A better design for how the grain is dumped from the trucks is to have the trucks go up a ramp (4' should be enough) and onto a platform so all the receiving and conveying action takes place above ground. Then when it rains/snows, the water can drain out onto the ground from the receiving/conveying apparatus.

wonder if you ground the rust off and cover it in like rhino lining/truck bed liner....if it would hold up enough to get through harvest while protecting the metal🤔🤔that way you'd only have to maybe redo do it once a year when you clean out. they make a smooth finish or rough but I'm guessing smooth would chip less in the long run....thinking out loud😊

I think you should have done what most Aussie canola growers do, and windrowed it about a week earlier. Windowing enables you to have a lot less shattering because it is greener when you do it, once it’s windrowed it is very secure from wind and rain damage. Also you can harvest it even when the weather is a lot milder. Great videos

Not likely. We swath canola in Saskatchewan and we have not been able to get it combine till mid November. Where the swather drives over and pushes them right down to the ground on the head lands you lose a bit.

When those canola pods explode when your in the fields with equipment do you have a problem with them reseeding the ground? Also do you plant crop based on what your combine head can do or do you rent the head you need for a particular crop?

I have tried to find traps but have had no luck and I think I am now too late as the moths are now laying eggs. If you have any information on where I can purchase such traps, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
