This game is really fun! I got it pre-downloaded with my old 2DS so ever since then its been in my NNID. It controls solid, has some great level design, fun co-op, great accessibility, and the star coin hunting is more fun than ever or any NSMB game after it.
I got a 2ds too and this is the most nostalgic game for me

The funniest thing I see on the backs of game covers like this is when they say "Can you collect a million coins?" when you already did it.
The game looks much like the old New Super Mario Bros. games but with a heavy emphasis on the coins as the trailer points out. It's an interesting gimmick seeing the many powerups and objects that can make tons of coins appear. This carries on even to social aspects where coin recordings can be tracked and a grand total of every coin collected. While I used to collect every coin in Mario when I was young; this seems overwhelming to clean the entire level. Cool idea though, can't beat coins.

I have a feeling this is gonna be like super Mario bros. 2. It's not your average Mario game and it'll receive more criticism than Mario normally does, but it'll become a fan-favorite after a few years.

I kind of wonder, how does the co-op mode work? will it has the same story mode with 1 player only or will it have a different story mode so the file between the 1 player and co-op mode is different? and also in co-op mode, how can we play together when the progress between player 1 and 2 is different?

Gold Mario is Only found once in the game. It's in an underground desert level.

Yeah I got one, but the litteraly, the only games I've for it are OoT 3D, and Pac-Man/Galaga.

No it was released on the 28th of July in Japan....
since every level yields about 200 coins or more, then it will take about 5000 runs of a level or less to obtain 1000k coins

That wins on co-op multiplayer. I'm more into your Paper Adventure and Luigi's since you had the spotlight last year. Give Luigi a chance he hasn't had his own game for like 11 years. Another question. Is there a paper version that's seperate from you? Or do you turn into paper mario when you're in that series?

I think the first DLC will be Wario, this is just a guess, but the game is based around coins, and in an interview Iwata said "If we were going to add a character of level to the game, we wouldn't save it for DLC." Plus Wario Land was just released on the virtual console. This is just a guess, but I really wish it were true!

If you ask me, they need to make those DLC levels they hinted available for purchase, but with the all coins you get in the game rather than real money. After all, what else are gonna do with all those coins?
