- It was a record-setting event this year, despite the local high school football game and all the rain. Over three nights, 867 guests contributed $430 cash and 533 food items to our charity of choice, Metrocrest Services. Thank you to everyone- family, friends, neighbors, and all our guests for making it three fun nights.
I have no words...ok yes I do. Your freaking awesome. Your haunt and walk through is definitely one of the bests out there. Your cemetery is so realistic and the details and lighting is spectacular. I have to watch this again just to see your genius. Thanks for the video and congrats on your turnout this year but why wouldn't people want to see your haunt. Looking forward to next year. Thanks so much! After 8 years, I think I finally caught up to the original vision. And it's funny, I find it all to be one big accident. I have no particular skills other than stubborn determination. I wanted a neighborhood Disney World Haunted Mansion and I built it one idea, one problem resolution, and one prop at a time. I'm actually quite amazed myself. It's honestly difficult to read such praise because I don't think I realize exactly what I have done. Oh, Lordy, what am I going to do for next year?

Hey, thanks! I'll probably do something completely different next year. I'm considering not having the walkthrough haunt, but rather make a "show" out of the cemetery. After 8 years of intense building, it's really hard to top the previous year, not to mention expensive. Keeping it fresh may just mean starting over. 'Glad you enjoyed the vids. I show just enough to get viewers to start thinking "Hey, I can do that!" or "What if I...?" I just watched yours and, wow, that's quite the enterprise you have going. Subbed ya. Great turnout and two thumbs up on raising donations. Where are you located?
Hawthorne Manor Haunted House Thank you! We are located in Minooka, IL. It’s near Chicago! I think a graveyard shoe thing would be cool! Either way Walkthrough or not can’t wait to see what you do! But you’ve inspired me to do my own take on a Manor type theme for 2019!!

Oh God, I would love to. I sold everything, so I would have to start all over. I really miss it. I just have other priorities in life now. But damn it sure was cool.
@Hawthorne Manor Haunted House you really inspired me to make my own haunt and I have always looked up to you as a haunter. Not to bug you or anything, but I really want to know how you made your manor and chop shop panels?
Haunter's Inc. That’s cool, thanks. That’s why. I made the videos. I have a video on making cloth panels. Don’t add the cloth. Buy cheap paneling or 1/8” plywood and attach it. Add burlap or wallpaper to decorate. Light and thin is the objective. They can get heavy. Punch holes with a hammer and rough up the edges of the hole to make it look beat up. Bam! That easy!

Where did you get the recording for the grave digger?
“Tekky Toys Animated Gravedigger”. I found a UA-cam video and recorded the audio. It was too good not to steal.

That’s what I did. Is it a copyright violation? Maybe. I’m not an attorney. I guess the manufacturer could ask that you remove the audio from your prop or any UA-cam video. I think the risk is low. If you are concerned, a safe thing to do would be to write down the words and record yourself reciting them. Hmmm, that would be fun. Anyway, it is a great dialog.
