His next role was in the 1959 Broadway production of Thomas Wolfe's Look Homeward, Angel. In 1962, Prine was cast in Academy Award-nominated film The Miracle Worker as Helen Keller's older brother James. In 1962, he landed a lead role with Earl Holliman in western rodeo series Wide Country. He worked on many tv shows. Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Virginian, Wagon Train, Dr. Kildare, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, Baretta, Hawaii Five-O, Twelve O'Clock High, and The Bionic Woman to name a few. He played Dr. Richard Kimble's brother Ray in an important first-season episode of The Fugitive. He worked on several western movies like Bandolero! with George Kennedy, James Stewart, Dean Martin, Raquel Welch, Will Geer, Denver Pile, Harry Carey Jr., and Jock Mahoney as Deputy Sheriff Roscoe Bookbinder. He also worked with Dean Martin in the comedy western Texas Across the River. He also had a major role as Alex McSween in Chisum with John Wayne, Ben Johnson, Forrest Tucker, Bruce Cabot and Geoffrey Deuel. In this interview Cheryl and Andrew discuss many of his roles and co-stars. With a wonderful story about John Wayne. This interview was done at the 2010 Lone Pine film festival and was never edited until now. So this is the first release of this for public viewing. Great interview. And there are more to come. Thanks for watching.

*Met Andrew Prine, Pat Wayne, Darby Hinton, and Rob Word at the November Nostalgia Festival in Virginia last November. Not a pretentious bone in any of them, and all around Great people that are willing to take time to chat with. Cheryl, please keep these memory revivals coming. Dale, and Roy are still two of my greatest Role Models, and Heroes. Sure do wish we had more actors like them today, because the world is in desperate need for decency. 😀 and 💯x👍&🙏 for you, yours, and all of us.*

Very interesting and entertaining interview. I loved the shows that Mr. Prine was in. Not too many Western actors left and who will take their place? Thanks for posting.

Hey I'm from Southeast Georgia and I never heard of Jennings Florida I looked it up and it is just south of the Georgia Florida line right next to where i-75 runs from Georgia to Florida so it looks like a small town I don't know I never been there but now I know where it's at
