@@sly7190 on xbox just turn of multiplayer mid-game (in the game settings) and change PC's clock. If you're alone in the galaxy/group you don't have to turn off the multiplayer. But be careful this stuff is buggy and if you leave the game with changed time for too long it will crash
Silver gold platinum oxygen all increase size and weight and you can amediatly put the egg back in there and increase it's size again as well as the color is fixed milk in the color will make the primary color white with light green while a walker brain will make a red blue orange color patter we don't quite understand the part changer yet but we are working on it. You can make the perfect creature from 1 egg by putting it back in
what happens if you set time back, or can anything get corrupted from this?

@Sparks I had no intentions on playing this game. Especially seeing the reviews and seeing that there was nothing to do. But then I came across a video talking about an update about a year ago and I got hooked. Very great game, just disappointed on how they schemed everyone at the start.

@Sparks Some might argue that game companies should still be working the old fashioned way with a 80%+ playable game on launch with a single box price and minimal DLC or updates.
The meme nowadays is a 10% playable game on launch with another 40% as DLCs and the remaining 50% in lootboxes.

@@ZomboCed no. I’m not going to jump into all of the things they’ve lied about(Sean), but there’s a lot. He lied about multiplayer and he lied about certain functions. Does the good ol’ lying during game presses where he presents the game and says it’s not scripted when indeed people literally found the scripted gameplay in the files of the game itself. Mans a two faced liar and their studio deserved major repercussions. Literally waited until the day the game released to tell everyone that the game wasn’t multiplayer.
When held by a different company, these updates would come as paid dlcs. Living ships, new exocraft, more space encounters and now a pet system.
And now you can become a town sheriff in the space Wild West
I've just started and I was fine with paying full price (as I generally wait for a bit till the price comes down) with all the add-ons, as opposed to a certain "elite" game you have to play "dangerously" that was ruined with its full priced alpha (that may as well be a beta) and is unplayable (on my rig). So yeah, credit to Sean and his team. They've earned my coin.

It would be cool if you could assign them to your base, so perhaps have them patrolling, mining, or gathering in the immediate area.
It would make the bases feel more alive.
Also hopefully at some point you will be able to hire/gain npc's and have them live at your base and perhaps assign them to things such as farming and guard duty. Those two things could then be connected as you could have npc's riding on creatures as guards patrolling your base limits, or have a small pen of animals with a farmer that is harvesting them for whatever they produce.
That is child labor but with pets. So you basically want slaves lol

I'm 90% sure that the reason that they can lay any more eggs is cuz you had the max amount of eggs you can carry carry
I noticed that creatures with high aggressiveness with lasers equiped sometimes destroy hazardous flora, but get sidetracked and hunt other creatures more often. My companions with high independence don't need to be pet or fed as often.
I have only 4 of them so far, so I didn't have much opportunities to experiment with different types and might be completely wrong.
Man I always am happy to come back to this game after a few months and see the new updates
Literally the first thing I did in this update was get a laser dinosaur and I regret nothing
My first companion is a red and gray t-rex with a beak, ram horns and spikes going down its back. It's exactly what I was looking for and I'm very happy!

You can put the eggs through the sequencer more than once before hatching you don’t have to fill all slots so could resize 5 times to produce a giant. Also elements give a consistent colour change eg carbon = red.

I kinda feel bad getting all these updates for free. Gamers today are definitely not used to free content. The devs of NMS has forever earned a repeat buyer as well as positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
I don’t buy games on day one, I wait for reviews and patches and refused to buy this game on principle. But I have to admit they’ve done a remarkable job getting this game to what they promised.... and then some.
My initial reaction was that they’d just lied and manipulated people for cash but I don’t believe that anymore. I honestly believe that Shaun Murray was out of his depth and with no public relations training, he got caught up in the whirlwind (a whirlwind he created and fostered, admittedly) of hype around the game. He was so desperate for the game to be a success that he just couldn’t say no when he was doing interviews, etc.
I expected him and his team to bank the cash and cut and run but thankfully they didn’t. They knuckled down and worked and worked and worked on it until it’s where we are today. All for free. They deserved the criticism at launch but they equally deserve the high praise they get today for consistently delivering great content to their customers.
I’ll be going against my own principles in the next week or so and I’ll be buying the game. This studio have actually earned my respect, trust, forgiveness and my money.

I'd just like to add that in Growth Hormone whatever resource that reaches 100% dose will work. I've been growing diplos from 1.4m to 6.9m right now, having them grow 0.5m every manipulation. I started with 80 Phosphorus, then I learned that 13 Ionised Cobalt or 10 Platinum would work as well. I'm using Ionised Cobalt coz I have plenty in my inventory.

One thing you got wrong: There's not a limit on the number of eggs a creature can lay; there is a limit on the number of eggs you can have in your inventory. You can only have 6 eggs in your inventory since you only have 6 slots in the companion register.

14:52 I found that you can get a 'perfect' companion in a single generation by adding to a certain stat, put the egg back in the sequencer and add to that stat again until it says 'inherited' (or however that translates). Like increase gentleness until 'inherited'.
Then you can switch to a different stat and repeat the process until you reached 'inherited'.
This way I got my 'rock lion' (Those cat-like animals with a sort of rhino-armor) to 100% in all three stats without having to ..."wait" forever.
On a side note: 'Rock lions' can't be recolored or changed in anatomy, which is a real bummer.
@@LionHeartGames. From what limited testing I've done it seems that older creature models have more options while 'new' ones seem to have very limited or even no option at all in terms of anatomy.
My own female typus bone-crown dinosaur always comes out the same (despite the male typus of the same species looking way different) while a Proto-Gek I used as guinnea pig had some variations. Usually spikes, feathers, ears...
GOLD TIP
You can clone an egg SEVERAL TIMES before you hatch it. Each passage of the egg in the sequencer, and therefore of its modifications, is taken into account!
Ex_ Increase the size about 20 times to 100% in the sequencer, with carbon for example, 410 carbones x20, to directly get a creature at its maximum size
Ditto for the character.
PS_ The sequencer informs you when you have reached the maximum / minimum possible of a stat, by displaying 'Hereditary' after validation of the cloning

Selecting traits like a dog breeder. Love it. How big can the dinosaur offspring get?
Given time and patience I’d guess they can get quite large. I found giving a T-Rex like Dino Activated Indium makes it quite large, but I haven’t yet tested if you make a large one, grow it, take an egg from it, make it larger with Activated Indium, grow that one and take an egg from it, etc etc.

Prob not but I will check. They seem to only be able to spawn on a planet's terrain and the anomoly.

i put all my most expensive resourses i could into the egg and did it three times before hatching, did this to three eggs, one was the same but different color, one was exactly the same but bigger and one was something completely different with 16 legs 6 horns on its head 4 wings and hairy as xDD
Kinda nostalgic if you remember back the days this game came out...it was a total piece of repetitive grind game, and now it's f*** awesome.

The egg limit is how much eggs u have in your inventory only 6 past that you can't take another one
Also you can still add more materials to an egg that was modified before, each 100% in height gives 0.5m modifier and in personality each 100% of material gives 20% of the corresponding attribute, that by my experience

Yes you can adopt them and I'm pretty sure you can get eggs from them too.
Are you sure that "cannot carry any more eggs" meant that the creature couldn't lay more eggs and not that you were not allowed to induce eggs because you are only allowed to have a certain number in your inventory? It would make more sense if that's how it worked considering that the message is that you cannot "carry any more eggs", not that the creature cannot produce more.
I can confirm that you can only have 6 eggs in your inventory but the creatures can lay unlimited eggs i believe

Regarding the dose, have you tried adding smaller stacks? For example, putting just 1 piece of gold in a slot to see if the dose decreases?

I am having issues with the egg sequencer. I have a mechanical horse thingy and I cannot adjust its playfulness. I want it to be helpful but nothing works. always comes out 100% playful.Everything else works fine. I have tried every item in the menu.Everything that should work shows up negatively.
can you specifically choose the colour for your companions in the egg sequencer or is it always unstable?

All amazing additions I'm a bit gutted that only certain types have access to the left and right flank options for the lasers though.
I'm so glad taming in this game doesn't require to to sit beside a sleeping creature for hours and guard it against other hostiles

I cool idea or tweak I thought of was: what if, given your pet had laser(s), you could command it to harvest as much of a specific resource as it can?
For example, I could order my animal to look for di-hydrogen, and it would collect as much as it could within a radius of, idk, 200u

I've got these like mole miner (from fallout 76) animals on my planets wich are green and look really basic but they have a really cool mouth and are smaller then a geck. But it is from a scorch planet that's storms last like 30 second

how long aster hatching can it be old enough to gather eggs from?
I'm unsure how fun and interesting I think this is but I am sure of the fact that animals can walk right through base parts...that could have been fixed. I got knocked off my base and into the air by a ship that flew through a mountain and hit me. They just keep adding on. There was a fire seven stories below ground because there was a storm. What the hell? But hey animal training is what we needed!

Use your original save, you will have unlocked a lot of stuff in the beginning, you can use creative to figure stuff out 1st 👍

When it comes to the eggs, I don't think there is an actual limit to how many they can lay. There is a limit on how many eggs you can carry however, because I've had some of my creatures lay 4+ eggs with no problems

Is a high percent of independence better or is lower better?
Nothing I put in the two inner slots is doing anything. It's showing zero dose percent, regardless of what I put in.
How long does it take the infant to mature to an adult?
