Indeed, as you have just noticed, the time it took is quite substantial given the angle of the climb. The TC ECU tries different algorithm scenarios one by one until it finds the correct braking pulse intervals needed for the current situation.
Also look at 7:20 to 7:26 where the TC ended up on its limit. Because the right rear wheel was stuck in a deep crevice
Finally, the best demonstration is at 8:00 and illustrates well how the TC transfers energy to the wheels having the best contact with the ground.

The Freelander is fitted with an auto gearbox
