Pokemon Legends Arceus is a step forward that felt more akin to the vision of imagination we had of being Pokemon masters and having an adventure in a real live world. Scarlet/Violet feels like adding Open World mechanics to an old game without having any attention to detail.
Arceus is hands down one of my favorite games of all time, not just in the Pokémon series. I still can’t put it down. Just started playing pokemon legends arceus, it's everything I wanted the original pokemon to be! There's a more natural bond between you and your pokemon as you fight in the wild and interact with the environment. They did a good job making the player feel immersed between crafting system, fluid combat and strategy (ability to change moves at a whim), incentive to complete the pokedex and making it a fun challenge. Even the pokemon attacks seem more impactful like they actually hit your opponents. I haven't felt the same level of excitement since pokemon yellow first came out on gameboy color. All the other games in the franchise stuck to the old original formula for combat that felt slow, clunky, and made filling the pokedex a chore. As more pokemon are added with each generation, there needs to be a streamlined approach to "catching them all", and legends does that perfectly. I hope they make more games similar to legends just with better graphics and gym leaders to battle.

Arceus hands down was a better more polished game that really redefined the franchise. It brought back that pokemon colosseum vibes. And made me very happy
I got to give it PLA. You exist WITH the pokemon, they will attack YOU, the battling is WAY deeper with the speed/power effects on moves, the character customization, the pokemon catching without battling mechanic, the different mounts for different purposes, I could go on. The only advantage of PSV is that it has A story. The same story, for the last 25 years, the exact same story.
For sure, gamefreak will keep improving some part of the game and changing/removing some features of the game so they can keep you buying another pokemon game. They know exactly what you want. lol
I like how the main character is treated in Legends Arceus, definitely different from the other mainstream games. Rather than an unattended child exploring a region, you’re treated as a possible threat, an outsider met with suspicion and have to earn your keep as a researcher. It’s not an original theme, but a first for the Pokémon franchise.
I couldn't help but feel that I took a step back playing Scarlet and Violet. More so because I played Arceus quite late until about a month before Gen 9 came out. It didn't help that Scarlet and Violet really don't run well at all.
I want Legends Arceus gameplay in a more modern setting. I want the game that I dreamed of as a kid in the year 2000. I want to do the journey Ash did in Kanto myself, roaming free like in Arceus, catching pokemon the way I want to in any given moment. I want there to be danger like in the anime. I want to be immersed in the world. Scarlet did not immerse me whatsoever. Even the school was lame.
It's a close call. Although S/V has more content and more Pokemon I would give the slight edge to PLA because it was the most fun I've had with a Pokemon game in a long time. It's hard to forget the pure joy and excitement I had when I first played PLA. I also love how atmospheric it felt being set in the past. I still enjoy its gameplay much more too. Plus, the battle animation in PLA is peak Pokemon.
Actually, I think PLA had more content. PLA, had a pretty lengthy main story, side quests, and a long post game depending on how many pokémon had had. PLA also had more features such as a catching a pokémon without engaging in battle, and the merit point system. SV had a long story too but I feel like there's slightly less content than PlA
@@mizzix yeah but they managed to make a story out of that. Once you catch all the pokémon you fight Arlo for whatever his name is and with the daybreak update, there's an entire quest line that you can play too, not to mention the loads of side quests
As someone who's played since red, I really enjoyed Arceus and 100% the game. First time for a long time I put that much time into something. S/V is a gross mess, it's not a Pokémon game and for the first time in decades, I have no intention of finishing them or playing them again. I've never had to force myself to play a Pokémon game before . This in conjunction with Ash retiring after 25 years has left me in such a depressed state thinking about the future of Pokémon
Legends Arceus is one of my top five favorite games, I love the connection of the player with Arceus, I adore the story and how it has mystery dungeon vibes The story had so much mystery and meaning to it! Not to mention how the Npcs felt like real characters! Hisuian Deciduye was so adorable and the hisuian Pokemon designs are so amazing! The lore is so interesting, Cylene and professor Laventon act as a mother and a father figure to the player, they are very special After ranger and mystery dungeon, the player clearly sides with Pokemon in a mainline game, this makes town residents and most of the galaxy team members suspicious of the player Everything about legends, from the music to the story is everything I've ever wanted from a Pokemon game and I'm glad Pokemon SV is following some of its footsteps Pokemon SV is a very beautiful game, I adore Miraidon so much and it has so much personality! Rotom in Alola had formed a strong friendship with the MC and it was so refreshing, I'm glad they did that with Miraidon/Miraidon as well! The story is very beautiful and it has many important lessons Miraidon is too adorable, I really didn't think I would end up loving Pokemon SV so much! Hopefully they end up making more legends games and more mainline games with important messages and friendships between the Mc and the Pokemon!
I been putting it off because of sword and shield don’t get me wrong I liked it but it was just basic and to easy to beat I think I only lost one battle the whole time playing but never mind that you messaged and this video just convinced me to buy pla
Watching this after almost 2 years of the release of Legends and I still love it. I restarted Legends again a week ago after having over 150 hours in it. Can't say that I'm bored because it's so good.
PLA has better catching and wild Pokémon mechanics, I really enjoyed the action rpg elements. However, SV has the better battle mechanics, as competitive play is a big part of the post-game. If these two elements were combined with an open world that has level scaling, better performance, and voice acting, then we have the perfect game.
WTF LEgends Arceus looks amazing bro the design aspects looks so much nicer. They even kept the Tall grass, it makes sense to crouch in there than scarlet and violet with no tall grass. Also its a bit like a kung fu game the moves look way more cooler and more exaggerated. They foucus on the game different to how they did to SV. It looks more engaging. Physically throwing the pokeball yourself is freaking mint idea. The only reason why I didn't buy PLA is because it is NOT multiplayer. So playing by myself is kinda boring sometimes. I already play BDSP by myself and SV that union circle is the main reason I got it for. Also PLA pokemon in the past is a such a cooler concept, I dont have to wear some school uniform I could look like a ninja like Im in Japan hunting for pokemons. Man that sounds super legit!
Im on Arceus was better. Pokedex felt like it had more meaning to me in it, the actual boss fights. I mean the end fight with Arceus was hard! Until ya get used to the pattern, but I found it hard to begin with. XD
Only diehards will say S/V is better than Arceus. Anybody with the ability to objectively judge is going to clearly see Arceus as the better game. S/V has so many glitches it's not even funny, not to mention the ridiculous frame drops. You can't even catch pokemon out of battle like Arceus, and there's no collection or completion aspect to the pokedex like Arceus had. It's just a complete downgrade.
I'm still playing PLA to this day because there are still so many shiny Pokémon that I want to collect, it's genuinely THE best Pokémon game in a decade, meanwhile I bought Violet and I haven't even touched it since the first Charizard raid. I really hope we get Legends 2 because I'm buying that in a heartbeat.
Bro, imagine GameFreak doing the DLC where the professors actually live but they’re from another parallel universe; where the protagonist and his/her friends go to the DLC island where that island is is just the past/future and the professors get saved by them. Kind of like the butterfly effect/chaos theory or even probability theory.
Pokemon needs to do a hybrid between legends and scarlet/violet. Imagine a full open world, able to throw pokeball to catch or throw pokemon.. that would be awesome
I really liked Arceus. I think it’s easier for most fans to prefer Arceus to S/V because Arceus is the only one of its kind that is about studying Pokémon in an open world. S/V does have some open world too, but it’s just another Pokémon game with an open world, which was fine and fun for one playthrough, but the mainline Pokémon games have gotten so child-locked that villains aren’t even villains anymore and there’s no real plot anymore. I miss the older gen plots where Pokémon were murdered or abused for organizational purposes. Now all we have is “i was bullied so i turned punk” and a 10 year old with no villainous plan is the mastermind of if all.
When you talked about content you kinda glossed over the large amount of side quests Legends Arceus has... Sure, most of them aren't all that long or special but that's still a lot of much appreciated content
Oh goodness yes! The sidequests in PLA were great because they did tell little mini stories and have fun interactions while building the main story of people becoming more acclamated to pokémon as partners.
I love how with the side quests, the NPCs will acknowledge if you give them shinies and/or alphas, too. That's something that I'd love to see more often.
@Kamiyouni Right?! And not just side quests! Just going around and talking to the villagers can sometimes give you little hints about things. There is a villager you talk to who wonders how Beni can go out of the village by himself to gather resources without being noticed by wild Pokémon; hinting at him being a ninja way before it’s revealed. So many fun, small details.
@@Boredom-ds5yg it's moments like that that makes it seem like PLA was the Pokémon game GF WANTED to make. No obligations, timelines, quotas, whatever. I usually don't like when a game has barely any new pokémon but PLA is a strong exception.
I think we’ll be able to battle the gym leaders over and over, even though we can’t right now, because after I battled Grusha, for the second time during the post game where Geeta sent me to battle all gym leaders again; Grusha said “I won’t lose next time. You’ll see.”
As far as which game runs better, feels more complete, and feels so immersive, Legends: Arceus wins by a mile. You can just tell when you play SV that they spent so much time on Area Zero, that they forgot the entire rest of the game surrounding Area Zero. The Area Zero design and plot was good, but everything else in SV falls awfully short, especially in comparison to Arceus.
In terms of graphics I don't understand how you could give it to Scarlet and Violet, Legends doesn't look great but Scarlet and Violet looks N64 bad which is a complete disgrace for a 2022 game
My vote's on Arceus, for one important feature: sound and visual cues for shinies in the overworld (not just in battle). It REALLY helps with those who are colorblind. I love both Arceus and Violet, and just wish both had been given more time. Arceus suffers from an artistic point, but is otherwise pretty solid. Violet? Well, it's the first time I've EVER had a switch game crash. It's in dire need of bug fixes and optimization.
I’d have loved for the capture and lock-on mechanics in Legends: Arceus to be present in Scarlet & Violet. I also wish the gliding in Scarlet & Violet was more like Arceus. We were able to glide more smoothly and for a longer distance, in addition to being boosted into the air. Koraidon and Miraidon are supposed to be able to fly, so it makes me wonder why we can’t get a bit more air on them…
The character and Pokémon models of Arceus look much better to me, but I still prefer Scarlet and Violet due to it taking place in a civilized world instead of the past
Scarlet and Violet reached higher heights than Legends Arceus in terms of story and scale, but also dropped to lower lows with its performance. As soon as I reached the true ending of SV, I booted up LA and didn’t want to let it go because the gameplay flow was consistent all throughout. I realize it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but having to sit through almost a full minute of text boxes going over every stat change and status ailment after tasting the faster pace of LA’s combat was like a chore.
Pokemon SV was a stepup from SW and SH but definitely a step down from PLA. PLA was just so good. One thing that PLA did better is the high quality cinematics for boss pokemon. Really made you feel like Pokemon were living creatures
Arceus and it's not even close but granted I think but games have great aspects that if combined, could have made the best Pokemon game by a landslide. But PLA just was so much fun and refreshing and I actually tried to catch all of the pokemon and use them. Sure it was a little lower on content but I was still able to put 60 hours into the game. I love how fluid, quick, and seemless things were done. Also, shiny hunting was by far the best and I loved the massive otubreaks and dimensional wormhole things.
No need to compare ,legend arceus feel like a real pokemon games and we as player became part of the legend itself and the legendary pokemon are truly mystic and legend ,for scarlet/violet we ride our lizard like motorcycle everywhere and to became a true sandwich maker.
Bought a switch just to play Arceus absolutely loved the environment and the feel the spawn town would have at sunset completed nearly everything after 2 weeks then sold the switch
Both have their place but Legends Arceus is so much more polished and unique. Scarlet/Violet is filled with content and added some nice QOL features, but at the expense of slashing convenient features from Legends Arceus in the process.
In my personal OPINION, I liked SV more. I did like the different take on lengends Arcues being set in the past. What I liked about SV is they are more traditional games with the gyms, evil team, etc. Also, I’m still in the process of finishing lengends Arcues, I still need to battle Arcues.
I think I preferred Arceus style as opposed to the new mainstream games. A lot of people tell me that the mainstream was always super easy, I was just a kid - maybe, but I do know that items weren't scattered all over the ground and the gym challenge actually made more sense than rolling giant seed around the ground or some other silly nonsense. 😂
I like the new one better cause it doesn't take hours to finish the post game. You can literally start playing how you want after you enroll from school. Arceus literally made you feel like you were doing missions and forced into a certain crateria of gameplay. Go do this go do that. I want to level up my pokemon and enjoy pokemon in a virtual world. I don't wanna go to school and feel like a kid again.
I haven't played Arceus yet, so I came here after finishing SV to decide whether it's worth getting the game. I absolutely loved SV, so I wasnt too sure but this video was very helpful
We NEED Arceus to be the standard. Not S/V. I'm not saying I hate Violet, but man, the stuff Arceus did was great, and it sucks that it backtracked when S/V came out. I want more of the proper open world Pokemon experience that Arceus did. Pokemon attack YOU, the actual manual throwing out of Pokemon and Pokeballs, and the battles happening IN the world, and not some sub-screen. Arceus just feels great to play, S/V feel like Sun and Moon 2.
despite pearl being my first game and thoroughly enjoying legends, i think im gonna have to give it to sv for the story alone, it was just so engaging (i have to mention i don’t have a tv so i play handheld 100% of the time so performance wasn’t as much of an issue for me)
I play handheld too, but the performance was so much worse in SV than in PLA. Especially when the screen would freeze every few seconds so I can’t see how far I’ve run.
Even though Legends Arceus lacked content, I found it more enjoyable than Scarlet Violet. The catching mechanics were fun, crafting was a nice addition and I liked that there were darker themes in the game. Scarlet Violet lacked lots of stuff that should’ve been kept from Arceus but the game itself was fine. It honestly bored me just like how BDSP did. The technical issues completely ruined my experience though. I couldn’t enjoy anything since everything was running in 20 FPS at best.
Watching this to get an idea on if I wanna buy s/v but I was sorely disappointed that they changed the catching system. Arceus felt SOOO nice, I don't think I can go back to pokemon games that use the older systems.
It’s a real pain, not gunna lie. The game is very fun with a great story, but after playing PLA, the catching and battling process is torture. There are times when you run from a Pokémon, only to have another Pokemon touching you, so you start a battle with it, and it can keep repeating. I have been tossed between so many Pokémon and I haven’t even moved. 😵💫
I was gonna get Pokemon Violet, and I'm so glad that I decided to google if it was worth the buy or not instead of just buying it (I learned that lesson with Pokemon Sword) Arceus is just so much prettier looking, so Im buying that instead.
@@torrent7474 Agreed. I still havent gotten Scarlet or Violet yet and I'm bummed out that Wooper isnt there but Legends is soo much better. Now I'm just wondering if I could've gotten both had I gotten Scarlet or Violet first since people were getting refunded for it :' )
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 now that I’ve played a bit of Violet, it is pretty tedious getting around. Miraidon is a bit slow, cute, but slow. I do really like the super tiny Pokémon walking around in the grass. Capsakid, Pawmi, and Smoliv are so small and so adorable (PLA is still better tho)
Legends Arceus is like you trying to stay alive and catch primal Pokemon.S/V is like: "We will give the past/future version of cyclizar and disguise it as a legendary Pokemon."
Arceus is better by a mile idc what anybody say the battle mechanics the open world boss battle the quest the missions the story compared to that buggy ass mess despite ppl talking shit about Arceus before it dropped everybody was playing it up for hours not sleeping tryna get they Pokédex at 100%
Arceus was the first Pokémon game I ever played (besides Pokémon Snap.) And after putting 150 hours into Arceus, and then playing Scarlet when it debuted, I was so frustrated that they got rid of the open “quick catch” mechanic that I stopped playing the game entirely. Scarlet was a huge step back.
Pokemon PLA is way more emersive new story cool plot twist at the end. PLA was more of a challenge than SV. People in the comments are saying SV story is better? How? Its the same old story since the Red Blue. The Pokemon company tried to sell us that SV had 3 story lines and choose your own path. Yeah right its the same formula, not a bad thing, but it's very basic. Even Arvins story really isn't that deep. If SV had PLA mechanics of catching, wild Pokémon attacking, better battle animations, the ability to actually be able to run from a battle and not just a text screen giving you the option to run. SV was 2 steps forward 3 steps back.
I just started playing Legends. I am hooked. I'm not even a big pokemon guy but I am loving this game. I wish it had the normal pokemon EV and IV system for a bit of extra depth. Otherwise I LOVE this game.
You pretty much sealed out for me the moment you mentioned the difference in the Fly mechanics. I was debating whether to get Arceus first and SV after our viceversa. I wanted to get the least favorable first so as to not get disappointed in the transition and feel an improvement. I think SV first, Arceus later might be the correct order.
I love all 3 of them. But it sure would be greater , like if SV actually got a newer mechanic like where it allowed us all to do a lot more on the crafting. And it got to be a lot more on nature and to live off of the lands. And to have a newer way for making stuff in bulk and to do a lot more on how to sell stuff. And to craft our own clothing , but instead of actually buying our own clothing. And to be a lot more opened to expanding for a lot more on crafting. But also to show us the locations of where to go to. But anyway i love all 3 of those games.
I hadn't played a pokemon game in years but picked up Arceus cos it kinda looked like what I imagined my dream Pokemon game would be during the N64 era. I loved it and played it flat out. Scarlet just didn't hold my attention. I had way more fun with Arceus.
There was no order because it's open world. The characters in the game made it clear at the begging that they wanted you to explore the world and figure things out for yourself, make decisions for yourself. The past pokemon games made decisions for you that's why there was a order. But in scarlet/violet that game wants u to be more independent of your own actions. Example: if u did manage to go to a gym 5, 6, 7, or 8 with a level 15 Fuecoco then that's on you. Your responsible for your own actions. The game doesn't wanna hold your hand throughout the journey. That's why there's no order
@@sylvesterfoster5957ya but for the game to really make sense and flow correctly you should play it in order anyways. Cuz or else your just running into areas with way to powerful of wild Pokémon and trainers or way underleveled wild Pokémon and trainers. I think the open world concept was a cool idea in theory and it should have the same feel but you should still unlock regions as you go. I woulda loved a game like that.
Legends Arceus had great characters, story, gameplay, and atmosphere. I was excited to go to each new area, and back to old ones, especially after I unlocked new travel abilities (Pokemon). Violet has Larry and Arven. The only other impression it left me was why do the men look mostly girly and or emasculated and the women are so masculine?
Scarlet and Violet have an amazing story and characters, but that’s it. Once completing the game that’s it; while in legends you have the requests as an option to finish.
Giving visuals to S&V was extremely generous.. Especially since most of its textures look copy pasted over the landscape and ver poorly blended together..
Gameplay wise these were 2 of the best games the series has ever had. Its just performance issues from trying to do too much for the Switch that have led to negativity
They need more open world games like arceus. Moving around mid fight, stealth catching, feeding wild pokemon, etc. I just hope they make more like arceus. It gave me monster hunter vibes espeically with the camps. It felt like a more mature pokemon game with the story as well. The old pokemon style was good, but arceus made it better. They could easily make a sequel in a different region. Or show ancient groudon kyogre beefs.
I think a cool thing scarlet/violet has is the hm creation but i think id rather have the ability to create pokeballs and potions like in arceus. Another positive that was mentioned in the video was the amount of content in scarlet/violet compared to arceus. For me, thats where basically all the things i like more about scarlet/violet compared to arceus. Everything else i like about arceus more than scarlet/violet. Both great games, spent a lot of hours in both but for me legenda arceus is the superior amongst all the mentioned games
If we had the storyline and amount of pokemon of pokemon scarlet and violet, and had the graphics and the gameplay style of legends arceus, i genuinely think it woukd have been one of the better pokemon games

Arceus hands down was a better more polished game that really redefined the franchise. It brought back that pokemon colosseum vibes. And made me very happy
BECAUSE you mentioned Colosseum I have to buy it. My favorite pokemon games are XD and Colosseum

This ❤ I would love a gen 1 adventure with the new tweaks here and there. It'd be great to get stuck with a temperamental Pikachu too 🤣
S/V is trash like all the other 3D mainline games. Legends Arceus is the only good thing they've produced in YEARS
It's a close call.
@@capybaraqueen4505 isn't legends arceus post game just catching pokemon?

I can totally relate to you! 💯
I haven't bought mainline trash since Sun/Moon handhold trash. But Legends Arceus was actually a good game and made me go and buy it.
Legends Arceus is one of my top five favorite games, I love the connection of the player with Arceus, I adore the story and how it has mystery dungeon vibes
The story had so much mystery and meaning to it! Not to mention how the Npcs felt like real characters!
Hisuian Deciduye was so adorable and the hisuian Pokemon designs are so amazing!
The lore is so interesting, Cylene and professor Laventon act as a mother and a father figure to the player, they are very special
After ranger and mystery dungeon, the player clearly sides with Pokemon in a mainline game, this makes town residents and most of the galaxy team members suspicious of the player
Everything about legends, from the music to the story is everything I've ever wanted from a Pokemon game and I'm glad Pokemon SV is following some of its footsteps
Pokemon SV is a very beautiful game, I adore Miraidon so much and it has so much personality! Rotom in Alola had formed a strong friendship with the MC and it was so refreshing, I'm glad they did that with Miraidon/Miraidon as well!
The story is very beautiful and it has many important lessons
Miraidon is too adorable, I really didn't think I would end up loving Pokemon SV so much!
Hopefully they end up making more legends games and more mainline games with important messages and friendships between the Mc and the Pokemon!
your comment just convinced me of buying arceus
They need to just combine the best of both games.
That’s what I’m thinking too.
It’s what I’m hoping the next Pokémon game will do in hitting the sweet spot.
XD
Agreed.
Pokémon S/V school’s clothes is a Huge Disappointing opportunity I only like Winter uniforms LOL 😢
Legends Arceus is an innovative step in the right direction. Scarlet/Violet is a clusterfuck.
I honestly think both games are bloody fantastic, I just wished both had been given an extra year or so in development each.
THE SHINY SOUND!!!!! That alone makes PLA leaps and bounds over every pokemon game ever made.
In terms of graphics I don't understand how you could give it to Scarlet and Violet, Legends doesn't look great but Scarlet and Violet looks N64 bad which is a complete disgrace for a 2022 game
Only 2 things i really liked about sv was the textured pokemon and the titan story line.
I am still playing Pokemon Areus and still like it. It took me a while to like it but I started with a fresh mind knowing it was a new world.
Legend of arceus in my opinion had the best starter options to choose from.
By far
Who didn't choose Cyndaquil? 😂
Koraidon and Miraidon are supposed to be able to fly, so it makes me wonder why we can’t get a bit more air on them…
glide not fly

There is a lock-on feature in SV, but it sucks so bad!!!
I'm digging S/V but I didn't put 800 hours into PLA for nothing.
From the comments I understand that Arceus is better, but I want the online pvp endgame :( Can’t decide
I thank Legends Arceus for existing.
Honestly despite all the problems of swsh I enjoyed it for some reason
I believe that if you want to get a new experience, you should buy PLA
PLA is a much Better experience.
After playing legend arceus which I loved a lot, I couldn't get into gen 9. Legends Arceus was a much better game and I had a lot more fun with it.
The open world concept was great on both games are a step in the right direction...but based on level of difficulty, Pokemon legends Arceus.
Currently playing Scarlet, a bit unenthused. When I play PLA it's vibe
Bought a switch just to play Arceus absolutely loved the environment and the feel the spawn town would have at sunset completed nearly everything after 2 weeks then sold the switch
I actually liked both, so it's hard for me to decide. If Scarlet/Violet had more features from Legends: Arceus it would have been the clear winner.
If LA allowed us to play and interact with our pokemon just like in Pokemon Camp in Sword n Shield it'll be perfect Pokemon game to date.
Both have their place but Legends Arceus is so much more polished and unique. Scarlet/Violet is filled with content and added some nice QOL features, but at the expense of slashing convenient features from Legends Arceus in the process.
5:00-5:40 like that feature too. But I also think it all goes down to what you like between the two games
Arceus > Scarlet&Violet
Arceus pushed the franchise into a new era much more than SV.
You don't wanna go to school yet you like scarlet and violet more?
I haven't played Arceus yet, so I came here after finishing SV to decide whether it's worth getting the game. I absolutely loved SV, so I wasnt too sure but this video was very helpful
Did you buy it then ? I’m in same situation and still cant decide !
Buy it! It’s amazing! It might not have as many Pokémon as S/V, and isn’t a true open world, but the FEEL of the game is the best.
Yes get it. Collecting alpha pokemon is satisfying too
LA feels like an actual pokemon game. The collection and completionist aspect is beautiful
Snow surfing with stickers of each Pokémon Pokémon that give speed or boost bonuses during the race down a snow mountain
Don't have a tv??? We finally found the 1 person in the world who doesn't have a tv!!
Development on Arceus started after S/V. That’s why it seemed like a step back in gameplay
We also got Brilliant Diamond like barely 2 months before Arceus.
Scarlet and violet are ok games but if they could make another legends pokemon game based on the legendaries of each gen would be awesome
I was gonna get Pokemon Violet, and I'm so glad that I decided to google if it was worth the buy or not instead of just buying it (I learned that lesson with Pokemon Sword)
Arceus is just so much prettier looking, so Im buying that instead.
You won't regret it. I own both and PLA is much better.
@@torrent7474 Agreed. I still havent gotten Scarlet or Violet yet and I'm bummed out that Wooper isnt there but Legends is soo much better. @@thelegacyofgaming2928 now that I’ve played a bit of Violet, it is pretty tedious getting around. Miraidon is a bit slow, cute, but slow. I do really like the super tiny Pokémon walking around in the grass. Capsakid, Pawmi, and Smoliv are so small and so adorable
(PLA is still better tho)
Legends Arceus is like you trying to stay alive and catch primal Pokemon.S/V is like: "We will give the past/future version of cyclizar and disguise it as a legendary Pokemon."
Arceus is better by a mile idc what anybody say the battle mechanics the open world boss battle the quest the missions the story compared to that buggy ass mess despite ppl talking shit about Arceus before it dropped everybody was playing it up for hours not sleeping tryna get they Pokédex at 100%
Arceus was better by far. I’m having more fun with Shield then I did violet and scarlet.
Arceus was so much better it wasn’t even funny scarlet and violet was torture to play through
Arceus just did catching better, oh yeah also move animations
Pokémon legends of Arceus is way better in every single way, especially graphically
Haha I like the way you think
The catch dynamics were so awesome in Arceus
Two Pokémon Legends games set in prehistoric Hoenn, and Unova would be cool!
Pokémon legends arceus was super good. It just didn’t have enough Pokémon in it for me
It's a prequel to Platinum or ancient Sinnoh, that makes sense. Unlike Gen 8, Gen 9 and whatever the heck BDSP are.
I thought he said you can give your Pokémon back shots for a sec 😂
If only Scarlett’s map idea wasn’t so stupid. Should have unlocked as you went. I hated how there was no gym order. Could have been so sick
It is easily PLA and imagine if we got dlc for it damn it would have been cool
Scarlet and Violet have an amazing story and characters, but that’s it. Once completing the game that’s it; while in legends you have the requests as an option to finish.
Giving visuals to S&V was extremely generous.. Especially since most of its textures look copy pasted over the landscape and ver poorly blended together..
Arceus is the better game
Gameplay wise these were 2 of the best games the series has ever had. Its just performance issues from trying to do too much for the Switch that have led to negativity
They need more open world games like arceus. Moving around mid fight, stealth catching, feeding wild pokemon, etc. I just hope they make more like arceus. It gave me monster hunter vibes espeically with the camps. It felt like a more mature pokemon game with the story as well. The old pokemon style was good, but arceus made it better. They could easily make a sequel in a different region. Or show ancient groudon kyogre beefs.
Thank for a great review now i know what to buy im getting my nintendo switch this week and you are a great help
So we all agree that the perfect pokemon game would be Sv as a base and Pla touch ups 🤣
Thanks for the review I’m getting Scarlet
Can you get other Pokémon from other players and platforms just wondering
If we had the storyline and amount of pokemon of pokemon scarlet and violet, and had the graphics and the gameplay style of legends arceus, i genuinely think it woukd have been one of the better pokemon games
