Hi Setu! so I normally keep the pie base in the oven at about 160 degrees celsius? im not too sure what the farenheit is and for about 50mins or until it has browned / baked right through

Veni have you ever watched, In the Kitchen with Gina Young? She makes a "Hawaiian dream cake". I'm Hawaiian no disrespect but it's only called that cuz of the crushed pineapples🍍. Lol. Shes amazing n has an adorable voice n recipes in her description. Maybe make that cake w/a Sāmoan flare but using natural stuff like from scratch as you usually do (maybe all except cool whip topping but even that is sugar,gelatin n egg whites + alot of chemicals to stablize it but your way is best). You really should be in culinary school!! Alot of food is made fr scratch not totally processed, over-processrd, ultra-processed like in the stores these days. So fake! You're the real deal!! I wish you luck!! Chef Veni.
Hi Jim, i bake the pastry first- once baked, cool and add the custard. Then add the meringue and bake until brown. You can most definitely leave the base to cool and then add custard and brown the meringue - whichever is easier for you

Hi Apii, so in this recipe i did 6 eggs separated. But you can start with 3 if you don't want your base too moist. It is just to bind the ingredients together. Let me know how you go. I will be doing another pie recipe soon with a different base recipe too so stay tuned
