Honestly, this is one of those bikes you need to ride first before you judge. Had it for a month now and it WILL surprise you once you give it. My brothers KX100 and this go toe to toe no matter how often we swap.
I raced 65s and 85s in 2000s and remember when the 150 came out. Pretty badass bike. Shit I remember when the KTM 85 came out not too long before the crf150s
no electric start like the new crf250? she's right though, I started/learned to ride on the 150RB and it was great to learn on. But I moved up to the 250 6 months ago
Brayden OOF don’t waist money on this bike, you’ll probably grow out of it considering your 14, unless you find one cheap just ride your current bike until you can get a full size

@@geo745don efi would add 10 lbs to the bike with the battery and ect. the 150r is already 15 lbs heavier than a ktm 85. efi makes no sense and carbs have better throttle response
Old comment but LOL a 85 would annihilate this bike easily, you'd need a 200-250cc 4-stroke to be really higher up in class compared to a 85, more like 2-t 50cc->2-t 65cc->crf150->2-t 85cc->250 4-joke or 125 2-stroke then 250 2-stroke or 450 joke :)

Look everybody, its the same damn bike since 2007, with literally 0 updates since then, with acceleration that'll max out 5th gear before halfway down a straight, with a god awful single piston front caliper, go along with a chassis that's extremely cramped for anybody over 5'4
I hope they never black out the rims, looks great the way it is, I've never seen a bike that looks good with black rims. Yamaha's blues look great, so does just plain aluminum/steel.
I think it’s safe to say that, if this bike is not properly set to your weight & not serviced/maintained properly, but mostly if the suspension is not set to your weight, you will have an awful time on this bike. I don’t know why, but If your suspension isn’t properly set up to your weight, you will hate this bike so much. You’ll be super uncomfortable, unconfident, and feel like you’re constantly fighting the bike.
SpiderMonkey you'd feel like that on any bike. From experience the 150 is the best bike in that class. And stay away from KTM and Husqvarna. Those things blow up regularly. I like the kawi 85 tho

Exactly its a bad ass bike I have a yz 85 and a 150 and I would take the 150 any day the power is so sweet and fun blows the 85 out of the water.

the 150's are truly amazing bikes. I rode one when I was on a 250, any gear in a strait it would wheelie. Tons of power and it would PULL.
It’s a race bike and shouldn’t be tested as a comparison to a farm bike. Put a racer on it and ask them questions

150s have a few more hp, and also sometimes they can be a bit taller than most 85s. So I assume that would be why.
I have a 150rb and my friend has a kx85 and I smoke him every time we race and he rides more than I do.

The 250r and 450r have fuel injection. There is no point in putting fuel injection on 150r, just a pain in the ass. Besides, carbs are awesome

Personally, I really don’t the 150R. Go with an 85. Any 85. But I think the YZ85 or KTM 85SX or TC85 is slightly better than the rest of the 85s
