A Simple Tubing Roller
Вставка

- I needed some curved steel for a few upcoming projects, so I decided to scrounge the shop for materials to build a tubing / flat bar roller. Here's what I came up with using 100% scrap materials... Enjoy!

I saw another guy's roller earlier and thought "I bet the first thing he bent was the turning wheel". Baam! Nice.
now your just showing off fantastic skills and design and the way you cut out pieces
Dude! You are on a whole different level! That’s impressive!
Thanks Bryan!
Great Job!!! Thanks for sharing your creation and your talent.
Thank you!
That's probably one of the better tubing benders I've seen made. Cool dude.
Thanks Carl!
That is awesome. Love that workshop. I am completely jealous
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Very cool build! Inspirational stuff man, I appreciate it.
Thanks for watching! And I appreciate the comment.
Nice job. Never saw someone so quick and clever with the plasma cutter before. Cool tool.
Thank you!
Yes indeed! You make it look easy as usual. Nice work.
Thank you Troye!
Nice job!
Well done...Thats a nice addition to any shop!
Thanks! It comes in handy more than I thought it would.
Nice work! May have to build one of these for my metal shop build out
Good luck!
Very nice machine. Well done. You have the blueprints.
Thank you! No blue prints, sorry.
very good project. This is the one i was looking for !!!
that is all kind of wicked cool !
Thanks!
Nice build, simple, works, scrap material, beautiful! I really need a plasma cutter.
Thanks! Yes, they are very handy for so many things.
Good project! I like how the video got right to the point.
Thank you!
Brilliant work!!!!!! .Tony from Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Tony!
and you made that in 6 min and 12 seconds. amazing. :) I like that. I need one of those.
Thank you!
Badass brother!
Thanks bro!
Coolest part is you used the thing to make a part for the thing - ha! Best, @HoneyOnWales
Haha. Thanks!

It is almost 23:00 o clock at night here in Greece and I m watching a crazy - awesome project of yours Simple ...simple where is the simplicity ........... Glad to have back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, thanks for watching! And glad to be back!
Papa Carroll. Great to have you back making videos.
Thanks!
Nice build.
Thanks Eddie.
This is how Harbor Freight got its start! Lol. Great job! 👍🏻
Haha. Thanks!
Would be most appreciated if you could even give general dimensions. HxWxL. thickness of steel used and size of rollers. What would you do different now that you have used it for awhile?
Buen trabajo, gracias por compartir
Gracias por verlo!
Dang I wish I had a ring roller...or the know-how to make one. Great work on this build! 👍🏻
Thanks Seth!
Um, he just showed you how to make one? Maybe you mean you wish you had all the other tools required to make one. Put me in that camp too ;)
Super job,.
Thanks
Nice job
Thank you
Excellence!
Thanks digger!
Very cool, add a couple springs to the pressure side so I will return on its own.
Good idea
A handy little tool. I'm one of those worthless folks that bought the HF version. Good on ya
Thanks Skeetmgeet
Sweet next job to do .simple no fuss .
Nicely done. Is the top threaded rod quite difficult to turn? Would it be possible to make another hand wheel instead of having to busy out the impact driver each time you want to use it?
It’s not very easy. Using a wrench would probably be better. Thin steel a hand wheel would work though.
Is that a carbide tipped blade on the chop saw?
Did you have some measurments for this to make it like that
Great job i do have the same project but big one
Good luck!
death by tool envy
GREAT TOOL!!! Where you at? If you're not in AZ., sell me that tool.
Simple but effective
That’s the way I like it!
TFS ❤️🤗
You’re welcome 😉
I'm interested in one
Ok👏👏👏
hello do you have plans for sale, some people can look ,watch & build one ,,not me i need plans or build 2 or 3 then get it right ,,, thanks for the video have a great day
No I’m sorry I don’t.
where did you get the drill bits you used on the drill press on the tubing roller
Those are rota broach cutters. I bought them on amazon.
What is the thickness of the metal you used to make it...
3/16”
rsts de lujo en cuanto sale una soy de mexico
Had to subscibe
Thanks!
You need to start selling them and I'll be the first buyer.
Do you sale those?
TODO ESTA MUY BIEN..., PERO X FAVOR... LAS MEDIDAS SÍ PUDIERAN MANDARLAS...! GRACIAS. DESDE PERÚ....
Are you using rotabroaches to drill the holes?
Yes I am.
I’m a dork I just realized I was the one who recommended them to you ages ago!
Also, I just read you can prolong the life of these cutters if you flap disc the mill scale off the hot rolled steel before you drill the holes.
Haha, I should have checked the name but was too busy.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll start doing it. They’re not cheap...
Just saw your video on tubing roller it’s a very good design. If you have metal dimensions and drawings please let me know
Thank you. I’ll see if I can put some together.
Why don't guys tack weld a short piece of the same material to both ends of the stock to avoid the snipe (kinked ends that end up being cut off scrap) This would make a smooth circle on a full length piece of stock and then cut off the tacked on section and clean up?
I think that would be a lot more work than just starting with a longer piece and cutting off the kink
Perfect. But is this simple ? :D
Thank you! It’s about as simple as it can be. Maybe I could make an even simpler one...
Yea Chickens at 0:38
which steel are these axles ?
i bought 3 axles from
1.0570 | St52K | S355JRC+C
with 25 mm - 1"
maybe its the wrong steel
i cant test the machine because i have to wait for 2 parts (
threaded rod )
I just used cold rolled round bar that I had.
Вместо колеса гайку приварить под шуруповёрт и будет счастье
How much would you charge me for one
I wouldn't have time to make any for sale...
@@AModernMaker Thank you for responding. You did an amazing job.
Thanks!
Please share drawings
This is awsome but might i suggest that you not use the gloves while running the machines. I have seen many fingers lost, mangled and sliced due to this
Good point
Nice work, but it is not "A SIMPLE" my friend.
Haha. Yeah i guess not...
If is that's what he called saple .roller.UUUUuuuu wow.
I need.at least.
One drill.one tape.one welder machine.one sheet metal 4x8.one press. Screws.
Noooah. I RATHER TO BUY IT AT HARBOR TOOL'S
You pretty much made a horrible freight roller. For 150 bucks you get a few sets of dies too.
Thanks for the view. But for free I made a roller that did what I needed it to do and learned what I wanted and needed to make a better version.
Not worth it.built mine spent way more than could have bought
Yeah if you don’t have a lot of material on hand, it’s not worth it.
