I use this video as a reference every time I make kadala curry. And always the curry turns out to be amazingly delicious. Today I also made some puris to go with it. The combination was super 😋

Awesome recipe. Everyone liked it a lot. The smell is divine. Feels like entering a South Indian restaurant. I used dry coconut instead of fresh coconut and it turned out nice.

An old subscriber & fan here...have a doubt... Would it be different if i just blended the material raw first (like one pot cooking) with all the ingredients except chana and then poured it in the pan with oil and let it cook?

Am a Malayali....we usually roast coconut along with coriander seeds .... dry red chilly....and all....grind it and add to kadala......bt actually that gives a yummy yummy taste
And we call it varutharacha kadala curry....

My fav breakfast 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘puttu n kadala. Idiyappam n kadala, vellayapam n kadala.. But u should roast the coconut until it becomes brown in color....

A small tip... Just coarsely grind or pulse 2 tbsp of the boiled Kadala (chickpeas) and add in the curry..it gives a good creamy kind of taste and blends well together.
