Hello again from southern California. Always happy to see a new notification from you. The Seltos looks like a Great vehicle.wii be interesting to see if it comes to the US. Last month a good friend of mine bought a new Kona sel, on my recommendation, with tech package! He loves it. He has liked my Elantra. So wanted to go look at Hyundai, since he has never bought one. MY 17 Elantra just turned 54.000 miles. Has been flawless, 0 problems. Just had the transmission serviced at the dealership. 3 years old, and I still like it very much. Keep up the good work.

I texted my sales guy from Hyundai to cancel my order for Kona (waiting for new shipment) because I saw Seltos on the road. Went to visit Kia agent IMMEDIATELY and test drove this beauty. At almost similar price range, the two cars are beautiful on the outside but the interior, comfort and driving smoothness of the Seltos are miles ahead of Kona's. Damn.
Man i feel bad about Hyundai Salesperson. But Yes this Kia Seltos is a something new.

On the day we agreed to meet for me to buy one, only then he found out and dropped the sudden news that only a brutally test-driven one was available (last stock for Turbo). The lower variants have halogen projector headlight at the place where top trims have turn signals so maybe that’s why top trims have such a big turn signal.

If you ever happen to have a cop near one of those curves you may have to explain, you are the only channel that takes the cars to their "legal" limits so we can see in real time what we may expect when we buy one, well done why do you not have more subs, you deserve more, and why does Kia not hire you for their promotion campaigns?.

In India we have 3 engine options 1.4L turbo gdi with 7 speed dct or manual ,1.5L naturally aspirated with manual or CVT transmission, 1.5L diesel with 6 speed manual or 6 speed torque converter.
Dashboard design is different in India we have single screen dashtop mounted 2 screens one for infotainment system and other one for Speedo tacho and MID , interior theme is different offering with all black with gt line and and black beige with ht line

Really appreciate this channel. Hard to find Korean cars review channel in English. BTW, I'm not so SUV/crossover fan, but this Seltos able to grab my attention. Like Forte, subtle yet stylish. Able to serve my conservative taste but not too dull. Just wonder if the car will debut in my country.

In India Kia began their sale of Seltos in late August but even in top spec model we didn't AWD, heated seats, traction control option . Man it is such a pity, well great review man as I am also a Kia Seltos owner from India

Mike..pretty sure they will, as this is the only model that gets the IRS, just like Kona in that way.
We are sold with indian version here, with no e-brake and no radar system. But it has the alarm reminder for sunroof and mobile phone. The engine is also smaller with 1,4 turbo instead of 1,6 turbo. But there is alternative of crdi engine

Really liked your review. But I am little confused why it is compared with Venue as its smaller than this one. In India, Kia has launched Seltos with three engine options 1.5 Petrol, 1.4 Turbo Petrol and 1.5 Diesel, all are available with Manual as well as automatic transmissions and there are total 16 variants available in Seltos.

Disappointing thing is it doesn't get panaromic sunroof and a electric handbrake which is available in 2020 Creta and also the paddle shifters

Just a small suggestion - while displaying sharp turns (@10:00) there was some noise that kept coming (probably your smartphone or key that kept bumping on either side of the hard plastic where it was kept) which made an initial impression that the noise was coming out of the car 😅, you'd probably want to avoid that 🙂

I have the USA Model (The Kia Seltos SX-T) so fully loaded. I love the car SO much. It is amazing. The only thing that makes me sad is the omission of some features like ventilated seats and the heads-up display from the American market that annoys me, but otherwise, it is a fantastic car.
*Oh, and we also do not get a heated steering wheel.

How this Seltos compares to the Trailblazer in term of ride quality, noise from road, wind or engine, seat comfort...? These two vehicles are so close in term of style and size, it would be very nice to compare them head to head, especially in their more "common" trim...

@@vosk6481 Definitely not the same as the Venue. This is a class above the Venue and that car is suppose to replace a Hyundai Accent. Price out a Kona AWD and you've got a good idea how much this will be. Thi swill compete with VW Tiguan, Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Ford Escape, etc.
My brand new KIA Seltos rear Aircon vent blowing warm air when Aircon temperature control is set at 25 degree celsius, when outside temperature is much higher than 25 degree celsius,and their service work shop claimed that is normal.
During the visit on 26 Apr 2021, inspection was carried out on the vehicle’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning System; the values such as Ambient Temperature Sensor, Evaporator Temperature Sensor, photo sensor, In-car air temperature sensor and other related values that maintain the operation of the climatic air-conditioning system. We did not find any abnormalities in the values and all sensors and actuators are functioning normally and a diagnostic scan with the manufacturer’s diagnostic scanner did not report any diagnostic trouble codes. These data was also inspected and compared to 2 other similar vehicles and the performance was found to be similar and thus the vehicle’s air-conditioning system was judged to be operating normally.

It’s a nice looking car, I think it looks like the Jeep renegade. They should make another mode with a higher ride height and compete against the Subaru Outback.
