I hope you know how much you, as a farmer, are appreciated! I love hearing about all you do. Wish I had the endurance you (and Sandi) have! :) Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks so much for bringing us along and explaining farming! So important for regular folks to understand the hard work, risks, and complexity of farming to make good voting choices and thank every farmer we come across!❤
I like listening to you talk about what kinds of soybeans you have and their uses and planting wheat for next spring and with the crop rotation explanations. Not many famers explain the crop rotation on their farms or why like you do. Wife says she likes the American holiday more, because it's in late November.
Good morning Mark nice to see you got your beans in. We grow mostly crusher beans also but not on the scale you grow. About 50 acres and it for our sheep food. The other half is getting antsy about harvesting corn. But it just not ready yet. Have great week Brock family.
Thanks for putting out the videos again Mark. As much as I am interested in Sandy and her flock, I love seeing the grain side of the business and watching those machines work. As a non-farmer I do really enjoy hearing your reasons and explanations for why, how and where it all ends up.
Thank you Mark for sharing the farming practices. The more that is shared the more people know where and what it takes to bring food so much more to the table or household
Sandi mentioned you might be posting soon about the soybean harvest and winter wheat planting so it was a great to see your video in my queue! So glad you can check off the soybeans on the harvest to-do list. I really enjoy learning about all aspects of what you do so I enjoyed your talk about the soybean types, what the seeder is doing when planting, and what troubleshooting you do when the combine gets some type of indigestion. 😄 And so glad you got enough moisture to get a decent yield after such a dry summer. I watch some other farm channels and one of the other farmers refers to his combine as a huge, expensive version of a lawn mower. I hope you can catch up on your rest before corn harvest cranks up. Cheers from here in South Carolina. ❤🚜❤🌾
You're doing a great to keep us informed and reminded of the importance of what you do. Appreciate you for the hard work and for the knowledge of your profession.
I hope at some point you will do a review of the Claas combine and Fendt tractors. I enjoy your videos. Farming is a lot more sophisticated now than when I was farming. The one thing that has not changed is the stress that mother nature puts on farmers.
Thank you Mark! Your work ethic is awesome! I really hope you get to have some well deserved rest this winter. Then again, farmers never rest, they find something else to do, right? Take care and see you next time.
🇨🇦 Great video Mark. I drove the buggy for literally a few minutes before my son took over when they finished their chores. Just for fun I tried to record a video. It’s not easy chatting to a phone 😏
Thank you for your commitment to farming, crops and livestock. My grandparents raised black angus cattle in the Illinois Midwest. I remember the stories of harvest days and nights, feeding the men working the fields to bring in corn and soybeans. My dad used to put me on his shoulders when I was 3 or 4 so I wouldn’t run near the cows. My grandparents had a herding dog like yours, same colors, named Bonnie. Bonnie usually slept in the barn with the livestock. Beautiful videos of your farm along with Sandy’s dear sheep, are a joy to watch at the end of a work day! Thank you !
Your videos are fine do them without stressing over content. I think you help let people know where their food comes from. There are extreme cost and risk just to work as hard as your family does. Family farms are they going to exists in the future.
Mark I love all of your video Imy brother has cattle farm he works it all the time I love you show it all and it seems like you are more at ease and friendly your great
Thanks Mark for all your hard work. General population doesn't realize how much time an planning an weather affects outcome. Man the film at night was like seeing a different person. No sunglasses. Just watching that "teeth" thing turn to collect the soybeans was interesting to watch, can't wait for next video
You two make such a cute couple and work so well together. Great personalities. Neither one of you are afraid of some hard work. Great kids too. You did a fine job with your kiddos. I love your videos. So much appreciation for the farmer.
Mark understand completely on keeping your eyes on the important situation. Too easy for things to go wrong or get busted. For me, I personally thank you for taking the time to explain and share what is going on. I don't think too many people stop and think about how much hard work and time goes into what you do. Bet there were times you were meeting yourself coming and going. I wish we weren't so far apart I would truly love to meet you and Sandi, but Oklahoma is a good distance. So I will be happy with any video you have time for ok, and no need for apologies. Your a farmer who is trying to take care of his farm and family. And it's definitely not a 9-5 job. Take care and best always from this okie gal Rusty. You are top of list that I prefer to watch and Sandi as well. Take care my Friend. See you next time :) 😀 :)
I absolutely appreciate the knowledge you have given a regular person like myself. I knew nothing about farming and fell in love with Sandi and she turned me into a wealth of knowledge on farm life (or atleast wanting to be) NOW that I have your channel I have learned so much of the technical side of farming! THANK YOU FOR TEACHI G ME THE APPRECIATION OF FARM FAMILY DEVOTION!
Hi @Mark love watching you and Sandi and kids in the fields you guys work together very well. I learned a lot about what you grow for the sheep, and market. Good to see you back on your Utube. Thanks for the video.!!!
Mark, it’s so nice to hear your explanations about farming and your amazing equipment. Thanks for sharing, and I hope that you can get some rest very soon 😊😴
Awhile back you had a new silo put up. I know nothing about silos - how they are put up let along really how you operate them, how they work, and how you maintain them. Would love a tour!
@@MarkBrock Just watched your videos then rolled into a UA-cam video called "Picking Corn 1950's style" . Amazing the difference. Think you might enjoy. One row corn picker. I can remember picking corn in this way.
I am just amazed at how you and family get all this done. If you could, I am blown away by all the equipment, and maintenance. How do farmers finance all this , and do you set say, grain price? Or is that set, and by who? Not asking you to do a lecture series but toss in a factoid now and agin? Thanks for all the hard work!
Hi Mark. I just watched a video by Greg Judy today Dec22 which made me want to pass this onto you. I believe you might be interested in getting away from high fertiliser cost and glyphosate and the non mainstream new science of Soil Health, planting green, roots not iron movement. He introduces Shorty Fensky (who also introduced Blake Vince) very interesting short video. Cheers from Hong Kong via Kincardine,Bruce County 🇨🇦
How do you decide what types and proportions of soybeans (or any crop for that matter) to plant? Do your buyers preorder or contract for a specific type and amount? Thanks for another informative video!
When you have a minute or a month,-----what's the limiting factor keeping you from running the combine at a faster speed? I assume you are moving as fast as you are comfortable with, your sweet spot, but would faster mean your yield really drops off or is harder on your machinery. Still satisfied with your new combine?
Combine speed is usually dependent on engine horsepower. In beans it tend to be more influenced by the ability to cut the beans with the header. Very satisfied with the combine.
Mark, I also watch the Welker farms video's ( north central Montana) and their soy bean harvest was horrible due to a drought. their bushels per acre were minimal. It looks like your doing good though. Are you going to grow Canola again next year?
I am currently pet sitting out in farm country and there is a corn field across from me, another to the right of me and a soybean field to right and across from me lol. Machines have been doing most of the work at night so thinking that they have daytime jobs.
From the city girl … How different do these variety of soy beans 🫘 look? Have you noticed time difference with your larger combine head? You plant ❄️ winter wheat 🌾 in Oct and is ready in July? Does the cover crop get planted on top of the winter wheat?
Nope just for seed corn harvest and there's very little of that in Ontario anymore and it happens south of us a 2 couple hours where they have longer growing seasons.
Still giving us that finger I see! LOL Have missed your side of the farm. Busy busy. I know. Weather has been good for you this year? What's going on up in Canada with fertilizer supply?
My "Highlighted Comment" is right below the Community Guidelines. I apologize for anything I said that was offensive. I think this entire family is wholesome, amazing work ethics and loving. Again, my apologies for a post requiring a UA-cam reminder. 💚🐑☘🚜🥴

Mark I guess I missed your planting Canola, I just watched it
How do you decide what types and proportions of soybeans (or any crop for that matter) to plant? Do your buyers preorder or contract for a specific type and amount? Thanks for another informative video!
Mark . Your cart is the only one I have ever seen that the tarp rolls up on the lower side ,

Enjoyed the video Mark , what’s the latest on your finger ? Take care . Watching from Ocala Florida 🌴☀️

How many combine loads fits into the buggy? And how many buggy loads fits into a wagon?
From the city girl …
How different do these variety of soy beans 🫘 look?
Have you noticed time difference with your larger combine head?
You plant ❄️ winter wheat 🌾 in Oct and is ready in July?
Does the cover crop get planted on top of the winter wheat?
Am I correct in thinking the cover crop isn’t harvested? Does that get chopped up back into the soil?
Mark how did your brewers barley fair is it now beer???
Soybeam seed harvest doesn't require 'custom/seed company harvesters?
Nope just for seed corn harvest and there's very little of that in Ontario anymore and it happens south of us a 2 couple hours where they have longer growing seasons.
How do you like the Claas combine so far? Are you no tilling wheat into bean stubble? Enjoy you/your families channels
Really like the Claas combine and yes we're notilling wheat into soybean stubble
Still giving us that finger I see! LOL Have missed your side of the farm. Busy busy. I know. Weather has been good for you this year? What's going on up in Canada with fertilizer supply?
Fertilizer supply seem good just expensive lol.
Can you do a cabin video
Around $50 per acre in starter fert cost alone....crazy times.
MAP here is $1330 a MT Canadian...ouch
It would help to see a full grown stalk of soybeans. Without getting personal, is this duo soybean fairly profitable?
