

It is a great album, but I disagree that it was their only good one. Lucy is an absolutely killer album - Best Friend, Butterfly, Vulagr Before Me, Simple Lesson are all killer tracks!
