Hi Sarah. I've watched your videos but never commented. I watch on the TV and am commenting on the computer. I really enjoy seeing your past and present stitches. You are full of interesting ideas for recycling and framing projects. What I enjoy most is your calm presentation and kindness to so many viewers. You share your 'secrets' to doing things and make sure you clearly give the name of the product you use.....like the magnets you showed. I feel I'm sitting there with you chatting. God bless you and Merry Christmas. Patty McDonald
🥰 Thank you! Glad you took the time to say hi!👋🏼 I feel like I’m visiting with the audience so I’m glad you like the videos❤you have my maiden name😮My lost sistah?😅
I don't think we can be related. My parents immigrated from England with my sisters in 1950. I'm their only American born child. Mullineux is my maiden name. We've traced my ancestors to the French Huguenots that came to England in the 1600s for religious freedom. Now my husband could be related. His ancestors were in the civil war and his parents are from Vermont. His name was originally MacDonald...Scottish decent. Kind of off topic huh? You and Running With Scissors are my two favorite flosstubes.@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher
I loved the old charts you found, I remember that designer well, great subjects. I enjoyed each of your visits this past year and can hardly wait for 2024 visits, you have a special place on my lists of videos, love them. Oh Sarah, the Wolf piece is so amazing. I feel your pain about all of the confetti and blends. It's gorgeous.
It's good to see you again. I loved all the items and charts that you showed. Your husband's stocking was so beautiful. I hoped Santa was good to you. Show us what you got in the next video. Can't wait to see you next year.
👋🏼Santa spoiled me😳Have things to show but not sure how I’ll get all my new stitches 🧵 done with the amount of projects I received ❤️Have a wonderful New Years🕰️
i am so glad I found you on floss tube . I enjoyed your videos. I am also a left hand stitch. My Daddy also crossed stitch. I was always amazed by him doing it because he didn't have medium size hands his hands were large . I will look forward to your videos in the future
Hi Sarah, what a treasure to have all those stockings your Dad stitched! I try interspersing smalls with larger projects so that I see progress when I finish ornaments throughout the year.
Thank you for another awesome video Sarah. I hope you had a lovely Christmas & Happy New Year to you. Your wolf is going to be amazing, he needs some love. Like you I'm totally left handed. In my teenage years my Mum tried to teach me to crochet....it ended in tears, to this day I still can't crochet my left hand doesn't coordinate. I think thats why I love cross stitch so much, it's very easy no matter what hand you are❤❤
I had a boyfriend once who taught me to knit but not how to end it? If that makes sense. Anyway it didn’t take😅Thank goodness I found cross stitch ❤️Glad you liked the video! Hope you had a great holiday and Happy New Years to you too🤗
Merry Christmas my friend, I hope 2024 brings you happiness and health are perfect along with your lovely stitching. What fun it would be to have a backwards sweater contest. I am so sorry you lost your best stitching friend. I hope you show us the Sampler soon, Winter is beautiful design, the wolves are beautiful, maybe do the birds on a mottled green fabric instead of stitching the whole thing. Thank-you for sharing your Christmas and Winter book of designs. You have a gift for decorating your home thank-you for sharing the photos. Happy New Year
The wolf stitch is amazing! To decide what to stitch next, you could write the names of the patterns that speak to you the most on slips of paper and pull them out of an envelope or container of some kind. You could also have more than one envelope and separate your want to do by season or holiday. Happy holidays and happy stitching!
I’m going down the project bucket o bliss! Going to kit up an insane number and just do what makes me happy. Thinking about making rules for myself makes me stressed. Happy New Years to you🤗🥳🕰️
I think you should always stitch what makes you happy. I am mostly a monogamous seasonal stitcher, so having more than 1 WIP would just give me hives! That also doesn't mean that I don't have a number of patterns kitted up and ready to go when the current one is finished. My problem is finally finishing them. I just want to stitch! @@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher
Just love the enthusiasm and excitement you experience when purchasing thrift items - I’m right there with you… those places are a treasure trove of fantastic and unique items. We have a Savors near us and it’s a regular weekly visit there for me. I particularly loved to look through their frames area… so beautiful and certainly priced to sell… Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season!🎄
I LOVE Savers! Not close to me😢Heading to a Goodwill tomorrow though. Also some Christmas sales at various favorite hunting spots. 😂Sounds like we’d be a great shopping duo❤Happy New Year😊
So many projects to be had! Your stash of goodies is tempting in so many directions. I like the idea previous in the comments about writing down patterns - I would pick a subject like chickadees- and picking from a bowl to start off. I am doing “winter” right now. Nothing very large and some smalls. I am not one to do the 24/24, etc starts. I border on monogamous as I like to see things at least get a FO and if possible a FFO. Several kitted projects ready waiting for their turns as the mood strikes. Happy new year!
Thanks for the Christmas video! I hope your cat gets well…so sweet under the tree. My cats loved being under the tree and thankfully not in it. Your wolf piece is beautiful. You should try to set a goal like 100 stitches a week and maybe it will motivate you to do more or have it be a reward to start something new. What a storm that was, huh? Thankfully my power stayed on but what a mess I had to clean up. Hundreds of pine cones and branches all over my driveway and yard. Got the driveway cleaned but the rest will stay there till spring! Happy New Year
It was an awful storm😢thankfully things are improving but amazing amount of damage. Our sweet kitty is eating and seemed to enjoy her toys and new heated bed❤waiting on labs to get to the bottom of a real diagnosis. Please ask about the wolf stitch often next year. We need a reminder 😅Happy New Year😊
Happy New Year, Sarah. Just an idea of how to choose your next project. Go through the ones that you are really drawn to and choose either 6 or 12 and quickly number them with post it notes pined to them. Role one or two dice and stitch the one whose number gets thrown. You can also do this with dominoes. Happy stitching!
I am a big fan of older charts and I can tell you are going to be a trouble maker. 😂 I had to go out and purchase Season of Love when you showed it. Great video. I’m looking forward to many more.
Watching this video on the 26th. I hope you had a wonderful Holiday. No snow yet in Connecticut and the temps have been mild so it does not feel like winter. My Dad was from Rumford Maine and we spent many summers with my cousins on Worthly Pond. Maine is my happy place and I would live there if I could. We visit every year and my cousins are still there. Wishing you a 2024 filled with good health, lots of stitching and peace. 🤩 You could place a numbered sticky note on each chart/ place numbered slips of paper in a bowl - close your eyes & chose a number. Stitch the corresponding chart. Just an idea.
I recognize most of your patterns from the 80s lol. Maybe, you could choose by putting names of about a dozen patterns into a bowl and drawing one or you could do a decision wheel?? Love the work your dad did, and I'm so happy you two had something you could both enjoy together!! Happy Holidays and thank you so much for the video!!
Merry Christmas Sarah Scissorhands! Loved seeing your collection of scissors. You must stitch on your wolf project even if it’s only 15 minutes a day. I tested positive for RSV, so my poor lungs are "singing" to me. I just love listening to my lungs singing songs to me -- NOT. 😆If I told you this in a previous comment, forgive me. Pretty WIP, great Christmas handmade card, cool books. I put a bunch of WIPS & New Starts I want to start onto a Spreadsheet, I'm up to 30 items. Then I pick a number & go for it. Bummer no snow. Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas to you & Nick Sarah! I had to order Moonlight as soon as I saw it. I looked for Seasons of Love but couldn't find it (as if I don't have enough to stitch). Thanks for your videos.
Oh my gosh my grandma stitched the gingerbread house twice my aunt has one and I have the other but it’s all stitched I just have to put it together. My goal is to put it together this year. I have completed the wolf for my sister and it hangs in her house. It was a chore, but it’s beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Merry Christmas Sarah, coming from another Mainer. I look forward to watching your videos every week and enjoy the contents so much! Thank you for taking time to make these videos!
Merry Christmas to you and your family Sarah! You need to finish that wolf project. It is so beautiful. Another great flosstube you have made. Happy stitching to you.
Hi Sarah...found it!....It's Santa the Toymaker by Carol Emmer Designs. It's a pattern but also a stocking kit by Candemar Designs. Your dad had such patience to make all those stockings ...they are so wonderful! I think we are xstitching twins in alot of ways..I learned at about the same age as you did and never let go. My todo list is huge and you help me add to it!❤
You go ennie, minnie, mo!!! LOL It's going to be 2024 in one week. Why not pick out 4 or 5 and start them? I'm not good at doing more than 2 at a time. I must admit I plan on starting a couple more in the coming year. I want to do a temperature chart plus my monthly ones I do for my calendar. I'm almost finished with the first one from Hands on Designs. I'm about to start on one by Country Cottage Needleworks. No telling what else I might find to stitch on in the New Year. There is Nashville coming in March!! LOL
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Lovely decorations. I hope your kitty is healthier. Choosing which pattern to start can be difficult for me and then I invariably see a new pattern.
The santa stocking your dad made is an old kit from Candamar Designs called "The Toymaker" by Carol Emmer from 1997. After seeing yours I went down the rabbit hole and found a kit on Ebay. I love some of the old patterns. There is a lot of backstitching (I don't mind) which really creates great detail. Thank you for another great video. ❤😊
Wow, wow, loved dad's story and his stitchy goodness. That wolf stitch is crazy awesome and MUST be next Christmas gift to Nick, get cracking! Have you ever used the small hole plastic canvas ?might have to send you a oiece or two to try out, I will have to look, but think it is probably the same size holes as perforated paper. Hugs.
Yes I like the perforated plastic too❤I have a few ornaments on them. I’ll have to show my bucket o paper and plastic 😅you could say I’ve been collecting it. I HAVE to get that wolf done. Keep at me! I need nagging ❤
You could maybe find a 6 count vinyl for stitching - is this done over 2 or over 1 - if over 2 you could use a 12 count over 1 - would that work or is it the reverse?

Merry Christmas to you & Nick Sarah! I had to order Moonlight as soon as I saw it. I looked for Seasons of Love but couldn't find it (as if I don't have enough to stitch). Thanks for your videos.
Ah, the dangers of flosstube 😅sorry, not sorry. Happy stitching ❤😊
I see you have something new mounted on the wall !!!
I know riiiight?😊Hubby has set me up with tv so I can craft AND watch flosstube! Wonder if this is a tactic to keep me off the living room tv 😳😅
Merry Christmas!!

Thank you! 🥳 Happy New Year❤😊
Oh my gosh my grandma stitched the gingerbread house twice my aunt has one and I have the other but it’s all stitched I just have to put it together. My goal is to put it together this year. I have completed the wolf for my sister and it hangs in her house. It was a chore, but it’s beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Wow! Great minds think alike!!!😮Now I’m definitely going to kit up that gingerbread house❤Please keep at me about the wolves…I need a good kick😅
merry Christmas to you and Nick, loved the story about your dad and your stitching.
Glad you enjoyed it😊Happy New Years❤
Hello. The Santa stocking made by your father, is a pattern/kit by Candamar Designs. The pattern is "Santa, Toymaker Stocking". It is beautiful...
Thanks for the info! Yay!!!!😃❤️

Merry Christmas to you and your family Sarah! You need to finish that wolf project. It is so beautiful. Another great flosstube you have made. Happy stitching to you.
Ohmygosh PLEASE keep at me about the wolves. I so need to get it done. So much to stitch and not enough time in the day. Happy New Years 🎉❤
Your wolf is wonderful. It needs you working on it!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼keep at me!!😊
Merry Christmas to you and your family Sarah. Good luck and good health in the new year. I look firward to your podcast each time you to record.
Thank you Susan😊Happy New Years❤
Hi Sarah...found it!....It's Santa the Toymaker by Carol Emmer Designs.
It's a pattern but also a stocking kit by Candemar Designs.
Your dad had such patience to make all those stockings ...they are so wonderful!
I think we are xstitching twins in alot of ways..I learned at about the same age as you did and never let go.
My todo list is huge and you help me add to it!❤
😂The dangers of Flosstube❤
You go ennie, minnie, mo!!! LOL It's going to be 2024 in one week. Why not pick out 4 or 5 and start them? I'm not good at doing more than 2 at a time. I must admit I plan on starting a couple more in the coming year. I want to do a temperature chart plus my monthly ones I do for my calendar. I'm almost finished with the first one from Hands on Designs. I'm about to start on one by Country Cottage Needleworks. No telling what else I might find to stitch on in the New Year. There is Nashville coming in March!! LOL
I’m so overwhelmed with decisions! Especially after unwrapping 😮Just wait til I show the projects😳❤😅
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Lovely decorations. I hope your kitty is healthier. Choosing which pattern to start can be difficult for me and then I invariably see a new pattern.
I’m like a crow “Oh! Shiny!” And then I buy another😂Happy New Year 🎉
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher Happy New Year
The santa stocking your dad made is an old kit from Candamar Designs called "The Toymaker" by Carol Emmer from 1997.
Could you use burlap to stitch the placemats? Happy New Year.
Huh, hadn’t thought of that. Wonder if I can find burlap 😮
Cross stitch and Country Crafts, there is a book of several of their stocking charts. Could be a Leisre Art chart.
I wonder if that’s where he got it. I did get boxes and boxes of magazines and books
You could maybe find a 6 count vinyl for stitching - is this done over 2 or over 1 - if over 2 you could use a 12 count over 1 - would that work or is it the reverse?
That’s an idea😮❤
Candamar designs (correction)
on the placemat, couldn't you use 12 ct and just stitch over 2?
I’m not sure. Have to sit and do some calculations. I’ve always wanted these but know that first meal is bound to get a stain😅
I enjoy your videos, please raise your mic volume. I have to raise my sound to 100 to hear you.
Sarah 123 has 3 mill hill Christmas books
And I got a gift certificate for Christmas to 123😮🎉😂❤
It’s my destiny
