This is such a hopeful and helpful video for the diabetic community. I appreciate you bringing this to us, please keep up your important work . This is amazing and encouraging news to me.
Well asides from comments more worried about the type of phone they have this is a very interesting development. It would be interesting to see how the clinical cost of implant and removal for the 365 day version compares to the monthly supply of devices such as Dexcom or Libre - particularly for NHS CCG’s, and it is about time these companies think about taking the phone out of the equation, using a phone to configure is fine and gathering readings is pretty normal but many of us either do things away from a phone or can’t keep a phone with us whilst at work.
All these upcoming GCM systems are wonderful, I am current Dexcom G6 user for the reason that it integrates with my Insulin pump providing me the auto "artificial pancreas" technology. As our pumps advance, we need to be able to have the GCM options out there integrate with them. I HATE having to pick and choose systems. But the "artificial pancreas" technology is so important especially for better "SUPER" control and prolonged longevity. We need to work in creating a "standard" where any/all GCMs integrate with any/all pumps. Lots of work ahead, I get it BUT I am hopeful we will get there. After all, this is a human right to want to live/survive and not be looked at with value $$. Life should not have a price tag attached to it.

This is amazing. What a great man and CEO for bringing this technology and discovery to type 1 diabetics. I liken him to Frederick Banting, Charles Best, and James Collin. I will be talking to my endocrinologist about this technology.
Should have asked Tim.. so if they are removing the transmitter from 365.. how will they continue to support on body vibe alerts? That is a valuable feature.
Another question I would have asked would have been about concerns regarding potential competition from smart watches offering optical CGM such as Apple Watch.
It's brilliant, you just need to work as hard on access as you do on the tech - no point having this stuff when consultants are terrified to allow people to try something new. One question I might have asked Rob is.. is there any inherent conflict of interest with them selling traditional glucose monitoring products versus CGMs? Or is that a silly question? Also I’m wondering if they are thinking about battery life monitoring for the 365 day product. With pacemakers the device informs the doctor how much battery life is left. I think that is critical for a life saving product. I assume they are considering that. One would hope. Thanks for the video. Very well done.
