What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!
Fun fact, Cerberus can rougly be translated to Spotted One, which alongside pictures means that Cerberus might have been a dalmation named spot. Hades was a likeable dork

Shadow Of Light Darkness I'm just curious, were you actually waiting for Cerberus for years? He's not even a god so I actually never expected him.
Though he is a rather unique and popular creature from classic mythology, he's the only 3 headed snake tailed dog I know of, plus, Hercules himself even had to get permission from Hades to take Cerberus to his cousin I believe(he was a king but his name alludes me) for his final labor, even then Hercules had a workout, I mean just imagine trying to drag a dog that size and strength from the underworld to a certain kingdom,
I know for a long time i was hoping they would add him, and besides not every single character in the game is a "god" medusa being one example.

That ult is like Ares' ult on steroids. Poor Xing is like wtf man, Ares' ult was already better. Oh and Cerb can heal himself, is healed when enemies heal, has a stun, a slow and a good escape. Yep, totally balanced.

Wow, so found tons of problems with him. In concept seems like he's great, but he needs fixes bad. His ult, will sometimes not even pull anyone even if they don't bead. Also, walls will stop enemies from being pulled to the location he wants. The worst problem, is the ghosts his 3 summons block allies attacks and allies can't kill them. If cerb doesn't kill them asap they help the enemy team by blocking attacks. This has to be a bug that needs to be fixed asap.

You'll probably be able to see when that circle fills in, like Fafnir's ult. If not, people will just learn the timings.
TwistedTwins beads will work. If you notice it's a knock up at first then he pulls you where ever. Otherwise nobody would be able to bead from Awilix either.

XxfabulasxX Well, It's not like I'm 100% sure what the ancient polytheistic religions considered beings that weren't in their main pantheon of gods, to be. But the 2 other Gorgon sisters along with Medusa were in fact, gods. They were the daughters of two sea gods, both of the sea gods had the same mother too, which was Gaia. So Medusa's parents descended from a titan just like Zeus.

I can see Cerberus and Hades pairing together pretty well. Hades starting off with shroud of darkness to silence, Cerberus then using his ghastly breath hitting with the middle to slow, Hades death from below if they're trying to run at this point, while Cerberus fires off paralyzing spit hitting all 4 stunning them, then Hades devour souls is one i just thought of.

Anthony a jumps isn't always a good thing. A player with any skill who has a lasting aoe will place it down and have him jump right in it, I mostly play posiden and if I trap him in Whirlpool/stun with kracken I can safely long range harass and eventually finish him.

Guardians are better than you think. Artio is really good too. She is Top 5 on Conquest (she can do any role), she is Top Ban on Joust, and if I'm not mistaken, best guardian for Duel. When I started Smite, I hated guardians even though I was a main Tank, because they didn't do anything, just mitigate damage. When I noticed that I'm the one that is supposed to attack first instead of defending, that's when I noticed that tanks are really fun. You should try being more aggressive, but do not overextend. You are the captain of the team in most cases, but remember to not be toxic or blame everyone for not attacking. You should mold your playing style depending on your team and enemy team. To be honest, even Geb, who is the perfect definition of a Guardian (Shields, CC, Ult that stuns and doesn't kill even if it does damage, damage ability with knockback, a dash) can be Top everything.

At least healers still have a role in Smite. Against anyone with half a brain in Paladins, you're healer is just another ult and ult battery meant to help carry you early game. ~30% vs an eventual 90% healing reduction.

his kit is to familiar and liked to be changed now, unless something completely changes the game his kit and numbers will stay the same. he fullfills the typical stealth assasin role and thats ok, he doesnt need to be made meta, hes fun in alt gamemodes.

It actually completely impossible. The only way it would work would be if they both scaled off of physical or both scaled off magical. They would scale off the same thing, but the physical damage and magical damage would both have to scale off of physical, or both scale magical
Josh Harper u get two builds, one for mage and the other one for physical, u start with 1500 gold in each one and get gold in both builds ( u have 1500 to spend on magical items and 1500 on physical, u cannot spend 3000 in just one) and by switching stance u switch build, anyway the only coubter part is balancing it as u could go full dmg in mage build dealing tons of dmg and switching to tanky build in the physical form if u r in trouble in seconds (or the other way around). It isnt impossible but it would be very hard to balance it

honestly he can still be played as a warrior, albeit a magical one. I see him like Ao Kuang. He's labelled as a guardian, but to my it seems like the solo lane or jungle will be his home
