I have one to change on mine and saw that other one, screw dat! Thats the same degree of hassle as replacing the front bumper cover on my wife’s car after she clocked a suicide buck at 55 MPH. This way is so much easier than taking off the entire grill all the way to the radiator👌🏻
This is way better than the others on UA-cam where that have you taking about 30 parts out and coming in from the front. Make sure and take the wheel off.
Alternative for Drivers Side - I removed the two clips on the air intake tube (pry up the inter pin and the outer pin pulls out) , removed the air filter and cover by loosing the hose clamp (screw driver or 7mm socket). removed the bolt (1/2") holding the Air filter assembly the pulled up then Air Filter Assembly out o the way. Used my left had to pull the boot and the bulb. Replaced the bulb and reversed process. Was done in 10 min. Easy way to do this...at least for the drivers side (2019 F150 XLT 3.5 TB).
Tell me about your experience trying to change this headlight or find information on how to change this headlight. Do you think Ford makes it easy or complicated?
Yeah, thanks. I said that in the video. I also said it's easier for me to pull off because I have a floor jack and an impact, and I change tires for a living. The average person wouldn't want to do that, I said. Thanks for watching.
I got to take off a whole tire to replace just the bulb good God I do have all the tools but my old cry eas a pop the hood and pop the new one in style ford is not playing with us anymore trying there best to send us to the dealership
Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated. Yeah I didn't either but I change tires for a living and can do it pretty quickly so I figured it helped my neck a little by doing so. Not needed, but if easy to do it may help. Thanks again for commenting. Take care.
Yeah I said in the video that you don't have to take your wheel off. The only reason I took it off is because I have a floor jack and an impact and I change tires all day so to me it's very easy and it gave the viewer a better view of what I was doing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@roadsideguy5902 and how many people have a 5.5 mm driver!? Not me! So either I buy a special nut driver, use a pair of pliers, or pay ford service to do it for me. I wonder which one does ford wants me to choose 🤔
Watching this is helpful but just goes to show how human's have managed to complicate the simplest things. Seems way over the top for Ford to make this such a pain in the ass!
Am I the only one who sees the idiocy in all this, jacking up vehicles, taking off tires wtf is going on here? This is why the big auto guys are failing???
Like I said in the video, you don't have to remove the wheel. I just did that because it's easy for me. I change tires for a living. I have a floor jack and an impact. Took me like 60 seconds to take the wheel off, and it gave me more room. It's not necessary at all, but it's definitely convenient. Thanks for watching.
I like Ford vehicles in general, but this is stupid design. Should be able to access the headlights from the engine bay wothout having to remove anything. I get design trade-offs have to be made sometimes, but its surprising how many vehicles screw up changing lightbulbs
You absolutely do not have to take the wheel off you have absolutely plenty room taking just 3 screws out it’s less than 5 minute job.. this guy may work at ford
I said that. I said you don't have to take the wheel off! I said I'm only doing it because it's easier for me because I'm not fat and lazy and I have a jack and impact and taking a wheel off to me was easier. Now of course I know a person doesn't need to or have to take the wheel off. That's why I said so in the video, but thanks for saying it again in comment format so those who don't listen can read.
Does this not strike anyone as a little extreme to hide a light bulb? Every generation of vehicle they keep making these simple tasks a little more obnoxious. Intentional im sure for the service money. Come on Ford... I live in a -20 environment. Plastics don't survive so well in the freezer. Now i gotta shop thaw my vehicle just to change a light bulb.
Man I wish I came across this the first time. There were no videos. I took my whole front apart grill and all.
I have one to change on mine and saw that other one, screw dat! Thats the same degree of hassle as replacing the front bumper cover on my wife’s car after she clocked a suicide buck at 55 MPH. This way is so much easier than taking off the entire grill all the way to the radiator👌🏻
Thank you Roadside guy. May the blessings of a thousand Kings be yours...wherever you may roam.

Watching this has me missing the simplicity of my 06 Silverado headlights compared to what all I'm about to go through on my 2019 tomorrow
For real! We used to just pull up the pins and out pops the light!
I think it’s purposely made like this to get more 💰 flowing to the stealerships.

Great advice. Thanks
Thank you for the video saved me a lot of time
thanks for the video, makes me decide to go to service for this :)))…
Great video! Thank you brother. You saved me a ton of time screwing around on my own. I appreciate ya!
Did you put the rubber cover back on the back if the bulb
Tell me about your experience trying to change this headlight or find information on how to change this headlight. Do you think Ford makes it easy or complicated?
its crazy… lol. thanks for the video, went to service for this.
Worked great thank you! Just had to remove one more fender screw near the top.
Just turn the tire inward with the steering wheel. That gives you all the clearance you need. 5 minute or less is all it takes to change the bulb.
Yeah, thanks. I said that in the video. I also said it's easier for me to pull off because I have a floor jack and an impact, and I change tires for a living. The average person wouldn't want to do that, I said. Thanks for watching.
Thanks man. $128 an hour for labor they told me. I need to charge more money as a mason.
I miss my ram 1500. They include access doors so you don’t have to remove any of the wheel well.
I got to take off a whole tire to replace just the bulb good God I do have all the tools but my old cry eas a pop the hood and pop the new one in style ford is not playing with us anymore trying there best to send us to the dealership
What model bulb did you get? I say Sylvania I think it was, but what was your model number? Mine went out today and I'm going to have to do this.
Not sure I think it was Sylvania. Thanks for watching.
My low beams went out last night after watching this idk if ima even fool with it today. jesus all this labor for a bulb screw lol
I just picked up a bulb from OReilly and watched this. I can’t believe Ford makes you go through all this to change a headlamp bulb. Tf.
@@bobbysealejunior6590it takes 5 min per side lol don't remove the tire it's simply not necessary. Plenty of room without doing that
Thank you. This helped a lot.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
I didn't think I could hate my Ford any more
This was a P.I.T.A. If I do it again… imma take wheel off like u said
Had me watch this thinkin wtf...lol
I ended up jus removing the tube to the air breather to get to it
Thanks for sharing, I had no clue.
I didn't have to Jack the truck and take the tire off though.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated. Yeah I didn't either but I change tires for a living and can do it pretty quickly so I figured it helped my neck a little by doing so. Not needed, but if easy to do it may help. Thanks again for commenting. Take care.
@@roadsideguy5902 , it still wasn't bad. Took me about 20 minutes or so. Thanks again.
Do NOT take your wheel off. Just turn your tire in the direction you're working and it opens the whole area up.
Yeah I said in the video that you don't have to take your wheel off. The only reason I took it off is because I have a floor jack and an impact and I change tires all day so to me it's very easy and it gave the viewer a better view of what I was doing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What. The fuck. Is this bullshit. Why did they make it so complicated to replace. A fucking. Headlamp.
Exactly!

I miss my 85 Suburban.
I just changed a flat on a mint 87
All you gotta do is pull back the plastic fender well on each side, reach up and remove each bulb. Why all the extra labor in this?
Cause as I said taking a tire off to me is nothing. Takes me one minute.
Thank You !

All that to change a build?? You sir guaranteed me to never buy a Ford newer truck.
Appreciate it!
Thank-you

What a pain in the ass to change a headlight
Yes it is! Thanks for watching.
I should have just kept my 13 🤦♂️

Leave it to modern day Ford to make a 5 min project a 2 hour pain in the a-s ……take it to Ford and they charge you 500 bucks .

Going through all that just to change a headlight bulb... come on ford. Do better
This is fucking ridiculous for a headlight 😂
Dum design by Ford but thanks for the video.
Horrible design by Ford
Absolutely ridiculous
Thank you
Glad I could help
