As a queer person myself, I think it's pretty awesome that you can be this open about your identity and that this community is a safe space (hopefully) for you. Sorry to hear that you're going through a tough time, and I'm glad that creating content and posting videos can provide you with a happy respite from what you're struggling with. I've only found the channel recently, but I've found a lot of shared love and passion in the F1 Challenge community and its creators - it's nice to see your videos as part of this fandom around a 22-year old game! Looking forward to the next part of Ferdinand's story, whenever it arrives. Hoping for a successful and prosperous 2025 for you, Alexis, happy new year :)
Thank you! To be honest, I'm not sure which community you're referring to. I do not see myself as being part of any particular "group" of people. Furthermore, I do not intend for any of my internet-shenanigans to lead to such endeavors. I thoroughly dislike the idea of Discord servers, Twitch communities or any other such projects, for a multitude of reasons. I am glad you enjoy the videos. F1 Challenge does lend itself incredibly well to storytelling, especially with historic seasons. If anything, it's a shame that many modern titles seem incapable of recreating such adventures.
I'm really sorry to hear you've been struggling, but I'm really happy you've been able to discover who you are and feel able to share this with the world. Being yourself unapologetically is not easy, and I'm saying that as someone who has societal privilege in being a CIS-het man, and am not directly impacted by the current wave of repackaged homophobia that is being directed at trans and queer communities, so I can't begin to imagine how you must've felt coming to make this video. But I empathise as much as I can, and have massive respect for you taking this step. I'm very happy for you! I've enjoyed your recent short video essays and the Wagner series, and look forward to hopefully seeing more! And I hope one day we can catch up over a race. Probably a rerun of an old race rather than a new one based on your feelings towards modern F1 😅 All the very best for the year ahead Alexis!
Thank you! Really appreciate the kind words. :3 I recently send you a friend request on Steam, soooooo I suppose we should be able to work something out. :) Or we could bring back the legendary Le Mans Live adventures sometime this summer. Hope you're doing well, happy new year to you.
@@aleXisCore You're very welcome! Steam request accepted. 😁 Absolutely, Le Mans is also a good option! Thanks very much, still working out the health issues, but I'm hopefully on a path to getting what it is confirmed and treated. 🤞🏼
discovered your channel 14 minutes ago already hooked
Let's make 2025 a banger!
Thanks for the update, happy new year to you, Alexis!
Thank you, James! Hope you're doing well :)
