I love the Bee Mindful piece on that journal; I think the blue cover really sets off the stitching. 🪡👠
@@stitchinginhighheels9529 Thank you! It was a great find for those colors ❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Take care, Sarah...you sound like you're coming down with a cold! That was some badass porcupine chasing!
It’s winter allergies on top of Stuart cuddles ❤
Thanks for the video! Loved watching your finishing video too!
You’re welcome! 💖
Love your videos! Still wish we lived side by side!
Oh the trouble we could get into!😂
Thank you Sarah for showing my Mariner's Map! I'm surprised the booklet is still available.
So sorry it took so long 😮It’s exquisite!!!❤
Thank you Sarah. Avoid chasing porcupines. 😂
They are not dangerous unless I touch it. They need to find friendly pastures, not my yard. Hubby gets a laugh at the antics😂
❤🤗💕
@@icraft4yrprotection 💗🤗 🧵
Wow Sarah, I’ve never seen a porcupine in the wild. I grew up in Massachusetts ( suburbs ) we had skunks and raccoons. Happy stitching. ❤
@@lindaskinner5887 Porcupines are EVERYWHERE here🫤Stink kittens too. They always come when I call “here kitty, kitty”. I once faced off with a raccoon but they are true gangsters. They aren’t afraid of anybody or anything 😅
Thanks for sharing the tin idea and how you created those tops. By the way - I got one of each of the Kiriki kits she had - she still has more! I actually put all my current stitchy knitting kits into one of the mesh bags with the handle. I had three of them on hand so I used all three...... of course I guess I will have to order more since I got more yarn up at Lakeside that I will need to kit up! Haha. It was such a great trip up to Lakeside - she still has plenty of yarn, patterns and threads in stock! I will definitely be looking forward to the "toilet paper roll" tutorial! I collect those and want to make those snowflakes with Allie! I have a collection of the utensils that I use up at camp.
@@granitestatestitchers Can’t wait to go😢Did ya get threads 🧵?
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher Yes! Lol
Those tins are adorable and I absolutely love the journal - happy stitching!! ❤❤

Thank you Sarah for another great video and thank you for sharing. I want to say that I am suprised to see how many subscribers you have vs the number of 'likes'. I think that people simply forget to hit the like button. None of my business, but I love your videos so much.
@@JulieMork I’m guilty too. I’m watch lots of flosstubes on my tv and sometimes forget to back to hit the like button. 🤷🏼♀️Also rarely mention it in my videos.
You’re so funny : “ok, I have a lot (of utensils).” 😂 Aw, porcupine. But scuffling with it would be both painful for the dog AND one’s wallet for certain.
@@LadybirdsAndBees I chase them whenever I see them. Let them be comfortable somewhere else🫤
Always good to see you and what you are doing even when you are chasing wildlife. I’ve never seen a porcupine in the wild, but I’ve watched Dr. Pohl on TV and he gets dogs with their mouth and face full of barbs in his clinic frequently. Must be so painful. Happy stitching while it snows🪡🪡
@@j.a.devanney7523 Somewhere there’s a video of me chasing a porcupine and he climbed a tree🤦🏼♀️not where I wanted him. Hubby was laughing at me running after him so n my crocs.
love your videos watch them all. For your circles cut your fabric about an inch larger than your cardboard then use a running stitch all around about a 1/4 inch in from edge and pull. It will gather up right around your cardboard . try it
Thanks for the info!
Hi Sarah, I love Mondays as I just enjoyed your video with a mug of hot chocolate, so I’m heaven lol , love that green wool it looks super soft, I’d love a big baggy jumper in that. Thank you for showing how you cover your tins it’s great to learn new things and to see how you can finish your stitches. And thank you for showing other people’s finishes too, there all beautiful. Take care 💗🇬🇧
Great video, love the tomatoes! And the notebook, nice. Enjoyed all the stitches sent in, wonderful to see. Thanks Sarah!

I like the Bee Mindful stitch. I also enjoy stitchers sending you pictures of their creations. 😊 Snow, that’s just mean. Here in TX, we are 20+ degrees above average. 70’s this week.👎🏻 Spoons, forks, knives, and porcupines, oh my! 😉
@@DarleneGuillory 😅I see what you did there 🎶🎵

Your yarn is lovely!!! I too, have loom knitted. Lol, I found myself leaning over in my chair trying to get a peek at the ?Christmas tree? that was on the right side of your desk as you worked on the lid. Yup, I know that won't help me see more of your desk and got a good laugh at myself when I realized I was doing it! What is that pattern?
@@deborahmistark9386 that was a little chart from Cotton and Twine years ago. Not sure I saved the chart though to be sure and I didn’t label it🤦🏼♀️
You could use a label making machine for the magnet and the little design on top, instead of glue.
You are so very creative. If you want a smoother circle make a yo yo to put around your lid. Cut a circle about a half inch larger than your lid. Use a gather stitch around the circle and pull around your circle. I am sure you tube has a video.
@@carolinaquiltervt9638 I saw one but got intimidated 🫤Sometimes just playing around with something comes out ok😅
I watch you all the time. I enjoy you so much! You have so many creative crafts you do, your collecting is my favorite! I am a fellow Mainer. I am from Aroostook County. My friend Patti and I attended the Library Stitchers’ Retreat last spring and are planning to attend this spring. I did meet you at the retreat. I am sure you would not remember. I recognized you because I follow you. You were visiting tables sharing your infectious smile and friendliness. The retreat was the first retreat my friend, Patti, and I attended. The atmosphere astounding!!! There were no strangers…..everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hope to see you this spring. The reason for my comment is your flatware collection. I too have a flatware collection through thrifting. I have had them for years. My intention is to make wind chimes still on my “to do list.” I had to laugh when you picked up the first piece to show us……it is a piece of my “good” flatware or at least it is the same pattern. You have inspired me to go on a quest to see if I can add to my set through thrifting, you seem to find such treasures. I too enjoy thrifting and giving new life to discarded things. Keep sharing ……I look forward to your flosstube, your crafts, your trips, the treasures you find, your rearranging, especially the stories of your life events……your cheerfulness is enchanting and so infectious. Thanks keep on “keep in on”😊
@@juliannaboyd8992 oh my goodness! If you’re ever up my way we HAVE to go hunting together!!!! Definitely will see you again this April ❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I have a knitting loom myself a circular one for hats haven't tried it yet but will do amongst other things lols. Love the goodies and the yarn looks lovely and soft 😍
@@laracraftwellwithart I’m thinking of grabbing some more next time I’m up in Greenville ❤️
Cut your fabric In a circle larger than the lid .then use a heavier thread and sew around outer edge of circle .place padded lid face down on fabric ,pull thread tight ,check front and tie off. You will have a good circle! Good luck😚
@@peggykanz1473 I’ve seen that done but don’t seem to have the talent. This wacky method seems to work🤓
Exactly what I was thinking, it does give you smoother edges!
A lot easier way to do it.
I bet tutorials are not easy to show, but we get the idea. Bent Creeks are fun, and see how it spells HOG in different color floss. Yikes on the Porcupine !!!
Good video, have a good week😊
Just finished watching (1 am) your show. Loved watching the porcupine waddling across your yard. I have some suggestions on (I think) a better way to gather your material for your tops to your little cans. it will take me a day or 2 to do it and take pictures. Have a wonderfully fun week and absolutely enjoy the snow.
@@AlbertaPrice-v5h I sure did wake up to snow this morning! It’s coming down daily now❤️

Another great video Sarah, thank you for all the fun ideas, I’m loving the little spools, that would be a great easy stitch to do watching television. I love the moon and spider pattern so I’m on the hunt for the fabric as that’s so gorgeous and that lovely little teapot can’t wait to see how you finish that 💗🇬🇧

You might try using some inexpensive plastic sewing machine bobbins in your sewing kits. Use the sewing machine to load them up and Bob’s your uncle.
