oh, so this is the guy who named the 3ds family.
I tried so hard to get my friends with DSi handhelds to get this software. They never listen to me. Then they buy a new 3DS and complain they lost all their old software.

Question: The Nintendo DSi shop is closing down on March 31st 2017. Not that this is going to happen to me but how will people download the tool after the shop closes?
Edit: It appears that it will be the only app that will be still be available.

@@AnthonyZ. Oh yes! On top of safeguarding our software investments, we got Save Sync which I use frequently between my Switch (OLED) and Switch Lite.
Reminds me of the time I transferred all Wii data into my Wii U system.

Yet we can't transfer from Wii to Wii or DSi to DSi! I broke my white Wii and bought a black Wii and I found out I couldn't transfer my downloads or Super Smash Bros. Brawl! I'm outraged! A PS3 and XBOX 360 can do this why can't your system Nintendo. Thumbs up so Nintendo can make a Wii Transfer Tool and upgrade the 3DS Transfer tool so we can transfer from DSi to DSi. Because honestly DSi games look like poop on the 3DS and I wan't to play my downloads on my beautiful DSi XL! Thumbs up please!

It's costs less now that it's 2012. It costs around $100. In 2011 It costed around $200.

When you transfer your DSi's photos to the 3DS, does it delete every photos you token with the 3DS? Is there some way to save the photos if it does delete them?
and lastly, when you transfer your DSi's stuff, does it delete ANYTHING off the 3DS (other then photos) and if so, how do you save them?

I don't know. I never checked the DSI prices. But, I do have a DS. But, the screen is starting to break.
I've seen people say some mean stuff about Nintendo a lot, but that was just utterly stupid.

All eShop content for the 3DS is nowadays dependent on a Nintendo Network ID, which locks you into the target system for now to eternity.
And by no means buying a DSi preloaded with all DSiWare is an easy feat unless you're really wealthy!

The DSi shop doesn't close until March 31st this year. You just can't buy points. And the transfer tool is for free so download it before it shuts down.
Then can you just now transfer the DSi game on the 3DS to a New 3DS / New 3DS XL?
