Thanks for sharing. Just took a strengths test and came up as a Polymath. Could not find a good explanation. It sounded more negative like somebody jumping from one thing to the next without settling. This makes more sense.

we've rarely had any of such(akin to gauss, euler, newton, david hilbert, neumann, the bernoullis(?), poincare, lagrange, laplace, etc many more) since the industrian revolution, compartmentalization
I've been called a jack of trades my entire life and I've taught myself many skills that few in my circles know, out of need. So, maybe polymath might be an alright label? But I don't know If I'm bold enough to call myself that?
I finally found who am I. I always love to learn and learn and learn and learn from the experience of others to. I just love to collect knowledge and learning from others! thank you so much for this wonderful explanation! you are the best! polymaths always do stay humble though and they don't like to brag. :)

The world is scary, and polymathy is the best weapon in difficult and quickly changing times like those we live in now. Be able to pivot and adapt as the demands of the labor force shift because of artificial intelligence. Stay curious and stay capable. That’s what being a polymath is about.
