Hi ! I'm thinking to get one for playing wah pedal, looper and of course effects :) Is there any alternatife for this price ? It seems best for the price. Do you suggest, is there any downside ?
@@talhamerttufan7140 I don't know about alternatives but it is amazing value for money, even compared to the cost of just one Boss effects pedal... And the small size is great for not taking up much space. Highly recommended! The major downside is it is a bit clunky to use live and needs more messing around in the menus and settings compared to a bigger multi-effects pedalboard that has maybe 5 individual patch pedals, instead of just the "up" and "down" pedal of the G1X. Zoom G3 (1st gen) is total bad ass! 32 bit and they nailed the tube sim on the amps. Lots of tweeking but the results are astounding at $170 that I paid. Put it side by side test w/ a TS808 and Boss Ch-1 and thy nailed those two. Has a ENGL Invader 150 that is bad ass and a Krank Rev 1+ that is out of production that is sweet also.
Just want to point out that all the cabinet simulations (like the marshall one you were testing in the beginning) are turned off by default, even if they show up in the effects chain. I don't understand this design -- but anyhow the way to fix it is go into the cab parameters and turn "mic" to "on".

They are far better than their reputation, even the old zoom 505 was quite good for its price. I still use mine for practising at home with low volumes.
I have one of these, I love it. Lately I've used it to dial in A. a halfway decent David Gilmour lead tone B. A spot on Flock of Seagulls Delay sound and C. a Love and Rockets fuzzed out overdrive buzzsaw sound. Once you can edit your own pedal board and patches you're good. The presets are ok. I used the Fuzz overdrive one to play some Smashing Pumpkins "Cherub Rock." I had to turn the gain on my Vox amp down a lot because the preset was so gonzo, but you can adjust that too. For the money I paid it's worth the money for messing around at home. The "Barracuda" preset is such fun, too. I don't like that it doesn't have an on/off switch, but the batteries last a while unless you use it all day long. The expression pedal is ok. It's weird, my Vox VX50 amp has at least three high gain models built-in, they're not bad.
100 bucks is worth considerably less than when I first started out and this sounds tons better than I could have bought back then for this price. This unit would have cost $250 when I first started and I still could not have gotten anything this good for even that price. Sure it is transistor and digital. At least it doesn't have a buzz saw or even worse, a thin, crackling tone! Excellent for a beginner or a home jam unit!

Looks cheap but sounds good. I like that it has knobs and a pedal. I honestly didn't know if Zoom was still around. I used to use a 1010 i bought in the late '90s and ran thru a red stripe Peavey SP112 i paid $150 for in '03.. This could cover alot of ground.
I have a zoom 505 which I still use. The 505 was the first digital effects processor made. It still kicks ass. I'm thinking of buying this one coz it has the pedal n honestly the 505 is an old friend who needs to semi retire. Over the yrs I've soldered the Jack's when they got loose. I used it live a lot until I quit music a few yrs back. I also had 2 zoom 8080s I used to use but I sold those. I held onto to The 505 coz it's historical.
Hey cool video. Helpful while as I’m planing to buy this effect from zoom. Just a quick suggestion though, could you fiddle around before you make the video? Was kind of lost for first few minutes as you guys were figuring out as well. I mean it’s not an invoking video is it. Cheers
Thanks to Ola i manage to get a nice Chug from my Zoom g1 four and my Orange 35LDX. Didnt think it was possible and i was so close to order a new pedal. Now i can unlease Hell :)
Honestly for what it costs, this thing is pretty damn good. Obviously you won't record an album with it, but for beginners it seems really good. I mean when i started playing these multieffects were just... well... i just say Digitech. :D
It’s a pretty versatile little machine. You can mix effects and create your own patches etc. I looked around UA-cam and was able to create the effects of my favorite guitar players, some others I made them myself.
I cant remember what its called pretty sure it was the zoom g1xon? I got one of these instead of a new amp when it was time for me to get my second amp. And i loved it. Used to hook it in the bluetooth speakers or the home stereo and it rocked for what i wanted. Still miss it. Remember the rectifier sound was pretty good if my memory serves me correctly. But, now i have a pod hd. Really hard for me to find good sounds out of it. Go for my normal amps played quietly every time.
That is the Ultimate Challenge for ANY Pro guitarist, to make a cheap Line 6 amp sound good! LMAO After all, it is not the gear right? It is ALL in the hands. SUURREE!!
Good piece of gear for a beginner player to have at home for different tones and just having fun but that's where it stops. Cool video though and good review.
I have the Zoom G1Xon, it was super cheap but it only has 1 high gain amp that doesn't sound like shit. It also needs new batteries after a couple of hours of playing and it gets super noisy when i power it over USB.
I have the G1Xon. Paid maybe 50 bucks for it new. It's a lot of fun. Great for traveling. You can get decent tones from it. Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done. I like the changes they've made for this version. Looks easier to activate the looper, which is the reason I got mine in the first place.

Bandit 112 with a overdrive as a boost in front of it. Is the king of budget amp
@Return of the Native i use mine in a death metal band, maybe you got a lemon??
@Return of the Native Bandit 112's are perfectly useable. If you 'bought one and threw it out the window' all you've really done is demonstrate what a goof you are.
I have a helix and the zoom stuff routinely impresses me. if I were on a budget and needed to save money you'd be hard pressed to find a better option
If Zoom would go to 48kHz signal processing sampling rate they could literally steal the market!
Maybe this is the best Ola’s video ever. Truly! Enjoyed so much 🤘🏻
I got one awhile back, to me it sounds way better than my nux-300, job while done zoom
What was the song he’s playing at 4:50?
Ain't talk about love - van halen
Sounds decent tbh.
Better than alot of high end stuff.
Used to love my zoom g9.2tt with dual tubes and 2 in 1 exp pedal
4:40 Pheriphery - Icarus Live
I love your channel lmao. Didn't expect to randomly see your comment
OMGOMG IM BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. HELL YEAH OLAAAA
Will the new purple body come on a type E? That would be amazing.
Hey cool video. Helpful while as I’m planing to buy this effect from zoom. Just a quick suggestion though, could you fiddle around before you make the video? Was kind of lost for first few minutes as you guys were figuring out as well. I mean it’s not an invoking video is it.
Cheers
Your paying friend finally spoke!!
I know ppl shit a lot on these pedals but a Zoom pedal and a Fender Squier was how I started at 13, this bring back some memories
That sounds oddly good for the price. Zoom has somehow done it again
Thanks to Ola i manage to get a nice Chug from my Zoom g1 four and my Orange 35LDX. Didnt think it was possible and i was so close to order a new pedal. Now i can unlease Hell :)
7:21 when you accidentally discover the sound of Immortal.
Will anything chug if you don’t figure out how to use it first?
I want to see a best of budget chugs video, that'd be dope!
Sort of OK? It blews my mind how great some of the presets sounds! Wow
Ahahahah I lost it at Black Betty. Also this sounds way better than the last Zoom product I used a million years ago in high school.
I laughed out loud at Black Betty!
this sounds way better than I ever would've thought
Please do the Boss GT-1
He has done Mooer GE200 already: ua-cam.com/video/JGgbKy_SMfc/v-deo.html
Zoom products are really famous here in Brazil, for being good value.
Do the old DOD Thrashmaster pedal. The pink one!
I used to have zoom g1xon and I actually gigged with it lol. It did the job.
Have you done "Will it chug?" with Line 6 Spider?
That is the Ultimate Challenge for ANY Pro guitarist, to make a cheap Line 6 amp sound good! LMAO After all, it is not the gear right? It is ALL in the hands. SUURREE!!
Just got 3 of them last week. And love its very much.
G1 Four, G1X Four, and B1X Four (Bass)..
Ola how about the Boss Me 80? have not seen to much chugging about it. !!??
I like this guest dude. He’s chill
Nothing like reading the instructions.
Right? Lol. I like Ola but damn dude tou cant just start twiddling knobs on a multi FX box
This was allot of fun guys, thank you !
Good piece of gear for a beginner player to have at home for different tones and just having fun but that's where it stops. Cool video though and good review.
haha you sound like you are a lot of fun at partys , can you please tell me everything else i am doing wrong in my life ?
@@peteytwofinger go by a fortune cookie it can help you for sure.
I have the Zoom G1Xon, it was super cheap but it only has 1 high gain amp that doesn't sound like shit. It also needs new batteries after a couple of hours of playing and it gets super noisy when i power it over USB.
slap_my_hand totally agree . Mine is in mint condition (cos it lives in its box 📦😂)
I have one too, but only for practicing. About the battery I bought rechargeable ones, so all good.
ELVISFX so funny . I’m exactly the same with the rechargeable batteries 🔋
That's the difference between a pro & an amateur. Ola instantly recognising that there's a cab simulation going on.
At 100$ though it would not be waste to get two and hook them together.
