Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- The Eversense CGM is implanted in a users' arm, lasts for 180-days, and sends glucose readings to your phone or smart watch. I interviewed the CEO of Senseonics and Eversense user, Chris Ruden, about the device.

If they can bring to market the once a year, implant, no transmitter... that WILL be game changing!
I've been wanting this all year, but my doctor said it's still not available. Maybe I'll wait a few years, though, because currently my dexcom is painless, quick, & easy. I also wouldn't want to be woken up all night by arm vibration alarms they mentioned in this interview
The vibrations prevent severe hypoglycemic episodes that may occur at night and cause seizures or serious episodes.
It’s available. I have had Eversense for over 5 years. 🤷♀️
@@diannemattiace6887any market place can buy it ?
I’m so happy I switched to this! Unfortunately I don’t wake up to the vibration or sound. I sleep very deep. I’ve been within 1 point many many times. Accuracy is amazing.
love the video man ❤
I have type one also. I’m glad there’s a channel that I can go to and relate with ❤
Love my Eversense! So accurate and easy to use. ❤️
Love that
Great technology, however, I couldn’t get it covered by Anthem because they consider it an “experimental therapy “. Eversense needs to work closer with insurance companies so more people can utilize this amazing tech.
All I got back from them when I inquired was my insurance doesn't cover it. I'm with united healthcare. They are paying for my Medtronic insulin pump with a CGM.
Anthem now covers it in most states and United Healthcare will
cover it starting 7/1/2023
@@DiabetesDoc I wonder if everyone with United healthcare will have it covered or if it will depend on which specific plan you are on. I just saw something on tv about how bad it is now with many health insurance companies turning everything into a pre-authorization situation and causing hassles and delays for the patients and the doctors. Why is there not more regulation of the private health insurance companies by the government? Not all doctors will put the extra time in to challenge an initial denial unfortunately. My Medtronic system was denied initially but my endocrinologist followed up on it and I got it.
how about HAP? do they cover yet?
Great info! Thanks so much❤❤❤
Do insurance companies cover this product?
Most insurances in the United States cover it, including Medicare, blue cross, and United healthcare
Aetna has paid for mine forever!
Pump designation approved
I love how all these companies are competing to make their products better, but at the same time I'm mind boggled by the lack of simple integration like displaying your CGM data on a smartwatch or Android Auto. Taking a long drive with diabetes is not something that's talked about often, but it's a real issue. Having my CGM data displayed on my car infotainment screen would be the real game changer for me.
THIS!
I have alot of health conditions but one of them causes extream sweat and my libre 3 i put in yesterday just fell off and cause of skin allergies and its unbareable im soooo frustrated i hope i can get this soon diabetes is hell
Oh wow, this could be a good option for you...
Call Abbott and they will next day you a new sensor and give you a box to send back your old one for free.
I love the idea of a more accurate CGM.
Honestly this is the first time I heard someone say it’s more accurate than standard cgm’s 🤔🤔 they’ve always been among the least accurate but this might be a new model.
Agree. And most important of all is being compatible with a good closed loop hybrid pump system. Without the pump keeping your blood sugars at a healthy level, it doesn't really matter if you know exactly what they are.
can we get this in the UK
This cgm is the future, but may get bought out....😅 when it becomes big
Good Morning, I have Type 2 Diabetes and use Medication, I am on Metformin and others. Can I use Eversense and I also live in the UK. Thank you.
This feels like a commercial. Only the pros are mentioned and non of the cons. For example, unlike the best selling CGM's, Eversense still requires daily finger pricks. If given the choice of pricking your finger every day vs. not having to...which would you choose? That is one reason this device is not the game changer that it should be. If they can get FDA approval of the 365 day implant, and also figure out how to eliminate finger pricks, then Eversense will likely become more popular.
I did not know that!
Still better than having to prick 3 times a day
Very very ugeful if price is offerabl, it will be huge required and huge demand, game changer
Great product. Stock is not goodnow
android AND apple app?
Yep..."eversense"
