- It's the second last official day of Drag Week 2019 at Merryland International Dragway.
To ensure they see the week through, the boy's strategy remains consistent, however there's talk of turning it up in order to deliver competitive times!

i keep saying i'm not into tractors but every time i go to a museum or swap meet with a friend i come away impressed. hit and miss engines are cool too.
These brakes wear down, like they were outta fasion. Great line, again! I love the small metafors, and generelly funny, down to earth way of using words.

Love the videos! I am from northern Virginia and it's awesome seeing you guys travel around and enjoy the area I call home.
Being from the East coast i love this. I live in Hawaii now but went to Sydney a few months ago and loved it. I love watching these and hearing/seeing all the different lingo. Its awesome to see that even though we are all so far apart and we may use different words for the same thing, we all have the smae love for the sport.
Between this series and the builds this has quickly become one of my favorite channels. You gotta go to two videos a week.

The engineers that designed the Barra called the turbo version gull because they new it was gonna shit on everything else true story
Yep it's true :) They also said the software in the oem management was uncrackable. That lasted under a year before flashtunes started LOL
For anyone who doesn't know the old two-stroke diesel engines were the birth place of hot rodding. Back in the day they would pinch old blowers of diesels and fit them to V8's to push them harder in street races and eventually track use. LOVE the content guys, almost a little bit sad to know it's about to end!!
On one hand I want longer videos, on the other hand, short videos means that you didn't run into problems which is what's I'd rather see. Love your preparedness and all the attention to detail you boys put into the cars and setup. Truly refreshing as opposed to some other YTer's that slap stuff on right before an event and hope it works. Cheers boys!

Have to agree with the other gents. Nothing quiet about them. I think the Cresta in the first iteration was pretty quiet, but that was what... three years ago now?

It’s easy to loose sight of how fast 8-9 second passes really are after watching you guys run them all week. Pretty damn quick for a street car!

nice to hear someone else who is familiar with the old 2 stroke detroits. we call them screaming jimmys. ive built tons of those things, from the 53 series, the 71 series and the big ass 92 series. we had a tractor with one of my old employers that they used to blade snow to open roads, it was a 12v92 bi-turbo "tiger," huge, loud, and powerful

They use the 8V71 on Gas turbines for black starts. Seen one at Karratha Gas Plant on one of the GTs. Pretty cool knowing the old girl just sits there waiting to scream to life to save the day.

Next time you do one of these series of race videos, you should end each episode with the drag race and leaving one track to head to the next track. It will help build the tension leading up to the race and make every episode feel like an accomplishment.

yous should build a dragtor. a nice ford 4000 or a zetor crystal. big frame easy to work on and get parts swap an engine into it and make power
Its a shame that the Mustang wasn't more stock/sleeper looking, because every time that you see the Quintrex bonnet the expectations are high.

were fighting bush fires here in Oz trying to not get burned down to the ground.very very dangerous a lot of classic cars have been taken buy fire here with these vicious bush fires.
nick mitrevski we’re back here in Aus and its terrifying . We’ve lost families properties s d car collections in previous fires but touch wood have had very few fires in our area for quite a long time.

@@heyhayhay247 to be honest I can't recall, I'd imagine they would have made some improvements as that's the engine they prepped in the mockup build in Australia.

I almost wanted my parts failing or some drama.
Alex Morris wishing dramas on people is not cool. These guys travel across the world there is 4 known barras in the USA (finnegan has one in Georgia, they have 2 in their cars and a trashed one there as well.) nothing makes me happier than knowing they come to North America and compete at this event and if they do it with no dramas and are safe that’s the icing on the cake.
@@NellisNelson The word almost was in my sentence if I'm not wrong. I'm just saying with all the prep and such, a water pump going bad and having to change it on side of the road at 2am would have been a cool challenge to see them experience and overcome. Did not say I didn't want them to finish.

Think you answered my question at the end of this vid to be fair ...your running the spare engine etc. Was just surprised as how quick the mustang new build was compared to all your development time with the Cresta. Obviously the mustang has benefited from what you learned with Cresta but still seamed surprising.
