Just a demonstration of the WA4FC repeater system. This provides ease of contact across three bands. I believe the area coverage is localized to the Richmond Va Metro area. This is one of the many useful purposes for the many Baofeng radio models. As a licensed amateur, one can access a number of analog repeater systems. It's handy. This radio was gifted to American Radio Xray some time ago and it's used on occasion for communication testing and regular conversation. For me, the 224.520Mhz repeater is very close and easy to access. I can be heard and can talk to other ops on 927.050Mhz and at the same time on 1282.000Mhz (or 1.2Ghz). I know a few ops that own 900Mhz radios (Motorola) and they seem to work very well. Not since the early 2000's have I used 1.25m and only then it was four of us at any given time with the tech (Alinco for me, portable) and others in the Atlanta GA area might use the other two bands.
