@@divinebeauty2070 hi, the salary is very well! I'm also in the insurance industry. Its easy work (to me) some days I'm twiddling my thumbs then sometimes I'm working start to finish but I'm never overwhelmed and stressed like my other jobs

I work for a health insurance company and recently applied for an associate compliance analyst position with my current department. I received and accepted the offer! I am excited as this is a new career path for me. I don't have experience in compliance per se, but had transferrable skills and a great reputation with my department, and I think that is what made me stand out.

what's the salary like? and can you speak more on AML analysts? idky i saw a tiktok saying you can grow into an aml career from being a cashier but idk if that's true or not. Also how often do you actually make busts and have they always resulted in the party having legal trouble, and what was your first bust like? also that CON sounds absolutely terrifying... could u actually face jail time over honest mistakes?? its not simply a firing? thanks for the great video

I am waiting for a response for a big Investment Banking company for Compliance Analyst role. I was dreaming of working there however I was kinda feeling insecure that I might not be suitable candidate, or whom I was to work there etc.
Anyways, now I am waiting their response and hoping to start there by the 1st of July, 2022. I hope to get this job I really want to prove myself there, but God knows.. Thank you for such informative video! You guys have given me positive vibes! xx

This video was so helpful!! I am wanting to move careers to compliance (have 6-7 years of HR and studied hospitality O_O) and I thought AML might be good? Would you recommend studying/completing an ICA Certificate or ACAMs for AML?
I work for a large bank. When people apply, a CAMS certificate is a virtual guarantee of getting hired.

As a person who is 12+ years in compliance, you'd be surprised how many people have been in compliance 20 years and have no idea what they're doing.
If you can do minimal analysis and can think outside of the box a but, 5 years you can be at 70k. If you're really good 100k isn't unheard-of.
Especially with covid, there are so many remote jobs. I even work 2nd and 4rd jobs because there is such a demand for it.

Regulatory compliance describes the goal that organizations aspire to achieve in their efforts to ensure that they are aware of and take steps to comply with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.

Maybe UK is diffrent, but in the EU landing a junior compliance job requires zero experience.
I agree, I don’t believe it does but the market is just extremely competitive so perhaps employers favour those with experience - at that point it’s best to go in prepared with a skilled base CV and a smile that they can’t deny 🤣
I have a public health degree do you see a relation with that and compliance, I have an interview for a compliance associate job Tuesday
Hey a good tip is to talk about your experience from a skills based perspective if you don’t have any relevant industry experience - so where your degree may not be relevant it doesn’t matter. What skills you’ve developed that will help you be great at the role that does
Have a look at the job description and marry your skills/experience with it - they may hardly ask you about your degree because compliance is not a role that requires a specific one

Hi ladies. I have a question. What degree do you need to go into compliance?
A CAMS certificate (and to a lesser extent CFE) will get you into an AML/BSA job a lot faster for a lot less money than any degree. Accounting and Criminal Justice degrees would be the best degrees, but a CAMS or CFE would only cost about $1500 and take a couple months.
Hey as far as I'm aware not degree in particular will make you more eligible but I am not best placed to answer... Everyone I know that works in compliance done a finance/econ related degree.

Find people who are working at the company you want to work for with a career you would like to pursue.
Send them a friendly message and set up a call.
I would find anywhere between 3-6 people because you want to find the right person and someone you genuinely connect with. This is what we done and worked best for us ❤️

There’s no course you have to do for compliance. If you mean university degrees, Nicole studied Financial Economics ☺️

Salaries in finance vary from firm to firm and what team you sit in (There are many different types of Compliance) but you can definitely earn above the avg salary in London working in Compliance
