Thanks for the great comparison! I was hoping to combine the 2 rifles to make a budget transfer port adjustable regulated air rifle. Darn it. JTS should have used the same sized air cylinder in both air rifles. They could have had the sweetest multi adjustable air rifle? Thanks for saving me from buying the two rifles and trying to do it myself. LOL
Theoretically you COULD put an aftermarket regulator in the standard Airacuda and get what you are looking for. I have not tried the threads yet from one tube to the other to see if they are different. I just know they are different outer diameters. That being said, the standard Airacuda in .22 will hold its own against my unregulated Daystate Wolverine in .22. Yes the Daystate has a more finished appearance and trigger, but in the accuracy department? There's not enough difference to make a difference. www.pyramydair.com/blog/2023/02/testing-jts-dead-center-22-caliber-18-1gr-pellets/
Thank you sir ...received jts .25 standard today ...I do have a collection of pcp rifles & pistols this JTS AIRACUDA IS all the way TEXAS STYLE out of the box built tuff I haven't shot this one or any of the rest of ones I have hopefully soon thanks again for sharing ...
Thanks for the info, my buddy received his .25 standard this Wed. and it fires on de-cocking. bummer, my .22 max should be here tomorrow . We'll see what it does. 73
Great video. I have been trying to decide between the two rifles. I just ordered the max. Hope i made the right choice. Just unsure of that thumb hole stock.
Both are adjustable, and both are 2 stage. it can be adjusted until iy s unsafe. Here is a link to the adjustments by JTS themselves. ua-cam.com/video/IX_8EjKd5F4/v-deo.html
Have you done a hammer spring adjustment video ?? I have the Airacuda standard in 25 cal and I'm getting 780 fps with the JSB 33.95's but I'd like to get that to the mid 800's ! Do you think adjusting the hammer spring will achieve that ?? There is nothing in the owner's manual at all about adjusting the hammer spring! Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
I have not done a video on that, but a friend has done some mods to his standard to up the velocity. Here is a link to his channel, look through the videos about the AIraCuda. m.ua-cam.com/video/wtpetzcWXno/v-deo.html

Travis Whitney did a video about how to remove the barrel. Linked below, You can use a small dental pick to remove the oring once the barrel and thimble is removed. You may be able to do it without removing the barrel, but that is the easiest way as it gives you more room to work. ua-cam.com/video/dQhfKADriqU/v-deo.html
Very nice video that does and excellent job covering the differences between the Standard and Max.
very nice and straight forward and no annoying background music
Thank you, I don’t like the background “music” either….
@@ForgottenAirguns-fo3uq no problem

Great video. Do you have the OD and ID of the fill tube on the Standard to check if an aftermarket regulator can be fitted?
Thanks,
Joe
Good info. Are both triggers 1 or 2 stage? Adjustable, and to what point?

Cubic in of each air tube?
Hi could you please make a video on the max barrel removal for re-seal.
Removing the barrel only gives you access to the breech seal oring that is just inside the brass thimble.
What part are you trying to reseal?
Love the vid. I'm looking for the rifle exploded diagram. I was on jts website
