Oh, I don’t normally like these older airstreams so I am your biggest critic. However, when I see what you have done with this camper, I am absolutely impressed and blown away. It is absolutely gorgeous. Well done beautiful, appointments not overdone, and just enough patina! Very nicely done. And you have a nice bright but neutral backdrop so anytime you want to add color you’ve got it made, just a few items here and there for some pop and you can go from calm, relaxing to wow pizzazz. And I haven’t even begun to mention your attention for detail. You have a talent to know where to look, where to make improvements, and where to leave it alone.
Wow, you guys should really be proud of yourselves because this is STUNNING. I'm completely obsessed. Good job! I love the colors. Greetings from Brazil. Obrigada!
This is stunning. Its like what i would want in my beautiful simple Italian home. PLEASE ADVISE -- i need to replace my bamboo vessel sink in my bathroom. May I ask where you found your gorgeous batheoom vessel sink.
Beautiful work and lovely walk-thru! I was wondering about clothing storage? I didn't see a closet. Are the cabinets nearest the bed large enough for clothing for a couple weeks? Thanks.
Thank you! There is no closet, there are cabinets above the bed, and the entire space under the queen bed is open. We intentionally also left the hall space under the bed open so a bin or suitcase can easily slide in and out. We also have some hooks on the wall to hang garments, but it would also be easy to install a rod for hangers under the cabinets. In addition, hangers could be hung on the shower rod as we have seen others do. A couple weeks of clothes, easy!
I am very impressed with the paint and finish on the walls. at "21:59" where the wall meets the ceiling, what did you use to join that in such a seamless manner? I also love the spice cubby with its rounded corners! Thank you for the detailed walk-through!
It's a perfectly comfortable sleeping arrangement until you roll over and your hip and shoulder slides right down into that pillow split. I love the redo but we have got to come up with better ideas for combination sofa sleepers, or over the cab sleeping... Dinette sleeping... Anywhere that we have to Tetris a bunch of cubes together to sleep on. They always come together in the worst places and we all know they never stay together. Not everyone has the space to carry an over-the-top egg crate or mattress topper to keep everything together and rarely does a regular fitted sheet work because they're never the right size.
You could use a topper and store it under the main bed? A self-inflating air mattress won't stay put either longterm I suspect, and not sure they offer it in this size - but that would be more space saving. Wish the shower was a bit bigger - maybe if the toilet was next to it, but movable when showering?
This is not a "restoration", its a _remodel._ I wished people would understand the difference. I just absolutely _hate_ seeing vintage trailers/motor coaches completely destroyed like this and if you knew the difference, i would bypass it and not have to look at it. And just because the exterior is still original, doesnt make it vintage. The whole thing, inside and out, has to be original. This generation is destroying my generations history. Conpletely deleting us and our past. 😠
It’s a restomod, which is what we do. But using restoration in the title gets more clicks, because for most people, it doesn’t make a difference and it’s the more commonly used word, misused or not. Your entire comment is absurd beyond that. They’re not destroyed, we take something that was destroyed by “your generation” and make it into something much stronger and suitable for the next generation and the generation after that.
Nonsense… If Airstream had had modern technology -lightweight solar panels, inverter chargers, lithium batteries, etc.- available in 1960, *they happily would have used them.* Without modern upgrades, most of these beautiful campers would end up rotting in junkyards. Kudos to these young people for putting hard work and creativity into giving them new life! They are not “deleting the past,” but helping to save parts of it. I’m nearing 70 and would be thrilled to have one of these refashioned gems! Life must be difficult when you take offense this easily.
Best airstream/van/rv reno I’ve seen on UA-cam yet. Beautiful interior and great attention to detail.

This is cool, but I was searching for a restored airsteam. This is what I would call a new build.
Looooove that paint colour/texture is that a plaster or textured paint?
It’s just regular flat latex paint, there are two tones applied with one broad brush in a loose X stroke to give a sense of “plaster like” depth
super
❣️❣️❣️
Beautiful streamer. What kind/brand of boots are you wearing? lol

It’s in the video! 10 gallons black storage with standard hookups, sewer hose & stands provided.
I guess you stand at the counter to eat or sit kind of cross legged on the couch with a tray?
