- We look back on the couple of weeks leading up to the Cresta's first ever 8 second pass including fire proofing & running it on the dyno. We then take it to the docks where it will be shipped off to the USA. There's high hopes for the Cresta & it's new setup this year.

Quick Tip. Wet the heat wrap when putting on the exhaust. Won’t get as much fibres on your hands/gloves and it shrinks when it dries for a tighter neater fit 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Last drag week really doesn't feel like that long ago. Lets hope the Cresta makes it there in once piece.
Benny did say he wasn't going again as it was a right Ball Ache to sort and get the sponsors obviously that has changed and Yes I would love to see Cleetus and Benny get together including the PFI guys.

The Cresta has been around so long you can see the surface rust on the parachute lever.

Good luck with Drag Week Mate, been there & know how fucking hard it is. My Mate here in the US does "custom" blankets for turbo's, header's or manifold's & all hot pipe's from three layer quilted silica fabrics for any application. The stuff is so good you can hold your hand on it right after a dyno pull & it feels like warm laundry. He ships his shit all over the world & the company name is Turbo Performance Products.
I watched this playlist directly after the 2018 Drag-week playlist, so everything in this video is in context and contiguous. It's great to see the evolution.

It always amazes me just how much more work and power goes into that 1 second drop in 1/4 mile time. Several hundred horsepower, all that build work and time to go from 9 to 8. Enjoy the 1000hp Cresta mate, love ya work!

For the Americans watching it’s a MainLine Dyno so you’ll need to add 20% to the total as U.S dyno’s read higher.

Why is that?
AU made mainline dyno is renowned for its accuracy which usually gives lower kw number than other dyno.
@@s3904393s some in the US use proper dynos as well...
It’s also a hub dyno though and hub will show more then wheel dynos

It's nice to see Barra's getting more and more popular in the US, not just because we import them, but they are some really good engines. Hopefully with more popularity in the US we can get some better parts on hand here as well as more mods.

Benny, I'm not one for posting on people's stuff too often but this I had to share. Instead of cutting those stainless strips off to nothing, leaving the inevitable next time your working in that area, leave about 3cm of strap showing, and tuck it back under itself within the clasp. Saves cutting your hands to bits next time your there.

Great work... a tip for drawing a line a set distance from a template is to use a thick washer.
Take a suitably sized washer, place the pen through the hole in the middle of the washer and run the edge of the washer against the template. PS I hope those gloves are cut resistant!

An interesting comparison would be to put the Crest on Cleetus' dyno and see if Leroy really is making 1200hp.
Thought 1200 was the 7 sec "coolantless" old motor? 1200 without the bald eagle overboost button anyway..
Here's the thing that the internet doesn't understand - actual dyno shops don't obsess over numbers like the internet does; they don't give a fuck because they're in the business of TUNING, not making memes
For as much as the rest of the world believes that all 'Murican dynos magikaly add 500HP, the terms "heart breaker" and "dream crusher" sure as hell get thrown around here an awful lot...

I love everything about the Cresta. It pours on power like a hi-fi knob turns, super smooth with precision results. Drag week is full of violent raucous beasts and this has a completely different vibe. Super cool and glad to have more Drag Week content so soon.
