this is exactly what I'm looking for!. Finally a video of some one making something with the level of tools i already own. not trying to weld in my 1car garage. I'm tired of my weights laying on the floor. Thanks!
Im not trying to be THAT guy, but its not particulary difficult to do. Thats why you will often find people welding things on yt, because it typically looks more impressive, even if they arent that skilled in carpentry. At the end of the day, its literally just a table with a tilted surface. Like what, some wood pillars for legs, a tilted wood table/plank, and then some metal brackets or some wood(like in the video), to keep the dumbells in place. I used a saw and a screwmachine to make mine. Although mine looks like a handicapped vegetable compared to this beautiful work of art, it still works and looks fine. So to future readers of my comment, dont be afraid and give it a go. It doesnt has to be perfect. Remember to add pillars/support in the middle if you plan to make a longer dumbellrack!
Looks like you posted this 1 year ago. Are you still satisfied with the construction? Did any shelf sag at all? I've got 40, 45, 50 & 55lb Dumbbells. I'm thinking of building with this same construction design for them soon.
