      @@NinaMoyer87 hey unfortunately I don’t. Losing my precious memories is part of the reason why my sister pays for storage (and I just use it). Perhaps if you can get it on then you can use a USB C to USB C cord and see if you can transfer it to a computer but if it won’t go on idk how to help. But if you find a way please let me know. Best of luck

    Mine is randomly powering down. Some days it only happens a few times, sometimes it happens repeatedly. On a few occasions it has taken multiple attempts to get it to turn back on. Two times the screen has gone all scrambled and frozen and then shut off (It is possible this happens more frequently, 90% of the time I take it out of my pocket, it has been shut off for some time). I tried a factory reset. I took it to the repair guys and they were worthless (all they did was test the battery and it passed, but it shut off twice while I was standing there - they did order me another battery yet to arrive). It has been dropped a few times but it has an otterbox case, and none severe. I am convinced this is hardware issue but I am not skilled enough to make that distinction myself. What do you suggest?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому

      It's possible it may be the battery or possibly even damage to the board somewhere. A bad solder point or overheating from the processor etc could cause issues as well. It's hard to diagnose. But first thing I would look into replacing would be the battery and see how it runs from there.

    Can you remove the battery without the motherboards and such? im newer to phone repair, and am looking for a phone for myself which will last the test of time, and is easy to replace the battery. I have looked at phones with removable batteries but tmobile doesnt cover the one i want, so this is looking like a good option! to replace just the battery would i only need to remove the plate and the 16 screws?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 роки тому

      Hi, yes you would need to only remove the back plate/battery door, and then the screws and remove the back housing then disconnect the battery cable and the flex cable that connects the main board to the sub board on bottom (since its covering the battery), and you would be able to use isopropyl alcohol to get a few drops around the sides of the battery to loosen up the adhesive underneath so you can pry it off easier. Here is a link to the isopropyl alcohol www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iFixit-Adhesive-Remover/IF145-400?o=4

    I got a Galaxy A32 with a 3rd Party display that got installed as the original one suffered water damaged.
    After a recent software update the digitizer stopped working entirely, while the LCD still works. Ive tried flashing older firmware onto the device, but that did not fix the issue.
    Any plausible reason why the digitizer would just stop working putnof the blue?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Рік тому

      It has happened to me before but with a motorola phone with an original display replacement. I had to update the software to the newest firmware for it to start working. Make sure your firmware is on the latest firmware and it should work, if not then their might be something with the firmware reading the chip on the display you have.

    Hi just seen your video, Ive just purchased another A32 so that I can change the motherboard from my old A32 which I walked into the sea with, I thought I would change the mother board as a straight swap, what were the bits you took off the old motherboard, i am just swapping the two motherboards to retrieve all my photos and videos etc, is this ok you think?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  6 місяців тому

      what bits? all depends on if your board is working or not. If it is damaged from water, then it won't work in a new screen/housing either and your info is stored on your board.

      The ROM is soldered to the motherboard under one of the covered shields. It would require a specialty repair shop which has soldering knowledge to be able to de solder and remove the ROM and move it over to another board, but wouldn't be cheap.

I tryed to do a factory reset and that done nothing to repair it, it still overheats too much even if you talk at the phone or if you just keep it on. Probably the housing is damaged so the back housing where the antenna flex is, is either torn, damaged, or not seated anymore in the correct position for it to touch and make contact with the contact points on the boards to receive signal. Make sure the back housing is clicked and seated in place, or if its broken or cracked in a way that it wont stay in place, you may need to replace the back housing or mid frame of the phone.

      Hi, not sure. With water damage its tricky. If someone looked and they cleaned off all the corrosion around the chips and connectors and still does that, it might either be a defective display or the connector on the board is damaged or the display/touch chip. Hard to diagnose.

      Hi, first thing to do is to not attempt to use the phone or power it on until you are able to take it apart and disconnect the battery and dry out any liquid internally. Next you need to brush off any corrosion inside around chips or connectors with a tooth brush or small brush to prevent any shorting or permanent damage. Then you can re assemble the phone and power it on to see if it will work. If not, it could be a screen that went bad that needs to be replaced or it can be damage to the main board which might not be repairable.

    I actually own the galaxy a32 as a daily driver phone for two reasons im 16 and need a phone and number two I just need one that can play decent games make phone calls extra a third reason is just because of how cheap it was I mean come on who can beat 300 bucks sure its alittle pricey but new in the box that is somewhat reasonable anyways after a full week of review from me I say if you want to teach your kids responsibility go for it this phone is perfect now to be honest when I looked at him tear down the phone it looked cheap as shit like bare minimum but for me now that I look at it its really not that cheap it has a decent processor but it lacks just even opening Spotify which takes a good 3 to atleast 2 minutes everything else games and discord calls snapchat is fine but my biggest annoyance is when your playing a game and you go to exit said game and see the phone lag as all hell for atleast 3 or 4 seconds now this phone isn't god awful compared to a few other phones but if im being honest a iphone 6 is happily better and more preferred over the a32 even a standard iphone 5 would for sure beat this thing at almost everything now I know its a big claim but I feel like Samsung has just lost their magic touch quite literally I think its an ok phone but if you expect any game performance just buy one of the note series Samsung phone like the note 9 or 10 any of those models cam atleast support decent gameplay at best and for gods sake this is a 5g phone I know we expect better or decent for 300 dollars but I quite literally just suggested the Samsung note series over this thing and its the same company so what can I say to end my final words here just we are not ready for the 5g future yet and Samsung dipped it toes in and that's fine hopefully the a33 or newer updated model of the a32 is better I want to see if they make the a32 improvements im looking for anyways yea its better off just being a normal flip phone with Wi-Fi not much else to it

      ya, probably more cost efficient for them than to completely redesign them. The a52 is somewhat similar but doesn't have the removable back housing and also has a copper heat pipe instead of a 3D layer of graphite. Will upload the video of that tomorrow.

      not sure, depends how much gets inside. You would need to take it apart and dry out any liquid inside and brush off corrosion on any chips or connectors.

      You would need to take it apart, dry out any water inside and use a small brush to brush off any corrosion on connectors or chips and re assemble it to see if it will work. If not, you would have to replace the screen considering the board is not damaged.

    It's so disappointing that these smartphone makers or companies are purposely making it HARDER to even change the battery of the smartphone...
    I had a Samsung Galaxy j7 that accidentally fell on the floor from around 5 feet high drop and it landed on the protective cover so all it had was a scratch on the protective plastic... however the phone refused to turn on.
    I got home plugged to charge it and it again refused to power on...
    Then I decided to CHANGE the battery and it immediately powered on... this was a Samsung Galaxy J7 Perx model from 2017 and to top it off you could buy aftermarket extended battery power to give you extra hours of useage.
    Again... great video but shame on these greedy companies and the dumb consumers allowing this to happen without any complaints...
    Because that's how they will force you to buy a brand new phone every year if the company feels like it just like the Apple company was doing.

      Thank you. Yep, thinner phones = no removable back plates. People seem to prefer thinner and smaller now a days. I personally wouldn't mind it being slightly thicker but having easier access to battery replacements.

      I mean for the most part, it's an easy phone to take apart. With the use of some isopropyl alcohol or heat, you can loosen the adhesive under the battery to make it easier to pry off.
